An update to Emonty's original thread (AFS V2 and cartomizers perfected) which grew quite lengthy. I realize this post is repetitive, but maybe it can spare someone a lot of reading or trial and error.
Thanks to Emonty for the original thread and also to JBTX1 for all his help. To me, this is literally vaping perfection...

Thanks to Emonty for the original thread and also to JBTX1 for all his help. To me, this is literally vaping perfection...
Supplies
- One Vapornine Nebula Turbo KR808 cartomizer
- 2010 GGTS with AVS (or old GGTS with new AVS attachment)
- 1/32 hole punch sharpened to a fine point on a grinder or with a file
- Small hammer
- 6v setup (for me it's 2xLiFePO4 Tenergy RCR123A 3.0v 750 mAh)
- Remove V9 cartomizer label. This will leave a gummy residue. Remove with Goo Gone and then remove residue with Everclear. Leave the plastic cap on until finished to prevent contamination of filler. No need to boil, dry, or blow out the cartomizer. Note: Ben at Vapornine told me today he plans to offer these without labels as an option in the near future.
- Use the hole punch with hammer to create a small hole about 1/4 inch over bottom of cartomizer threads. This isn't rocket science-- see picture. Note: It's a good idea to check with a volt meter and check the threads were not deformed.
- Assemble the V9 cartomizer in the AVS (after removing white plastic cap) and fill the AVS tank with a good HV liquid of your choice.
- As an optional step (use at your own risk) you can insert a drip tip into the cartomizer and prime it by sucking gently until the carto is saturated. The level in the AVS tank will decrease by about half as the juice fills the V9.
- Refill the remaining half of tank for a TON of liquid on tap.
- Add AVS mouthpiece, adjust control ring, and vape away!
