Was vaping with some fellows in a local vape lounge and one of them said they felt insecure when vaping in public since people looked at him when people past by. The look that they gave him was demeaning and degrading...."worst than to those smoking cigarettes. He took his vape to a more recluse area.
My response, " be respectful but be proud...Hey, you don't smoke cigarettes and living a healthier lifestyle".

i have met people that truly despise vaping.
i suspect this has to do with some jerk blowing a huge cloud in their face.
not all vapers are nice.

This is true, some people don't have basic ettiquette. And while people may walk past several people vaping out and about discreetly, they're probably only going to notice the guy at the bus shelter filling it up with clouds as if it's his living room

I've had a couple people do that to me too. I do Sub-Ohm but I'm not a cloud chaser...mostly a flavor chaser hehe

The one I remember the most was ridiculous, I was probably 25 Feet away from me, I doubt she even smelled the vapor, she was walking towards me, she just saw me blowing "smoke" and looked at me and coughed while waving her hand over her face as if it smelled horrible (it was a Tropical/Berry/Fruity Vape) and turned the other way...

But she was the same kind of self-Entitled old People...Don't get me wrong, I'm very respectful of my elders...when they respect me.
For example what that old woman did was disrespectful, so she would of gotten a shot in the face if she kept coming my way with a little "that's what you get for making those gestures at you". Or, you wait for the freaking bus for probably 30 minutes and there's a lot of people behind you, and the old lady just goes ahead in front of me without even acknowledging my presence...in those cases I usually turn to them (yes, because this happens frequently! If the old Lady comes in front and asks me if she can go before me, I'll be happy to do so with a smile...same thing for people needing a seat on the bus/metro when they are Injured/Pregnant/Elderly/Handicapped...) and just say straight up and pretty strict "Mam, I'll be happy to let you in first, but it seems like the respectful thing to do would be to at least ask before just inserting yourself in front of me and all those people behind me" or something along those lines.
But yeah, these types of things happen too much!

Another time, I'm first in line waiting for the Van-Bus (short circuit with rarely anyone so they use Taxis Vans) and the line is more than full, there's 5 places and 7 people.

So I open the front door and I'm about to get in, and the Taxi driver Yells at me like I'm an inconsiderate jerk because there's an "Old Lady" (she was like 50-60 at most, she should of been insulted...) behind me which I NEVER saw, because of this ordeal, people have already taken the nice spots I should have got if the old lady told me or the taxi driver didn't make her out to be so old and mostly didn't Yell at me!

So I end up in the back between 1 guy who smells like puke (no kidding) and another guy that's kinda big, so I'm all squished...

I f*cking wait in the cold for 20mins (and I'm hypersensitive to Temperatures) to get a good seat since I have Social Anxiety and I end up in the Back stuck between 2 bozos, instead of in the front or in the middle next to the door without having to move when someone in the back gets out...

Not only that but the whole ride I felt like everyone thought I was an Inconsiderate Jerk...even though I didn't do anything wrong and knew the Taxi Driver was out of line....... Anxiety!

Just don't give a dang about them. We were all in their shoes once... Such a bold claim? Okay, well at least I am. I used to watch vapers vape beside me back in the day when I still smoked. I looked at them and asked myself, 'where can I buy those?'. Many looked as well, and a few more occasions and the question became 'which of those will I buy?'... Don't be judgemental how people look at you. You can only interpret their looks with your own understanding and mindset but never really know what they are thinking.

One can look at a homeless guy, someone disabled or a street preacher and can you tell what they are thinking? They maybe thinking "what a pity!" or rather "How can I help these people?". Again, it all depends on your mindset that moment you tried to interpret their looks.

Just do what you know is right for yah and what you think will save you.
