Okay, you guys have me interested but, I have a question or two. I'm mostly about flavor. Vapor is nice but, flavor is more what I'm insterested in. It sounds like this thing has it. Unlike a lot of vapers, I'm not into heat. So, how hot does it draw? I'm thinking about getting a bottom feeding one to put on a VV Woodvil. LR or SR? Is 70/30 juice really not going to work well? At these prices, it would have to last a very long time. I don't think anyone knows on that.

I just tried one earlier today. I was going to get the bottom feeding one. But after trying it I changed my mind. I think it is mostly hype. The flavors seemed more muted to me and air flow is strange. I use an extra long dt so the heat doesn't bother me on the ciscos. I was expecting it to have tons of flavor but I did not experience that. Maybe when the next version or two will be out. I like the principle of them. But I guess they are not for me.

I run the SR on my VV Woodvil (around 5V) with both VG and PG/VG. Only had it a few days now but have about 6 weeks on the non bottom feeder versions. Love these atty's, now have 4. It really is about the flavor. Every time I clean one and have to run something else, I am reminded of this.

How are you cleaning them, and do they come back good as new? Might be worth it if they would last me six weeks. I can't seem to get more than two weeks of GOOD life from anything I've tried. Also, have heard conflicting reports about vapor production, some say clouds and others say its rather thin (I'm referring to a video review I saw).

minimal shipping at Thermo is $7.50 priority mail.... boo. But Innovapor only has the lipped ones.. boo boo.
I got some lipped ones from kokomopurevapors for less shipping, but no unlipped USA standard 510.... boo.
Thanks. I notice these are about $10 cheaper than the other vendor. Are they otherwise the same?
I am going to clean my first AVA... vodka soak is all i do since i got the expensive 357's so i'm thinking that will do with the AVA..... yes?

I'm reading mixed reviews a lot, and some say the vapor is thin, and cool, flavor high. Some say different.
I say the flavor is great, vapor is often thin... but when it's just right the vapor is pretty good.
There's like a delay on the heating action, so i press the button for a second before I draw. I need two or three tokes to get good vapor, and the vapor does get warm. It's weird; like not a lot of vapor, but lots of nic high. I'm a chain vaper so yeah it does get hot.

Flavor, Vapor and TH are great IMHO. Concerning vapor: using all VG it is a steam train. The early one's had some issues but I think they pretty much solved the it. It is an atomizer that needs a dripshield. The draw for me is not too stiff, I have my shields with 4 air holes, that helps for sure. The BF version I will get and see how they will perform, but if they give out the flavor etc like the other one's I am sold as far as atomizer usage goes. Cleaning: ultrasonic once a week, boiling water, dry them with a hairdryer and good to go. Longevity: don't know, but the one I have been using for a few weeks is still running 100%

I ordered a couple more (so i do like them) from kokomopurevapors to save a few dimes on shipping... i don't think they are the USA ones without the lip, unfortunately, but wth, I'm not going to pay $7.50 for shipping for 2 atomizers if i can help it. He just restocked, so i'm sure they are fresh...
*these either have differences from one to the next, or we vapers are a hell of a subjective lot; with all the varying reports, or both.

Ukeman,

I think there is inconsistency in the batches. I had a few and only one is working perfect, the others are not, but again they are from early batches. I got the one's without the lip and they are perfect. I only use the LR and SR, The HV did not work at all for me, took too long to heat up and they had an "after burn" which was weird. Anyways, good to hear you like them. I think they will last a long time if taken care of properly, so for now I am ok and as I am moving away from atomizers these will be for trying out new flavors as the flavor on these is perfect and as good a a good performing genny....

I've cleaned with Vodka and ultrasonic, both work. Interesting tidbit, 2 of the 4 I have were way better after the cleaning. A friend of mine cleans his as soon as he gets them for this reason. Not sure why this happens, but I may also try this in the future ... Can't hurt, right ?
Interesting. So they hold up in the sonic?

I just noticed the OP title is specifically USA AVA's ... I'm slow on the minutia... but yes, so i get it that this is the Thermovape site which carries both AVA types, which as far as I can tell, are the same atomizer except for the lip/no lip, and the different colored d/t.

Just a reflection on the fact that Thermovape sells the Ultra APV but highlights them as being like aroma therapy devices... weird. I'm sure a few folks use them for aroma therapy but their major business must be 9:1 ecig vaping.
It's hard to believe that ALL the parts are made in USA these days, but maybe they do; not saying they don't...
But i definitely think only a vaper would pay what we are paying for something like the AVA... we go to any lengths. Just saying.

There is also a difference in if they are sealed and not. Sealed are better for non bottom feeding mods and have the lip. Unsealed you can use with bottom feeding mods.
