Curious if Dragonfruit or Cola can get me off my regular banana-custard-cream mix. Probably not, lol

I can't vape anything else but Vanilla custard, been mixing French vanilla and Vanilla custard together for six months now.I never even think of trying anything else, lol.

Sometimes when I vape a lot I can't taste much flavoring in my to-go-to juice anymore and on those occasions I long for a change in flavor, but so far everything I've tried has been some sort of disappointment. I think it's been about 6 months that I've been vaping my banana mix daily as well.

I use about 8% of banana split, 1,2% of vanilla custard and about a half % of bavarian cream, all from Capella. I try to stay below a total of 10% flavoring because I sometimes over-react to it, although I haven't had that problem with Capella flavorings yet since I switched to this brand. In all honesty my recipe could use a little more banana though, or maybe just more steeping. The other flavors taste good right away but for some reason the banana-split needs at least a couple of days before I can even notice it.

It does compliment the custard nicely though. Give it a try some time if you feel adventurous ;)

I only use capella's and mix around 4%-5% max flavoring. If i go higher i get no flavor after awhile.Normally 2% cap fv 2% vc both v2.

Alright, I figured that if I have time to post on the forum I have to to put a build on the SXK mini and just fixed my laziness.

The dragonfruit is nice but the mini gives a much hotter vape compared to the full-size versions, I don't think this one will be for me (I'm stupid sensitive to heat in my mouth and throat). It is also spitting like crazy so I guess that explains why it comes with a screen in the driptip, unlike the full size versions.

Interestingly enough I could easily get 4ml in there, 4,5 even if you fill it to the brim.

I use all my K5 clones with the steel tanks so I can't see the JFC on any of them, but it appears this one needs less turns to get the same amount of juice flowing unless I completely messed up the wicking, or there is something going wrong with one of the o-rings of course.....

...hmmm, thinking about that some more that might just be the case because it is starting to gurgle now as well, I feel it'll start leaking soon if I leave the JFC open.

I guess I'm gonna have to open it up and see what is going on in there, I'll report back when I get to it.

Nice!

What's that large one on the left?

Oh dear, my SXK mini is leaking horribly even with the JFC closed tight.

Can someone more knowledgeable than me tell me which o-rings I need to have a closer look at perhaps?

What's that large one on the left?

It is a Pioneer 4 you Seven 22.I bought four of them for under $10 each.Great solid steel heavyweight mod. They need 26650 batteries though.

Thanks!

Do a visual of #10 & 11 to see that they are higher than the groove that they sit in, use a straight edge and a magnifying glass as necessary.
You should be able to feel the drag of the other o-rings as you screw the parts together, don't feel it then maybe too small. (change id not cs).
Make sure #6 is tight enough.

I'm a little ashamed to admit it, but I still haven't put a build on the SXK mini yet. I've been so busy lately and then I was immobilized by a bad back last week, I just didn't get around to it. Normally I'm always so eager to try out a new tank as soon as it arrives but I guess the other K5 clones have made the need for that less urgent.

I hope to get around to it this week though. I've had a couple of new flavors mixed and ready to go for weeks now and I want to use the mini to try them out.

Curious if Dragonfruit or Cola can get me off my regular banana-custard-cream mix. Probably not, lol
Hope your back is feeling better :) don't feel bad, I haven't built my SJMY one yet either ;) I'm usually quick to build on a new tank too but busy & plenty of new toys. I'm using my black Tobeco KF5 though:thumb:

Well its been a very long time, probably a year since a tank has made it through (let alone to) day 2 with me. Also a long time since ive gotten a tank, washed it, built it and vaped it with no drama.

The SJMY KF5 looks like it is staying

The Lan Dow Nunda
Just been catching up with this thread and have read some discussion about the JFC on the KF5

I've only had mine for about a week and love it to bits. Best flavour I've ever had from my home made mild tobacco 50/50 juice.

I've always closed the JFC as per instructions for filling and so far no leaks etc.

But after reading the discussion here I just tried to fill my tank quickly without closing the JFC and had an instant flood of juice out the bottom. It was literally a river down the sides of my Provari, so I can personally see I really do need to close the JFC every fill with my particular setup/wicking.

BUT, my wicks are only cut just long enough to reach the bottom of the wick channels, so no excess cotton at all to maybe help control the overflow caused by leaving the JFC open while filling.

I don't have this problem with my other two tanks. My Kanger toptank mini has either quite restrictive prebuilt coils, or the mini RBA which has tiny flow holes that seem to prevent the instant flooding.

