just chit chat .....

just a question for all entered in the contest do you experience other vendors, ecf or elsewhere that interact with customers, fellow vapers or customers to the degree that I would like to think that I do? just curious

This is my first experience with you and your company, but I have to say I'm very impressed!! I too love to deal with people that I feel I know a bit, I think many of us do and that is so rare these days, especially outside of vaping. I realize that some vendors are just so huge, and very busy, but seems like they could stop in once in awhile. Some don't participate at all. You are right up there with the best at that from I can tell. I hope your business flourishes, cuz we need a lot more vendors like you!! I know of at least one that unless he's in the shop, you call and he's the one that answers the phone! I get the feeling you'd be like that too. (not puttin ya on da spot though) lol

Don't really know why, but I perfer the batteries that I can change out than waiting for the day the lipo dies. Like with the 808s and egos batteries, I had lots of luck with most of them but some seem to die faster than others and their life is limited no matter what. Yes batteries have to be replaced but the unit does not, unless a chip or something goes bad. Why I have my mods along with everything else.... mmm 4 track, 8 track, reel to reel, Phonograph and LP records as well.... I hear the phonograph is making a come back due to better sound quality. snickers. Old school is the best school....

I also prefer to replace my batts. Keep em freshly charged, just pop a new one in, charge the old one. Usually 300-500 charging cycles and then done, I'd rather replace a 10.00 or less batt than a mod. I know a lot of folks are ready to move on to the newest thing before that time, but my finances don't allow that. I'd love to Pif more, but usually don't quit usin sumpthin and get something new til it's dead or broke! lol

I would agree with all the people who have placed you at or near the top of the list for interaction. It's always good to learn about the person (or people) behind the products you are purchasing, I think. It also helps in the sale: when I consider an item for purchase, the vendors I check first are those with whom I've dealt with in the past. I think to myself, "I wonder if so-and-so has it on their site," and check those sites first. Price is important, yes, but I'm willing to spend a little more if I know that the person (assuming there is a person--with some of these sites, you'd never know) selling it to me will stand behind what they're selling and would be willing to work through any problem, should one arise.

All of that said, I know I have not purchased from you in the past, Bruce, but now that I've gotten to know you (both through this and the last contest, as well as on the chat thread), it's only a matter of time before I find enough loose change in the seat cushions for me to go shopping again... :)

Agree with every word of this!! couldn't have said it better!

..well that's my story and it wasn't pretty...lol

those were a huge rip off years ago....so sorry you got caught up in that. so have you been off cigs for those 4 years?? If so that's fantastic!!

I'm sittin' in that Tree on the right side of the porch all you 55+ people are rockin' . .

ya need to say howdy now and then! We're gettin younger everyday! lol I was the baby when I first started goin in there a few years ago at 48, but there are some younger than that. We've never checked ID's. But......the purple recliner is mine! lol so everyone knows, we're just a social group, not affiliated with any vendor.

Now for a question......earlier today I was the recipient of some overwhelming, over the top generosity on ECF, and I'm so grateful. Since I don't have a lot of opportunity to PIF...... should I win here......I would like to pass it on. Would it be better for me to just chat a bit but not enter, to give others a better opportunity to win.......or would it be better to play and then PIF the win to someone else if I should be so fortunate and have you redraw?? Whichever is easiest or better for you is fine with me! I really appreciate your caring and knowledge Bruce!!! And Kathi, you're a doll and so helpful!

4. What is your funniest or most interesting vape related story

My most interesting story about vaping is the fact that I have not had a cigarette since June 19, 2013. I was a diehard , and going to die, 2 pack a day smoker. There was nothing you could say or show me to make me give them up. I woke up one morning breathing hard. The wife asked if I was ok. I told her I would be as soon as that dang elephant got off my chest. That afternoon I went and got a ego twist, evod tank, and some juice. That night I smoked the last cigarette in the seond pack of the day. I put away my zippo lighter. I tossed most of the ash trays and washed and put the others away. I have not had a cigarette since. I have made it through my friend and boss's retirement party with 70-80 drunks. I have played several golf scambles, countless days fishing, and a night on Bourbon Street without every having a cigar or cigarette. If this ole dog can learn a new trick (VAPING) then anyone can.

