I finally received my sxk kayfun 5 from focal Saturday and built in Sunday night. Took it completely apart, I can confirm the insulator at the 510 screw and on the inside air shaft are white delrin (plastic) and not the beige (peak? Peek?) like under the positive block. I have not checked the other insulator's in the tobeco (yet).
Also it does have the SXK etched inside the afc under the oring for the glass.
I personally feel the afc has a tiny bit of wobble on the sxk model, where the tobeco does not have that wobble. From the short time I've used both, I think the afc on the tobeco feels a little better. The metal ring itself, not the draw...
Also the sxk air shaft is at least 3mm, as my 3mm screwdriver easily fits inside the hole, so I'm assuming it's 3.2mm? But I don't have a calipers or anything specifically 3.2mm, but again the 3mm screwdriver fits with just the teeny tiniest bit of play.
Overall it's a solid piece of machined steel, no visible flaws or rough edges. Seems to vape the same as the tobeco version with the same (tight imo) draw at the 4 pips position.
For those who have not been in the vaping scene for years, I doubt any of the 3 we've been talking about (tobeco, sxk, sjmy) are bad choices. These clones seem to be top notch (all 3) with little variance between them. (I know I've had some bad clones in the past of other attys, these all seem excellent)
I bring this up to make 1 simple point, I don't think anyone can really go wrong buying any of these, providing you buy from a good vendor, if in the event of getting a dud (like the poster who said theirs was missing juice holes) and will stand behind the product and exchange it or otherwise make it right.
Vape Em if you got Em.
