i'm sure this is the correct thread to post in now. i read the thread title this time!

i got my sjmy kayfun v5 from 3f today. holy moley the construction on this thing is perfect. every thread, oring, logo engraving and insulator is just great. machining is crazy smooth. this is honestly the nicest tank i own. absolutely no machine oil what so ever. quick rinse under the tap with hot water. if my clone is this nice, i can imagine what the real one is like. flavor is on par with build quality, top notch

Got mine today too. Silver SJMY version, compares to my black Tobecco. Can't tell any noticeable difference between them, but have yet to use them.

I rebuilt one of my Tobecos with a 2.5mm ID, 28g 430ss coil. I had been using 3mm ID, 26g 316ss coils and it's been hit or miss with flavor. The 430ss is much better, although it could be the 2.5mm but I did try a 2.5mm with 316ss. Maybe the gauge was too thick? Dunno but this is working so well I rebuilt another Tobeco I had in rotation with the same build and it is also working much better.

The only time I had issues with juice flow was when I over-wicked. I also keep one hole on each side open (not covered by the wick) and it doesn't flood or get dry. You can also check the juice holes to make sure there's no metal shavings or other blockages.

Ohms fluctuating - Tighten the 510 screw. It needs to be tight.
How did you figure out to keep 2 holes open with no wick on each side? You're brave lol! I would think it would leak.

I should have looked closer at the picture, I bought a black and red one. The don't show it in the photos, but these use a single oring, like most 510 drip tips. They don't screw in the top like the white originals do! Not a big deal, since they do fit when pressed in and only cost $2. Just don't expect a screw in tip.
Sorry I didn't mention that.

I have 4 sjmy clones, 2 sxk clones, and 2 originals. It is very difficult to tell the sjmy from the authentic. It is near perfect. The sxk are also nice, but not quite as perfect as the sjmy.

Too cheap to get a few Tobecos? :)

is it just me or if you leave the afc in the 'up' position (as if you were going to adjust your air flow option) you get slightly more airflow than with it set in palce? seems like it to me. just a tiny bit more.

edit....never mind, i think it's just making the air flow louder tricking me into thinking that.

The wick covers only 1 of 2 holes on each side. Doesn't leak and wicks very well. I've been doing this since the KM3 and have had no issues at all.

HAHAHA :p I wanted to try a Tobeco too. I have some Tobeco v3 minis, great quality. Nobody was selling Tobeco v5s when I ordered these sjmy's

Eciggity gets it to you fast!

Not that it means much, but Tobeco even duplicated the 2 little boxes inside the larger one, like the original, outside is different of course. The SJMY box is one of the crappiest ones I've ever seen with El Cheapo foam too. But hey, it's cheap to buy!

It's what's inside that counts lol

If your clone is so nice, it means "the real one" should be exactly the same thing.

I was going through my o-ring collection and found that I had a bag of 5 x 1.5mm that is the same size for the inner top cap (#21). The Tobeco seems to have a 4 x 2mm and that's what causes the top cap to be a tight fit. I just replaced the 4 I have in rotation with the 5 x 1.5mm and it's much easier to screw the top cap on now.

I compared it to my buddies original and, it's bang on! hard to tell them apart :) now for my SXK nano to get here, it was sent on the slow boat yesterday...

Sorry, I mis-read your post. I was just looking at the deck of the KM3 and trying to figure out why it wasn't wicking well. As everyone knows, seeing bubbles come up the side of the tank is a good sign. Well, if your wicks are blocking the holes, it's very hard for air to enter the tank unless the wick is completely dry or the juice holes are HUGE. I thought having one hole not blocked by the wick might help since the holes are small enough that unless the juice is the consistency of water, it shouldn't flood. I vape one juice at 50/50 and thin it out with distilled water so it would wick better. Thicker juices were harder to deal with and I have a lot that are 80/20. I've had excellent results wicking with one hole on each side clear of the wick even with the 80/20 juice not watered down.

Now that I have all my KF5's rebuilt with 430ss and getting tons of flavor, the KF5 is my favorite atomizer. Before, I was favoring the KM3 because it had better flavor and I couldn't get the KF5 to give me the same vape. Now it's just as good, maybe better and I have a bigger tank.

My SXK wicks just as well as my Tobecos and AngelCigs versions. Are you sure the juice holes aren't blocked with metal shavings?

My Tobeco black version would not wick no matter what I tried...finally got out the magnifier and it turned out there were zero juice channels on one side and very shallow ones on the other. Eciggity sent another deck and BOOM...wicks like a dream with 80vg.

After all the troubles I had read about I check every juice hole with a small drill bit before I build. So far there have been no problems all wick like a dream. I took one apart that I was having trouble with leaking when on it's side and I think the whole problem is my coil was too low. So I went ahead and dry burned it and stretched it up and rewicked it. So far no problems. I sure like SS for TC so easy to clean.

Back a dozen pages or so, I posted link to a kit with every color and a black base and a stainless base. My LG KF5 arrived today (12 days from order date), and the tips interchange nicely.
