I am so excited about vaping that I told/showed a few of my smoker friends about it and they are just like "those things don't work. I tried Blu's and wasted a ton of money and they suck." Bums me out because they don't understand!! All I really care about is that I got my husband off analogs. We're saving money, smell better, and are on the road to being healthier!

I also think the idea that you gradually go down in strengths is completely absurd. If you want to cull your addiction to nicotine, you stop putting it into your body.

well, no offense meant,,,,,,,,,,but that's YOUR opinion.

I went down gradually over the course of a year, and I no longer vape nicotine. All my juices are 0mg nic. Of course you can just "stop" putting nic into your body,,,,but for me, it was much, much easier to go down gradually.

I quit 7 years ago using the patches and lozenges. I stayed off of them for all of those 7 years. I got into vaping because I have always enjoyed the ACT. Just like pipe and cigar smoking. I inhale some, but not all the time.

I was also intrigued by the flavors that are out there. Even when I smoked I was looking for tobacco that had some kind of flavor other then menthol. I just couldn't find it at the time.

I now VAPE 0 nic. because I want to. I know I can walk away from it if I had to. I won't get the nicotine cravings I did when I tried to quit all those times, so I'm good with it.

As far as I'm concerned I live in a free country (at least that's what they keep telling me) and I'm over 18. So I'll do what I want. You want to tell me different? You have that right. But then I have the right to then tell you where to go, how to get there, and to have a nice day doing it.

I live by one rule...."So it hurt no one, do what ye will".....THAT'S true freedom!

Using these devices attracts a lot of attention, but what I hear most from people is this "Ohhh I know loads of people who gave up using them"

I wonder if there aren't many who use these products as a direct alternative to cigarettes. I met a few who use them around work and they have this exact plan "I'm going down gradually, all the way to 0."

I haven't yet considered the possibility of quitting, that is, to stop feeding my body with nicotine. I use these products because they appear to hurt me a lot less than cigarettes, and to me, they are equally as satisfying.

I went down in strength over the course of 2 years and am now vape free...many others have done the same. I realized when I was down to 6 mg nicotine I really wasn't that dependent on the nic but more so on the hand to mouth action.
Vaping is a very personal program and whether or not someone wishes to quit vaping or continue it doesn't bother me in the least and I would support their decision regardless. All that's important to me is to see people quit smoking....really doesn't matter how they do it or what path they choose afterwards.

I stopped with nicotine (well, I rarely still vape some but that's just for tasting new juices that don't come without nicotine) by getting some good devices that still gave me an excellent hit. That said, I have no plans of quitting vaping!

I think the addition to cigarettes and nicotine is mostly psychological, so if you're considering to quit smoking, you have to look for a *gesture* that gives you the same satisfaction (or get it cured by hypnosis :D ). Vaping is an excellent alternative in my opinion. Other people might have failed to quit smoking by vaping because they couldn't find a good combination of devices/juices/attys that satisfied them the same way.
Keep on researching, it's fun too! You'll very likely to find it way more satisfying than smoking.

That was my plan eventually, I purchased 24 18 6 and 0 and I go back and forth all the time... I was planning to come off nicotine all together, but after a couple months when, much like you, I realised that these hurt me a whole lot less then cigs... I no longer have plans of quitting, I love this thing... just as much of a hobby as it is a tool for kicking a nasty habit. And besides, if you quit, how could you possibly show others the joy of not being addicted to tobacco?! I love talking about them and showing people new things, convinced many of my friends to join me! :)
