I have no previous experience with Tobeco but their KFL versions weren't very good from reviews I've seen so I tried to stay away from them but the initial positive reviews and that they offered one in black made me order one. I ordered a silver Tobeco within hours of getting the black one.

I got my black one from them. Took almost as long as if I ordered from China. And lying about shipping was enough to not want to order anything from them again.

Wasn't a fan of Tobeco either, they were pretty near my last choice 6 months or so ago. However they seem to have stepped up, and improved greatly, I've got 6 different clones they've done in the last few months, all are exceptionally well done, one rda in particular is much better then an Infinite version of it.

Hope they keep it up because they not only have some of the better clones right now, but they are also some of the better priced.

Is Hcigar a manufacturer or just another reseller like Infinite? The only clones I've seen claiming 316ss is Hcigar and the KGOTech from Desire. Hcigar is over $40, KGOTech is like $18.

Ivogo is also claiming 316 which Fasttech has listed for $24.98 Not sure I'd buy an Ivogo though, they've been real hit, & miss for me, have gotten some superb clones, as well as a few real dogs that needed major work to function.

I have the Tobeco and I am having a problem , I'm getting major dry hits i'm not sure If it just can't keep up with me vaping or if my rayon cotton is the problem ( I would assume to much?)
any help would be appreciated.... yuck dry hits !!!

Make sure your juice channels are not obstructed, my Tobeco was clean, but the Robot Tech I have was not even properly drilled, then look to your build. Rayon is working well for me, but I've found it needs to be fanned out more then a cotton build, also make sure it is on the deck without being so heavily done that it is blocking juice flow.

The only time I was getting dry hits on my V4 was when I left the wick tails a little too long. Rewicked with shorter trails and problem solved. I think I was blocking the juice holes. I use Japanese cotton though. Are you sure juice control is all the way open? I think it is 2 1/4 turns on mine.

Second2none I'm not running rayon but I can tell you my chimney is full with OC. I was getting dry hits until I cut my wick so that it is just barely off the deck. Unlike some of the folks my cotton is over the juice holes but you could probably slide a business card (or less) in between the wick and the deck. I hit the wick with liquid but don't compress it I just make sure the chimney won't move the wick when I screw it down. When you look straight down the chimney looks full.

I've used this for a couple weeks and the vapor is so thick and flavorful it's insane. Just keep the wick to close to the juice channels so the juice just flows to the deck and wick right up.

Good luck, don't give up. Once you get it right is a solid vape.

thanks for the business card tip thats helpful , I've had it since Friday and it only gave me occasional dry hits ,but I noticed some juice coming out the airholes and figured 4 days of heavy vaping my grape/punch it was time for a new wick. So I figured it was user error more than machine but this does seem to give more dry hits than the old kayfun, but that had a single airhole to prime it

Pretty much like anti-freeze, only a few manufacturers and a lot of brands.

I have a Tobeco clone and have not found a consistent build. No matter how much or little I wick, or how wide or narrow or how many wraps I make my coils I will get dry hits. Not constant but enough to give me frustration. Sometimes it will get bad enough I have to open juice fill with the deck lowered, allowing juice to flood into the coil. I have read tons of posts on this forum and watched multiple videos and nothing seems to make it stop completely. Right now I am running it with rayon and a big 3mm 1.6ohm coil, the wick is snug but not tight in the coil and cut so it just touches the deck. I am running this with 70% vg juice at 12watts.

I am getting frustrated and starting to think it might be atty. The ohms stay stable, which I know is an issue with some clones. I have checked all the juice holes to make sure they are clear. Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm using rayon too. I was getting dry hits on my very first build and that was because my tails were just above the juice holes. I re-wicked with the ends touching the deck but not blocking the holes and it was perfect. What you could do is move your wicks over just one hole (side). Air needs to go into the tank as well as juice coming out.

So what's with people wanting 316? Is anyone clone rusting?

I was thinking the same thing. For an atomizer, there is no difference between 304ss and 316ss.

I just got my SS Tobeco Kayfun 4 and Tobeco Sub Ohm Kit today and I really like it so far. At first, I had some doubts about the kit's center post since the top hole near the threads as well as the six side holes seem a bit smaller than the original center post's. By comparison, the top hole in the authentic 4S Kit is a lot bigger than the authentic Kayfun 4's center post. Anyways, I blew (for science!) into the Tobeco kit's center post while covering the bottom hole with my finger and, oddly enough, it has greater airflow than the original. The resulting vape is a lot more airy than my previous RTA, the Ehpro Kayfun Lite Plus v2, when it's opened up completely. I'd say it's about twice as much airflow and this makes lung inhales more comfortable than mouth-to-lung, which is very surprising. I haven't had any leaking issues, but I've gotten a few dry hits once my juice ran a bit low. Then again, I've been chain vaping quite a bit. Overall, this seems to be a fantastic clone and I thank you guys who have recommended it.

One way might be to go 70 PG/30 VG, just saying

I've been messing around with the v4 for days now. First problems with the resistance and now I can't even get the tank to come a part. The juice control won't even budge and I can't separate the evaporation chamber (#26) from the build deck. I've tried using the allen wrench to loosen the juice control, freezing the parts, used grippers and pliers, but nothing works. If I could just somehow get the glass chamber to work on the KFL+ deck then I'd be happy.

Any suggestions? Honestly I'm just really frustrated. I'd consider buying another if I didn't just drop over $300 on textbooks.

Edit: Sorry if the post came out as hostile or aggressive it's only because I haven't had my nicotine.

Tear it down completely as you can starting with #35 & #33 till you have just the parts in question remaining. Loosen 510 screw just in case that's helping to hold things up. Wrap a thin strip of duct tape around the part of #26 where the logo is about 3 - 4 times around, now you can hold it well with regular pliers and turn with Allen wrench. This is how I would go about it anyway.

Glass tank removal requires removal of #33 first.

When I was working on one of the clones which needed some work to get the JC to turn properly The chimney to the Evap chamber got overly tight, had a tough time getting it loose, make sure you grip it as low (close to the threaded portion as possible) when you try to get it loose, it seems to flex enough make it really difficult to get loose.

I'll also second dwcraig1's suggestion of the tape, though I use a few more wraps, and usually masking tape if I have it, little easier to get off. I've had a couple instances where I put nearly an inch of tape on an atomizer tank because china over tightened it, nothing else worked! Tape works quite nicely, not only protecting the surface but gives you a little more leverage.

One thing I just thought about that I want to add to this thread. With my 3.1 Kayfuns, I was getting a few dry hits when I first use them. I would have to do a few primer pulls to get juice flowing. After warming up slightly, no problems with juice flow. I use a 50/50 mix. Just realized that I have not experienced this with my V4's. Wick good right from the first draw on a cold tank.

Do you wet your wicks before assembly when re-wicking?