And my disappointing kabuki is filled upside down so no chance of flooding anyway...especially considering the tiny juice holes in the necessary aspire coil holes barely let enough juice through to avoid burnt hits. (Terrible tank for my vaping style no matter how hyped and revered it is. New coil needed every time I fill the tank :nah: ...although the original coil the kabuki came with lasted over a week...)

Anyway my guess is if you stuff your KF5 juice channels with a lot of cotton you may be able to fill it without closing the JFC.

I can't simply due to my minimal cotton wicking usage. No biggy though. It only takes seconds to close, and reopen the JFC a cuppla turns :)

10 and 11 seem fine, diving in to check on number 6 in a little bit

Thanks. I'm still not all there but I was able to bend over again for the first time today so there's still progress

To be honest I'm less and less pleased with my black tobeco clone. I was using it exclusively for a while and had gotten used to it's short comings but after a day back on the SJMY I know what I have been missing again.

I hate to put a silver tank on my pretty black VT200, but I think I'm going to order another SJMY for it and retire the tobeco...

Glad your back feels a little better :) what's not so good with your black Tobeco? Since I haven't built my SJMY yet I don't have a comparison.

It keeps having trouble keeping up with thew wicking for some reason, maybe the juice channels are a bit tighter than on the SJMY, idk.

I've already thinned out my max VG juice with 10% distilled water so that can't be it neither.

Sometimes it works fine for a while but the wick runs dry on a regular bases with no apparent cause. Because of this I've wicked it much looser than my SJMY, and because of that (I suspect) it'll start weeping through the air-inlets when I lay it on it's side or even just hold it slightly tilted when walking around with the mod in my hand.

I just never know beforehand what kind of vape it'll give me where the SJMY is always nice and wet and flavorful. Always.

The threads are also still gritty when turning the JFC, but I could live with that as long as it'd function better.

Next time I'll clean it I'll see if I can run something through the juice channels, perhaps something is obstructing one of them or both. That really is the only explanation I can come up with

Thanks! I haven't experienced the same prob as you. Perhaps when you clean it & check you will find the source. Mine was a bit gritty when turning the JFC but has smoothed out now. Love your emoticon

Out of interest how many turns on the jfc do you do on the Tobeco? really weird but one of mine is fine at 2 turns another needs 3 and a quarter turns. The same 50/50 juice in them both.

for you guys that have the SXK version I would suggest this chimney and glass replacement. since I replaced these parts on my SXK it wicks just as good as my SJMY. the reason you need the glass aswell is, the SXK chimney isn't machined to spec! smaller over all diameter and juice channels...

$3.50 Replacement Chimney for Kayfun V5 RTA Atomizers - 316 stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

$2.19 Replacement Glass Tank for Kayfun V5 RTA Atomizers (3 Pieces) 3-pack - ships one of each color at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Hopefully, I do love how it looks on a black mod. We'll see.

Haha, I always bring my own emoticons to forums I visit. Feel free to use it if you want to :)

I've tried everything from 1,25 turn to 3,75 turns, it doesn't seem to make a difference. Also, if it does wick properly I can't even touch the JFC again or it'll just choke up again somehow.

I also took apart the SXK mini today. I couldn't find anything wrong with it so I cleaned everything, made sure the o-rings were all properly seated, lightly lubricated them with e-juice and re-wicked it perfectly.

It just started gurgling again

Not sure what's going on in there but I don't think I'll be messing with it again wasting more juice on it, since it is too hot for me to use anyways.

Okay...58 pages is a lot to read, but I did, looking for whomever is best. I didn't get clarity on that one.

I guess I need a KV5 guru who knows what clone is top end. AND, where I can find it.

I would be very grateful. Seeing as the Deemings are about here, I will be looking to buy a bunch, spare parts, too.

Anyway, if anyone has really got a lot of experience with the clones, I would be grateful for the help.

Thanks

Well I am very happy with my Tobecos. My authentic was leaking a little more out the bottom and since I really didn't know which Oring to change I changed all 3 8, 10,11 put it back together and all is well again. I am going to have to do that on a couple of my Tobecos also. It seems that if the juice control turns too easy you probably need to change those Oring. When I ordered I ordered 20 of the 10X1's since the head has 2 of them and 10 is the hardest to get off I broke mine but no biggie I was going to replace it any way. Even with lubing the Orings well it still turns a little harder but seems to be holding the juice. I actually prefer the Tobeco over the authentic because it is easier to see the logo when you are opening the JF.