I've noticed that some companies are now including the spare glass for the new tanks coming out. A definite plus in my book. Wish they had been doing that for the PTs. I bought some spares for those in various colors. Wonder how long before the colored glass comes out for the new tanks. I wouldn't mind having a blue or smoke glass for my Atlantis.

"1. What is your preferred device and atty/tank and why"

I do like my original iStick 20 watt. I got one of the first ones, had it since Sept 25th. Yea, I get phanthom hits. I learned to deal with the "means" volts. But it fits my hand nice and it lasts me all day!!! (I can't wait to get an iStick 50 w with the big mAh capacity)

My topper is harder to pick one. Just got a Kayfun Lite and really enjoying the vape after Bronze helped me out. Smooth, great flavor and big tank.

:)

Yeah, the KFL is great, and Bronze and the others on the KFL thread are really helpful with any questions you have!

Since I 1st tried dripping a few months ago I've been slowly accumulating RDAs.
This would be a nice addition to the collection.

Dark Horse RDA

It's funny that so many people mention wanting the Dark Horse, because originally that was going to be the prize in this one. We changed our minds at the last minute, because we thought the iStick would be appealing to more people.

I think maybe Bruce will need to do another contest!!! :D

(ok, post 1 was a few minutes before midnight...sigh)

About my preferred pg/vg. Answer? I don't know.

I started with and still enjoy Halo eliquids. There is no ratio choice, and their blend is not revealed, although we think it's around 70/30 pg/vg.

I've tried some 100% vg, but the flavors were odd, and I'm not blaming the vg. I've had 50/50. And 30/70.

Unless I had the same flavor at different ratios, I really have no way of finding out what is best. I think it so much depends on the tank, wick, how much wattage is run, vaping technique. It's all inter-related. And I have a real dogs breakfast in my collection of tanks.

Bottom line: If I like the juice, then whatever ratio that was used is right.

:)

I just went thru over 200 posts here getting caught up since I was last in here last night and now can't remember what most of them were.

Seeing that some of you don't torch the kanthal is good to know. I had read and had people tell me that it was needed. Now that I have the coil master and can get better coils with it I give it a try without the pre torching.

When I was thinking about starting rebuilding, I had someone insisting that I needed mesh and a torch, or I wouldn't be able to rebuild. I'm glad I didn't listen to him, or I would never have tried it!

I don't even pinch my coils together any more. They work just fine with small spaces, and I think it probably gives more vapor, since a little of the wick is exposed between the coils.

I just wanted to give a little tip about the Subtank, for anyone who gets one.

One of the great things about it, is that when you want to refill, you just unscrew the whole bottom, (no tools needed), and pour your juice in like you do with the Protanks. It's so easy, and you can even pour directly from those almost empty glass bottles to get every drop.

The chimney assembly is what holds the tank together, so once you take the bottom off, the only things holding your tank together are the o rings.

When refilling, be sure to hold it by the metal part, not just the glass, because it can slip off, leaving you holding only the glass part of the tank, with a lapful of juice! Don't ask me how I know this!

Yes, Bruce is the one who answers the phone. Whenever you have a question about your order, you can call him, and he will help. His contact info is right there on the site. I've called him a few times! :)

I would like to possibly try a...

Kayfun Lite V2+ .Kayfun Lite
1401894507830-1590964710.jpeg

I followed the Kayfuns when they came out...reports were, great flavor BUT leaking (and never leaks), tough to build (easy to build), impossible to wick the same each time (simple to wick)...and a new version or style kept coming out.

Figured I'd just avoid them till the dust settled, guess there's no time like the present....
