My tobeco still tastes like an oil put but works well with ni200

How did u clean urs???

I used dish soap for the soaking with a tooth brush scrub. Then a nice hot water rinse with a soft towel dry followed with an alcohol wipe. No oil at all...

I boiled the living poo out of mine.... twice. I did this with the insulators in figuring that they have to stand up to much higher temperatures when firing anyway.

And by living poo I mean I boiled the water until it was roiling, dumped the pieces in and then turned off the heat and covered the pot. Let it sit until the water went room temperature (a couple hours) and then repeat.

Which insulator? 2 or 10? You don't have to take out 2 but 10 comes out fairly easily by unscrewing the 510 pin and then pushing it down, pushing out 10 and 11.

Boiling the bushings or o-rings shouldn't be an issue as they're meant to resist much higher temps than 212°F.

I was talking about #2. So you are saying when you take out the 510 that 10 and 11 should just fall out???

Robbot Tech Kayfun4 version is pretty good. A clear bell cap for it is next on the list ;)

Thanks to some suggesting floss, put it under #16 and got through a tank without leaks.

So now I'm back to my original problem, the AFC doesn't seem to do anything. Right now I'm vaping away with it completely closed. My understanding is it should completely shut off like a kfl if completely tightened.

The one thing I didn't take apart in the cleaning is the deck, so I'm surprised I'm having this problem. Does part 15 have anything to do with air flow? Wondering if it somehow shrunk during soaking when cleaning.

If not that, is there anything that could be the culprit with AFC not working?

BTW looks nice on the p3, would an authentic p3 hybrid adapter work with a clone? If not how come they don't clone the adapter.

The reason for hot/boiling water is to get the oil more viscous and easier to lift off the metal. Same with hot tap water rinse. If you let it cool to room temp, it stays put. Dish washing liquid is very tough on grease and oil and better than isopropyl alcohol or simple green, IMO. There's really no need to soak for more than 5-10 mins.

10 and 11 doesn't "fall out" but you can push them out fairly easily, at least on my FT "A" and Tobeco.

I got some major leaking with Tobeco KF4 with PC tank and stock O-rings.

However, does not leak at all with glass or SS mid section.

I noticed when I screw on the PC tank, it seems really loose and not really catching the 2 O-rings on top and bottom (#27 and #34) to make a proper seal. It's as if the O-rings are too "skinny" or there's too much space for the O-rings on the PC tank.

Does anyone have similar issues with the PC tank on the Tobeco clone?

I'd say that you have a good understanding of it. You should be able to feel the "drag'" especially if dry once the sealing edge of the tank meets the o-ring.

I haven't had that problem with my plastic tank. Maybe try lubing the o rings with some juice to see if it'll create a better seal?
