I just realized that in about 5 hours I'll have been a full 6 months without a smoke. Took 5 months of regular vaping before that to wean off the over PAD.

Congrats on six months! After trying to quit for so many years using the "approved" methods, it's hard to believe that it's so easy with vaping, isn't it?

Congrats to Mac on your six months and to everyone else with a milestone as well. I know that my starter kit got to me in late summer of 2013, but I had a some growing pains over the next few months and think by September of that year I had officially stopped...not sure of an exact date.

Been reading up on this tank, and here both..."it's too tight a draw" and "it's too airy, can't MtoL"....
I like that it is a single coil build, and adjustable air flow....but the Subtank is soooo inviting...

Why is it I can see ending up with both?.......

Because if you don't get both, you will be depriving yourself of some great vaping experiences! :D

That is vaping to stop smoking in a nutshell for me. When I talk to long time smokers that have tried everything else to quit and failed, I tell them that I vaping makes it easy. It is really like magic. Fun, tasty magic.

4. What is your funniest or most interesting vape related story

When hanging out in the "Smokers Area" (NJ doesn't allow ANY indoor vaping) I have struck up conversations with the smokers from time to time. Show them my setup, tell 'em how much cheaper it is ($7.50 a pack in NJ) and how I no longer cough up a lung in the AM. The normal stuff....

I've found it is much more effective if I start my spiel by telling them....
"You can buy small, more normal looking e-cigs, they don't all look like mine".....:2cool:

Wahoooooooooo to both of you!!!

yes we're definitely in the minority. Thanks for letting me know that. I'd seen a few do that, but wasn't sure. Really glad y'all allow chit chat that doesn't count, always makes it more fun!

Yeah, when Powerband and I were talking about the contest, we decided we really want it to be friendly, and for everyone to get to know each other and him.

This one sort of reminds me of another one I participate in, but that one only allows one post per day, so it keeps you from chatting as much as you might like. I always wish that the other one was more chatty. :)

We put the suggested questions in to give a starting point for conversations. The mandatory first question is to get people familiar with his site and his products, as well as to let him know what people want to see in his store. There are so many products available, that without feedback, it's hard to know what to carry. :)

I don't know much about the nickel, but some folks on one of the threads I go to has been using it. He doesn't have to weld it, but most things I've seen about it, folks are twisting it. I am not sure, but I think it's very flimsy and breaks easy.

Thanks for letting me know he doesn't have to weld it. I think there are two different kinds of nickel, or maybe one is something called Nichrome or something, which might be an alloy of nickel and chromium??? I think I need to research this so I know what I am talking about!!!!

What scares the dickens out of me is the FDA and the State and local governments cracking down on vaping. After 4 1/2 years without smoking, it would be just far too easy for me to fall back into smoking.

It is funny how important it is to smokers to have something that looks just like a cig. I remember that it what I wanted. Used to tell potential vapers that they would likely have tube and box mods before too long because the vaping experience was so much better, but I stopped doing that. Think it is just not what they want to hear.

I like the looks and would like a 26650

Chi Megean

1409617180047974066820.jpeg

That's a gorgeous mod, and it works beautifully! It has a nice adapter that goes on top so it looks great with either the larger toppers or the regular size.

I usually use my Big Fogger on mine, but here's a photo with the smaller Fogger 4 and the adapter to make it look good.

The adapter is the gold slope shaped thing between the mod and the Fogger in my photo. When you want to use a bigger topper, you just take that off and screw on the flat gold top that is on the one in the picture you posted.

You have some nice stuff! I love the looks of both mods with their respective toppers. That is one big tank on the left!! ...and that adapter on the Chi makes it work nicely - love that! This is where my collecting gets out of hand. Things I don't need but love the looks of. It is really like art to me!

Yes, everyone should be a member of CASAA. I joined the same day as I found ECF!

Without vaping, I know I would be smoking again, because I am still addicted to both nicotine, and the act of smoking/vaping.

I can go longer without vaping than I could without smoking, but if I go too long without vaping, I still get all jittery and feel like I am going to jump right out of my skin.

I also felt I needed something that looked like a cigarette when I first started. I spent my day running from charger to charger trying to keep batteries charged and dealing with the cartridges.

Some still want that and that is fine but I got to where I would tell them that you don't inhale with an e cig the way you do a real one so the device can look like whatever you want.

You don't even have to like the looks of the device as long as it does the job. I was a little hesitant with the looks of the E Mech but it just fits so well for me that I got over it and started thinking it rather cute after a day or so.

CASAA member here too.

I love that!!! The feeling of getting someone started is always great, but once in a while you can tell just how much it means to someone and it is kind of overwhelming to me. My favorite "recipient" is a lady that didn't seem thrilled at the beginning, but now vaping is all she talks about and she is the biggest advocate out there. She is on a mission to convert everyone!

Way to go with all of your awesome pif'n :)

Most interesting for me......I PIF'd most of my winnings last year...started kits mostly and a large ziplock bag full of juice.... One of the recipients was so overjoyed with them that she almost cried...It was a great feeling for me to see that I could help someone else who really needed it....She isn't able to do much online so I plan to PIF her some more of my winnings this year also.....

My first entry of the day means I get to shop. I want this today!

Dark Horse RDA

1413927198172-230712610.jpeg

Good morning everybody!

Good morning Iota. :)

The Dark Horse is really nice, and its easy to build. When I first started vaping, I started with a Nimbus. I wish RBAs like the Dark Horse had been more readily available then, because it's just as easy to build on, and it has air flow control. RBAs with airflow control are so much better than those without, and the Dark Horse is one of the nicest RDAs available!

Or maybe the Nichrome is resistance wire, and the nickel is non resistance, and that's the one that has to have Kanthal welded to it?

I only drip when I am home and sitting still, otherwise it is too much of a production for me to handle on the go. Still, I want to experience the best flavor I can so I want to get some better drippers and this one has such great reviews. Glad to hear all the hype is true with the Dark Horse. The easy build and good airflow control are key and this one has it. I drip on my caterpillar and really enjoy the flavor, but I know the new drippers are so much better.
