Well, I can't defend those prices, but few people really know the costs associated with running a B&M (even when they say they do). I'm trying to open my own B&M and everybody - and I mean, E.V.E.R.Y.B.O.D.Y. - has their hand out wanting a piece of your pie. It's crazy.

I still wouldn't buy a $99 VV 3.0 because that's crazy ...but still ...people seriously need to reconsider their "acceptable" limits. Looking online and then expecting to pay only 10% more in a B&M is ridiculous.

Prices are high but I try to support when I can. Not a lot of B&M's near me so I'd hate to see them fail before vaping even takes off in this area.

I'm with you on this. Got a new store in north part of Colo. Spgs that I've visited a couple times and luckily they don't gouge you. They are very cool people, very helpful and knowledgeable and I will continue to visit and purchase from them and send new business their way.

A friend of mine runs a shop here local. And there are a few within 25 or so miles..

A b&m is not cheap to run.. And the other shops local you can tell are only in it for the money..

They know absolutely nothing about vaping.. Those are the owners who are in my eyes the scurrilous ones..

And how many onlines who have inexpensive products just do straight up drop shipping...

If u find a good b&m and the owner knows his stuff. Keep him in business. Don't buy everything, but it is very hard
To find quality vape owners in some places. They are like needles in a haystack.

overhead i understand. if I buy something online for $35, I can imagine the wholesale cost might be fairly close to that, but still lower... say for instance $30-$32. And that's probably a generous estimate. If you mark that up to $50-$55 in a B&M I think that would be a fair price... but $99 is around 300% markup!

I spent about 10 bucks more for my itaste getting it at the local shop than I could have online, but I wanted to support the guys who gave me some good advice and let me get hands on with a bunch of gear.

I doubt I will buy juice from them often, as I can't find one I like there. I may not even buy parts/accessories there every time, but I love the fact that a store run by guys that love to vape is just a couple of miles away. They really seem to be focused on getting vapers hooked up with the right gear, not just the most expensive. So I will try to support them the best I can, and send anyone I talk to about vaping to them for gear and info. Just wish I liked their juice more.

There's only one local shop that I feel comfortable buying equipment at - most label FT clones as the real thing (and price it that way, too). Juice is another story. Picked up a bottle of Standard for $22 yesterday (same as what I've seen online), and there's a shop that sells decent locally-made juices for 50 cents/ml.

I felt a little guilty at first not going back to my local store here, ( Eliquidplanet )
But after spending $600.00 there and not be offered to try some juices for free.
I decided not to go back.

After all, the prices I paid for 8 ego , 900mah , batteries & 12 nova tanks + wicks...
This wasn't supporting a local shop, it was more like being robed.

Very very very happy since finding Vapor Break #3 / ecigonlineshop #2 / And my # 1 is FastTech

Save your money , and

VAPE ON

When I went to my first b&m I had one of the most memorable and informative experiences of my life. I sat down with the owner and sampled just about every liquid and pv he had. I spent 4 hours and over $200 that day and learned alot. That was the only "local" spot we had and I had to drive 30 miles each way. Now we have tobacco shops selling stuff from fast tech and ali-babba for 10x what they got them for, and I end up selling products to their customers because they have no clue. I can't support that kind of business but I will drive the 60 miles to go see my buddy Steve every time. To me it all boils down to the experience, not so much the cost.

I'm lucky that I have a couple shops within a couple miles - both are primarily "smoke shops", but one has decent juices at $4.99 for 15 mls, and egos at $20 each.. The other has $100 kits, and Fastech's $4.25 juices for $24.99.. lol.. Lucky for me, I picked the cheap shop first, or I'd still be on analogs..

With that I would have to agree, we do have to do our part to keep the locals going. Heck after all if it weren't for the local b&m I might not be vaping...
But there is one though who just out right gouges. I only go
to him if I'm extremely desperate.
