(In case this has not been stated...)

The Authentic MTL In$ert$ fit perfectly in the Tobeco. (I rebuilt today and fitted one on there.)

Next time I rebuild my FT SXK I'll report on that. I am currently using a roll of mesh to reduce the center pin airflow on that one. Works well.
Curious, is there much difference between the mtl adapter and the rolled mesh reducer in terms of performance? Can you tell a difference?

I'm guessing for people wanting a tighter mtl experience, the mesh roll would be just as good? Again I'm just guessing.

What size mesh are you using, Turtle? I have 500 and 400 somewhere. How do you cut it? To what size? And do you just slide it into the airport opening? A picture would be very helpful... :)

I feel the reducer would make the draw too tight for me--I like the looser draw of the KMV3 and K4--the Lites are way too restricted for me.

Can you tell me if your Tobeco had a lot of machine oil on it?
My Tobeco K5 was as clean as could be, I cleaned it any way though.
Same here.

The $$$MTL Kit$$$ is more convenient. I don't think It works any better, imo. If you are into tiny precision-made little itty bitty pieces that cost a lot and saves you ten minutes, it's cool.

Size doesn't matter. It's all in the motion, Katayaya. If you want pictures, that's getting kinda personal for ECF. We should probably take it to email. Of course, it would have to be a trade.

Roll it up and stick it in there. Cut it long enough to roll it on a 1.5 or a 1.8 coil mandrel and fit snugly in the top of the center pin. Leave a quarter or a half of a mm above the top of the hole for something to grab to get it out when you want to.

I highly doubt that you would want a reducer at all. Your highly recommended KF4 is too loose of a draw for me. I just didn't blitch at you after you FORCED me to get a K4 to be nice to you. You will like the K5 hugely, I suspect. I'm still a KFL guy. The K5 is way more convenient, but hasn't supplanted my KFLs.

I have a feeling the bottom of the CLR coil (Ego one mega tank) should be 3 mm in dia and should work as a reducer. I can just saw the top part and use it. I am waiting on my SJMY clone and will check.
It might get a little too warm that close to the coil for a rubber/plastic piece. If it's silicone it might be ok. Still, metal might be better. I'll bet you could even use a piece of aluminum foil. I donno.

I used a piece of teflon tubing (made for high temp conditions) on another atty, but the tubing I have is 4mm o.d. (2mm i.d.) and didn't fit. I didn't bother trying to sand it down to size because I had SS mesh sitting here.

there's an indian guy on youtube (Geekay Vapes) who compares the original against the sxk and he shows that a 3mm mandel wouldn't fit insidethe sxk air hole. but sxk could have fixed that. @Phone Guy says his 3mm bit does fit inside, so who knows.

my "FT" SXK is atleast 3mm. a 3mm mandrel fits in with room to play...

Can't get direct read with digital calipers but can confirm as larger than 3mm and smaller than 3.5. This video is clearly erroneous.

Either that or he got a dud... :) I was hoping that all SXKs would be like that, but no such luck...

I'm sure that there is a piece of hardware somewhere that would fit, the problem is finding one. :D

But creative vapers are looking:

Fixing Kayfun 5 airy draw my way..

I've been curious to try one of these since they're so popular, but have a little difficulty deciding which one.

I've narrowed it down to these 3:

-SXK Mini V3
-SXK V5
-no name (FT) Lite Plus V3

I like the looks of the last one best, but the other 2 seem to have a better reputation with the Mini V3 seeming the most popular from what I gather (it was recommended to me twice already).

Could anyone briefly point out the differences between these 3 please? Because I'm completely clue-less.

My preference is a restricted DL draw if that helps.

Pulled the trigger on 2 SS and 1 Black. All tobeco clones. Should be in my possession by Friday. Now to find out where to get spare parts.

If you have 3 coming, you really don't need spares unless you're talking about glass or major parts.

The v5 is probably your best bet if you like restricted DL hits.
