Anyone had the problem of the resistance suddenly going all over the place? Had the problem with the generic FT version and fixed it with removing some of the finish. Out of nowhere both the FT version and my Tobeco started doing it. Checked it across several mods and found it consistently umm non consistent. This has me scratching my head big time. Thoughts or ideas?

Make sure the screw at the bottom of the 510 is nicely tight.

Got a v5 clone I got off of ebay in today. The afc ring had a small flat spot that caused the juice flow control not to work. The tank bottom and afc ring were grinding together.

Put a 316l clapton in it and temperature control noun working on my dna75. Works good in power mode but it keeps jumping out of tc and ohms jump up when I put it back in tc. In particular mode is 0.62. In tc it's 0.77. I checked the build and the positive pin.

The one I ordered from Legend Gadget finally made it in and out of NYC...and in and out of the USPS hub in Flushing. Tracking says Thursday delivery. Sunday to Thursday from Metro NYC to SC...snail mail at it's finest. I'm using it as a teachable moment for my chronic impatience.

So much so that I've got about 15 drip tips coming from China so I can stress over those.:shock:

Mine arrived today from LG, SXK K5s. The tracking showed up over the weekend stateside NYC. This morning it was at my USPS dist. center delivered this afternoon. Wasn't supposed to be here until Thursday. Kool. 7 wraps of 28 ga. kanthol @ 3mm, rayon wick, YUMMY, 60pg/40vg homebrew. So far so good. Only real complaint as they are cranked together dry at the factory, making it a bite in the ... to get it apart. The other thing to watch, are your coil tag ends. Keep them short and tight to the screws. I think the heat makes them squirrel tail around and short.:2c: Update on the tobeco, still good. Wife get's a bit confused with the juice valve operating in the opposite direction of the K4s. ;)

Clapton cannot do TC ...I dont know if its possible on a DNA mod, but usually thats why it jumps back to power mode.

Not sure if this helps but what i have noticed with TC and SS316L is that with coils built on RBA (Kayfun et al) i have to prime the coil first (dry burn/ strum out hot spots), let it settle/ room temp then set the resistance, if not it will jump back into power mode.

The other thing that i do if i cant do this method (rebuilt coil heads and such), is light TC pulses or short puffs for a few mins which essentially gets me the same result: that is, primed. Then i let it get back to room temp and set resistance.

I have 3 DNA 200's & 1 DNA 75; Temp control works with SS316L claptons without issue. I find that most of the time it's the atty... You can try stripping the wrap off the legs. That helps, sometimes. Other times, the atty is just not up to it.

I rebuilt one of my Tobecos with a 2.5mm ID, 28g 430ss coil. I had been using 3mm ID, 26g 316ss coils and it's been hit or miss with flavor. The 430ss is much better, although it could be the 2.5mm but I did try a 2.5mm with 316ss. Maybe the gauge was too thick? Dunno but this is working so well I rebuilt another Tobeco I had in rotation with the same build and it is also working much better.

The only time I had issues with juice flow was when I over-wicked. I also keep one hole on each side open (not covered by the wick) and it doesn't flood or get dry. You can also check the juice holes to make sure there's no metal shavings or other blockages.

Ohms fluctuating - Tighten the 510 screw. It needs to be tight.

i'm sure this is the correct thread to post in now. i read the thread title this time!

i got my sjmy kayfun v5 from 3f today. holy moley the construction on this thing is perfect. every thread, oring, logo engraving and insulator is just great. machining is crazy smooth. this is honestly the nicest tank i own. absolutely no machine oil what so ever. quick rinse under the tap with hot water. if my clone is this nice, i can imagine what the real one is like. flavor is on par with build quality, top notch
