What an informative (and lengthy) thread. I just purchased the eCigar variant and so far I'm enjoying it to the point of looking at the black one.
I'm curious to the preferred manufacturer is right now.
Kayfun v4 Rebuildable Atomizer Clone. **IN STOCK**
EHPro Kayfun V4 (Fixed)
or something else.

Thanks much.

Before getting my EHPro Kv4 they would have been my top choice. But this one is problematic.Outside of the top cap being incorrect, which I addressed in it's own thread, the juice control was seized up and was a PITA to get working. And the base will not come apart at all. It works. But nowhere near the quality that EHPro is known for. The perils of being an early adopter.

I'll bet the glass would not have made it.
Yup, that glass is fragile ... mine didn't survive rolling off a counter.

Also noticed the plastic replacement tank needs special delicate care - wife was putting hers back together after a rewick & cleanup, she must have torqued it down too much.
Theres a small bit of plastic after the threads stop on the tank, this strip crumbled right off.

I had planned on using the glass tank. But the juice capacity is the smallest. For me the poly tank is already small enough. And it has the largest capacity.

I may be wrong but I thought the poly tank was the smallest because the glass and steel tanks flare out to 23 mm while the poly tank is only 22 mm?

if anyone is interested in the Infinite/SXK version theres a good review up now.

Pretty good review. Looks like the Infinite might be the one to beat. I like the way they include the bell cap and an extra spring. Of course Infinite is known for including goodies. Their KFL+ v2 came with the Nano kit for less than the EHPro version cost.

One good review on the Infinite won't prove to me that they are #1. I keep hearing that Tobeco is the one to beat.

It's tough to watch his reviews, most of the time they are more like rants or b!tch sessions. He must have gotten a lemon Tobeco because most of the reviews here are very positive.

So HE pinches an o-ring and rants about it and give the product a thumbs down??? What a tool. I stopped watching from there.

I have 2 clones with lots of spare o-rings and should have 2 Tobecos by Monday. 16 and 18 are the only 2 o-rings that aren't as common but they're not unobtanium.

I have three different suppliers K4 with a forth on the way.

FT - red o-ring model - the O-rings were either out of spec or to soft and needed to be replaced because the tank leaked. Top to bottom new Buna 70's were used and the tank performs well. The UC counter screw is supposed to be milled to stop at the thickness of the upper section. On this model the milling went to far and it allows the screw to be over tightened on the UC Upper Section. These two parts when loose also create the resistance jumping. Opening and closing the JC will cause this screw to loosen and need fine tuning when you wash it. Outside of that the tank works pretty well.

Tobeco - worked fine for me after a good bubble bath. The UC screw appears to be spec and no adjustments required after a couple weeks of use.

Code Vape required o-ring 16 and 18 to be replaced. The UC counter screw can be over tightened causing binding on the JC adjustment.

The 510 pin on each can also be over tightened which will cause the JC adjustment to bind and not move smoothly.

To ThunderDans point, these are good tanks with a ton of parts that need to be put together correctly and fine tuned. User error or learning curve plays a role with this tank.

I'll be interested to see how the black EHPro performs when I get it. I had one in my hand yesterday at a local B&M and they let me break it down. It was nicely built and the JC worked well after tuning it. They were happy because they got to see all the pieces and how it really isn't that big of a deal to put all 41 pieces on the counter and then rebuild it. If it would have had the correct nut I would have had one to play with at home.

Each time I've changed juice I have broke the entire tank down and flushed it with hot water. The entire tank can be thrown back together in 5 minutes or less. I also have most O-rings sizes at the house and prefer using them over the one's supplied by the vendors since I have greater confidence they are to spec size wise. So far I haven't had to modify or add anything to these suppliers tanks to get them to produce a good vapor without leaking.

I know I know. Lots of Tobeco love from you. But there are many, many people having issues with the Tobeco. True some of them can be fixed with tinkering or waiting for new o-rings. But most people like to take it out of the box, build and vape. Clean as necessary of course. I just hate to buy something that I have to modify, fix or tinker with to get it working. Yeah it is only one review. But for the most part Infinite always get good reviews. Tobeco not so much.

I got the HCigar one. Still in the mail. But it had 2 pluses for me: no logo and 316ss. I know that there are not too many of them out there, however, I have not seen any really negative reviews either. As long as it does not leak and the threads are good, it can't be bad, right?

OK, i got a v4 2 weeks back from here Authentic Quality Kayfun V4 Kayfun 4 Rebuildable Atomizer w FULL56 Page Booklet | eBay I have no idea "who" made this version. I am on my 3rd rewick, cotton & running a 28g twisted .6ohm coil. Other then a stiff fluid control ring, that has now worked in very nicely i have no issues. I figured it was under 30 bux, why not. I wanted an OEM v4, but i have a dead money tree in my back yard. The past 2 weeks, perfect service from this atty :)

Are we on the same thread? I don't see "many, many" people having issues with the Tobeco. Mine is working perfectly out of the box. No tinkering at all.

I'm not gonna go back and pull posts and reviews that I am come across over the last week. Honestly I have no reason to make it up. Just because you have a perfect Tobeco does not mean that everybody does. I have seen the negative issues. They are out there. You just aren't really looking because you have a good one. This defending of the Tobeco Kv4 when someone says they have an issue or have seen issues is bordering on fanboy talk. None of them, even the authentic are perfect by a longshot.
