I meant in general I think we see eye to eye on the belief that Cloning is detrimental to the industry. Midnite you and I agree on a lot as well. I would also add that my prayers go out to you and your wife.
not sure how making generalized bullet points of things some said makes me elitist but ok....
then to say go make your own cause its cheaper has been repeated and answered time and again proving they haven't read hardly any of the thread.

Not a requirement for elitism to be occurring. An opinion spoken could be demonstrably an expression of elitism.

Is the "butthurt ......" a statement of fact? In some cases, you are noting commonly accepted facts, in other cases you are expressing your opinion which comes off a bit elitist. As if your expressed values are superior to those of the authentic makers.
I have conceded that elitist type rhetoric is coming from both sides. But the pro-clone one is claiming it came from pro-authentic side first, when I believe your OP is ripe with elitist assertions and implications and an energy that reads quite clearly as aggravated and bent out of shape over the idea that authentic makers are daring to fight back.
I think it might be interesting to review the thread in its entirety to see which side is engaged in lashing out more at the other side. But pretty sure we won't go there, and so of course, biases being what they are, it will be concluded that 'our side isn't doing it as much as you guys have. Neener neener.'

to me elitism sounds more like the people not wanting clones of there limited runs so they can belong to an "elite" group of few.
Having an opinion that expresses some sense of superiority or implies inferiority is elitism. Those "butthurt ......" authentic makers who you hope lose everything in their fight against cloners implies that the pro-clone position is superior. The rant, as I read it, is that it is pointless to fight, that the wise choice is to get China to manufacture for cheaper, and that if you do dare fight it, you should lose everything.
It is not a textbook or obvious example of 'elitism' just as some vague implication of saying clone buyers are plausibly thieves isn't a great example of elitism at work.
I am not sure where you are getting this feeling from but for the most part I have not found this to be the case anywhere online. Those of us opposed to the clones are so inclined because of all the reasons posted in this thread not because we feel some sort of desire to belong to an exclusive group

and i like how you left out bits, i said how mod makers are already doing this cause like the old saying goes, cant beat'em join'em. with companies already doing it and selling cheap all they are going to do IN MY OPINION is waste the money they made when they could be making new cheaper products and moving more of them in this vastly growing market.
and the reason i pointed out the company's like nike ext is because im sure they can afford lawyers miles beyond what they mod makers can so again i ask, what makes them think they are going to win? why can you only avoid this question or divert by calling me elitist? or is asking this question to elitist?
