Thanks again all. The water drop trick helped but didn't "cure" for the record.

I love all the great help and suggestions! I'll try another wick later tonight. And will order myself some rayon for a test as well.

I think in my rewick tonight (busy today), I'll try a loose cotton build that skims the deck. I'll also saturate the cotton before putting the chimney side piece on. Then maybe try the stuff method tomorrow if that doesn't work. The key will be less cotton and nice and fluffed.

Thanks again!

Does this mean that you weren't saturating your wick prior to assembly?

The wick needs to touch the juice deck. How much is up to you but it does need to touch.

Chill out. You keep posting like you have a chip on your shoulder and need to prove it to the world.

And yet reading comprehension eludes you.

Well if it isn't the king of the keyboard himself. I comprehend quite well but thanks for your feedback.

Out of the four different suppliers/models I own not a single wick touches the deck directly, I can slide a business card in between the cotton and the deck. It works for me with four different K4's. Again talking in absolutes. I was just stating what works for me.

And it's not a chip it's frustration because there are individuals that believe they have absolutes to resolve challenges and when someone else offers a differing opinion it rattles their cage.

You of all people should know how difficult it is to wick properly, I've seen your frustration just by reading you post posts. People have offered solutions, different opinions and some work, some don't. If you go back through mine you'll find that I never question anyone's methods. They offer solutions, something for others to try to solve their problems. I'm not pissing on tree's marking my territory, knocking others to make myself feel good or the all knowing and powerful Oz.

"Chill out"....right on dude

I'm about as chilled as one person can get but take exception to others questioning whether or not I am being truthful. More importantly from someone that doesn't even know me. I see it all the time here and don't say anything because I'm not involved, now I am so I'll say my piece whether you approve or not really doesn't matter.

I hate to see good ECF members attacked for there own opinions. But this is the internut, lots of opinions abound. I have yet to have some one in my vaping, tell me the right way to do something. I got into rebuildables, so i could fine tune what i like. If its a coil/wick/o-ring who knows? Only the end user will finaly figure it out. I wish i was with the "in" crowed, but i need a keyboard i guess... Kiwi, keep burping out loud!

Well I have been using 2 of the fasttech "A" versions for a while now. They have been working great for me so far, but they both came with glass sections that were totally unusable. Replaced both of those with a couple of sections from a 10 pack that fasttech sells and they work great. After reading this thread it seem like I hit the lottery on both of them not having any major issues besided the glass tank and one having a chewed up #16 oring from the factory that I replaced with a spare.

It seems kind of crazy how different these clones seem to preform with different wicking and juices. I use 70pg/30vg DIY juice and I have to totally stuff the wick area or I get leaking when the v4 is on its side. I leave my cotton tales long enough to touch the deck then come back up to the coil. With this setup I get no leaking and it almost wicks a little too much juice. Maybe its because I have the air flow closed down to just a little more than my EHPro KFL+ single holes? I think its all about finding a build that works well for you.

P.S. Is there a way to ignore post from people that seem to just come in here to argue?

    Justified point and well taken.

My apologies, I let my frustration get the best of me and took the post off topic when I should have used PM’s.

All good Dusty. Not my normal MO.

If anyone still can't get a build that works... I will be more than willing to check out your kayfun and make a build that does work for me. If it still does not work then its not the kayfun but rather your vaping style or your using juice that is too thick (there are ways to thin your juice).

Just like any other atty based on a persons juice and vaping style this may not work for everyone. Does not mean its a bad atty style just not right for you.

And yes I stand behind my statements... more is better and it does not matter if juice holes are blocked or not.

I'm with you bud I have multiple kayfuns lites as well as v4.Been my tops for a long time I also find more wicking to be better otherwise with not enough I tend to get a leaker:D

Correct. But only once actually. That was the way I did in my lite plus.

The other 10+ builds have been with the chimney on and stuffing lightly. (I cut before placing the chimney on though.)

For the record it has nothing to do with how hard I pull when vaping because I can primer pull til blue in the face and still won't bubble.

Sorry for delayed responses visiting someone in hospital (long day).

    Thanks for all the help!

So has anyone figured why these things seem to suck through juice like a Hemi though a gallon of gas??? I can blow through two tanks in no time. Not running any kind of crazy high build or high power either.

Nature of the beast? I usually go thru about 5ml/day with my KFL+'s but I've been going thru about 8ml/day (2 tanks) with my v4's. It does have more flavor and vapor than my KFL+'s though. Most of my builds are 1.5Ω but I have one that I made with a 7/64 bit that came out to 1.88Ω. I vape around 12w (10w with the 1.9Ω).

I don't think there's any thing to figure out, they have excellent wicking so they get low MPG :)
I use a single coil at 1.2 ohms 16 watts and it sucks up the juice I don't mind though better than dry hits :)
