Bad Blank Cartomizers Alert

I'm not sure why he would say VG is the culprit. ALL of my juice has some VG in it, and I use only blank cartomizers. However, I will say that I've ordered blanks from a lot of different vendors, and CigEasy is the only vendor I have had consistent good results with. Almost every time I order from other vendors, some of the blanks I get have that chemical taste, or the slots are so shallow that there is little to no airflow, or are just functioning poorly right off the bat.

I don't know why that would be the case anyhow as I've now heard that almost all juice has some VG in it. But he claims that's the problem. All I know is they don't perform as well as the ones I got from him in blister packs. These ones are certainly made on the cheap. The wadding isn't packed in there nice and solid like the other ones and the rubber flange/washer thingy doesn't fit inside very well and has the tiniest hole in it so the airflow is crap. The other thing is, if he knew that these cartos don't perform well with VG, why not say so before hand? I'm just guessing here, but I would assume a good 1/3 of vapers use VG or at least some VG in their juice. Maybe more.

I'm going to order some blanks from LeCig and see how they do. You've got me intrigued.

How's the draw on their D1 auto battery? I'm finding KR808 autos to be far too airy compared to 510/306 autos, and I have to pull like crazy to activate the battery.

The draw on Lecigs kr8 (d1) is what I would consider "normal" so for some people that might mean an easy draw. Im an asthmatic and need an easy draw. My e9 has a slightly easier draw than kr8 imo. Have you ever tried GreenCig cartos? They have a hard draw and dont burn. You might like those on your high volt if they will screw on properly. I have some not used and would be happy to drop you one in the mail, I simply dont have enough strength in my lungs to get them to draw properly.

Has anyone cleaned their cartos with coke yet? I keep hearing people around the forums saying they are using coke to clean their atomizers. I would love a cheaper solution to using pga.

Wouldn't the idea behind using coke be that the acid will dissolve build-up? (I can't imagine the sugar helps anything, though. Maybe diet coke?) If that's the case, I imagine a citric acid solution in water could do the same. I can't think of any safety concerns around citric acid; it's a fairly harmless food additive. I've got powdered citric acid around the house (for preserving frozen fruit), I'll try that next time I need to do a soak 'n rinse. It'd certainly be cheaper than PGA.

Synth -- keep us posted. :)

Hey everyone update its bine a few days now since and ive bine airing out a cartomizer by removeing it from the blister pack and removing the condoms if the ends and i must say the chemical smell to it has reduced from 100% of a nasty chemical smell to it to about a 40% nasty chemical smell to it, so iam hoping that another few more days will totallytake the smell away i will post an update agin, \

I also picked it up and put it in my mouth not hooked up to a battery and did a couple of dry puffd to see how it tasted like and also it has drop to about 50% of a chemical taste strenth...hopefully this too will go away after a few more days i will keep everyone updated and let you all know how i made out......

but the last problem that i think that will not be able to be resolved is the performence of the carto

I got some new cartos from litecig and they're great. They're just like the last ones I had in terms of construction and are vaping my 20% VG and even 35% VG just fine. So I'm just gonna go ahead and say those last cartos were the problem, and not my juice.

Also, I noticed that since my complaint to CigEasy, he has since put a disclaimer stating that his DIY cartos are 'for experienced users'. And if you're new to vaping that he suggests you get the pre-filled. I'm not sure what that really means.

Thanks for the info; I do not like hearing this since I use cartomizers almost exclusively.
Does anybody know about Healthcabin’s cartomizers (this is where I generally purchase mine)?

I assume they would have the same problem.

I just got a shipment for Healthcabin and I haven't used them yet but they are in blister packs so I am hoping they are good.

I jsut got in my order of blanks with the easy to remove mouthpiece from lecig today. There is definitely not any chemical taste or smell nor is there a burnt taste. In fact, these are nearly identical to GreenCig cartz and have excellent vapor production. They are very quiet with no crackly or airy sound.

They have a harder draw very much like greencig but work great on my lecig, nhaler, and regular sized v4l batteries. However, they did not work at all on my v4l xl battery. Im not sure if i have a new or old style v4l model so Im going to order another one today.

Overall, i think these cartz are outstanding and think they are right up there with the quality of greencig but even better because they are easy to fill with the easy to remove cap.
