3. Do you DIY your own juice?

Not at the present time. I tried some real simple flavors and did ok. Once I wanted more complex flavors with several flavor additives needed it just didn't work. I'm a grab it and go kind of guy. I also like my juice to be consistent. The ADV of Smarties I get from a local B&M fits that requirement. depending on what the FDA does I might venture back into it. Right now I'm happy with the juices I buy.

My item to have on your site is still the Dovpo...surprise, surprise... the mini 50

Uncle.... there is a recipe for a clone juice that both me and the kid enjoy... needs big steep tho... basically Absinthe, Horehound, and a little citrus. I don't like black licorice or sambuca but really like absinthe for some reason. This juice not only tastes great but if you have lingering odors in your tank... will get rid of that too. Major tank cracker tho.

Lady Bear... 'Go To Juices" I am amazed at how much my juice preferences have changed in a year. It took a few months to get over the monthly juice fad and the seasonal juices. Still no real go to flavor. I seem to prefer milder flavors like Iced Tea, some of the so called tobacco flavors like Tidewater that is a mild 7 Up flavor, etc It just seemed for me that the strong flavored juices were the ones I tired of real fast. About the only juice I vape now that I vaped when I started is Shamrock Shake. I bought it then but make it myself now.

I like the ipv2x because I think it would vape well and strong. Right now I am not yet into mech mods as I am vaping only a couple months and would like to upgrade my equip.

Thank you for the contest.

My favorite tank right now that I have is an aspire nautilus.....but I sure would like to try a whole lot of different tanks

You will have more and better equipment before you know it. :)

You are getting into vaping at a really good time. In the last year or so, there have been so many really nice regulated devices that have come out, and many of them are less expensive than the not so good kits that were available last year.

When I first started vaping, some of the cigalike kits were in the $80+ range, and they didn't work very well. I went through a bunch of those over the years. Last year, I found an ego knock off kit for around $60. Even though the 650 Mah batteries and disposable clearomizers were crap, they showed me that vaping could work. A week or so later, I had graduated to a Spinner and Protank 3. By the next month, I had an MVP 2.0 and three Protanks, and I was really on my way to finding something that would work for me!

ECF helped so much, because as soon as I found it, I could ask questions and get answers. I also found out that there were juices that actually tasted good. Before that, I only had cheap, mass produced juice that were awful.

Enjoy your journey into finding what really works for you. It just gets better and better!

What is your preferred juice pg/vg ratio

high pg high vg makes my chest feel heavy. Loved whoever said it was like eating day old McD's fries. lol I'll add, cold long john silver's fish!

I'm glad that someone else mentioned the high VG making their chest tight. I think we are in the minority though!

By the way, if you get tired of answering the same old questions every day, once you do the first question about the store link or something you wish was in there, (that's the only one that has to be done every day), you can comment on other people's posts, and it will still count toward the win :)

I know kanthal is the preferred wire for most but...
Has anyone tried or do you use royal wire?

I'm not really sure what Royal wire is, I guess I need to look it up!

I've never tried anything except Kanthal. I see a lot of people are using nickel, and I think they have to weld Kanthal on to it or something to make a combination of NR and R wire coils or something. It sounds kind of complicated, so I haven't even considered it yet. I think it has to be done to use the temperature feature on the DNA 40 chips. (I might not have that quite right, but like I said, I'm not ready for that stuff yet)!

Been reading up on this tank, and here both..."it's too tight a draw" and "it's too airy, can't MtoL"....
I like that it is a single coil build, and adjustable air flow....but the Subtank is soooo inviting...

Why is it I can see ending up with both?.......

I've never heard of it, but you really don't have to torch kanthal either if you're wicking after coiling. Unless you need to torch it to get the springiness out. Just pulse a few times, and that "torches" it. Which is something you do anyhow to make sure the coil is glowing well, no hot legs.

I've never torched my kanthal either, I just do the pulse thing to check the glow too.

The most interesting, or rather, most important, is one more day without a cig. Today is One full month for me.

I just realized that in about 5 hours I'll have been a full 6 months without a smoke. Took 5 months of regular vaping before that to wean off the over PAD.

Wahoooooooooo to both of you!!!

yes we're definitely in the minority. Thanks for letting me know that. I'd seen a few do that, but wasn't sure. Really glad y'all allow chit chat that doesn't count, always makes it more fun!

2/20 #1 I thought about picking the Kryptonite, just because I thought it was cool looking, then I told myself...baby steps Greg, baby steps

Kanger Subtank

Yeah, the Subtank is a great device if you're new to vaping, because it works great with the stock coils, but has the option for rebuilding.

Once you're more comfortable with rebuilding and battery safety and ohms law and stuff, then you can get a Kryptonite for the "cool factor"! :D

I don't know much about the nickel, but some folks on one of the threads I go to has been using it. He doesn't have to weld it, but most things I've seen about it, folks are twisting it. I am not sure, but I think it's very flimsy and breaks easy.

I do love my plastic vv gripper. It's made really crappy, but that thing is just a lil powerhouse. Broke my first one.....so got a second one. It's been in ICU a couple times, but we pulled it through.

I have a couple, one held together with a rubber band, 510 connector replaced a couple times...it just works, and so simple to control. The other one's chip failed, ripped it out and converted it into a semi-mech mod.

DIY not yet, I'm still playing with combinations of 2 different juices. Last night my vape neighbor brought me over 9 empty glass bottles (2 30ml ,7 15ml) "just in case" I go to DIY.

That's how it starts...

You find your combinations are better tasting than what you buy....next thing you know you're full time DIY.

Congrats on one month, that's a big milestone. It's probably bigger than one year, because going without a cig in the first few weeks is more difficult than it is later. Once you've been without a cig for a year, your mind already knows you won't ever need one again!

BY the way, the only question that has to be answered every day is the store link or what you wish was in there. After that, you can just talk about vaping or comment on someone else's post to count. That way you don't have to answer the same questions every day for a week! :)
