What is Riva kgo

Riva, Kgo, ego, they are all a type of battery that are similar in their threadding. The kgo is 3.7 volt where an ego is 3.4 volt. If I could start all over again I would have gotten the kgo rather than my ego but unlike you I didn't find this forum until after I had bought my starterkit, then the upgrade kit. I usually research everything, then it turns outthee one thing I should have researched I didn't. Live and learn lol

Riva and Kgo are essentially the same, just two different brands.
As to the nic, with cigs you're getting it via the smoke to your lungs. With vaping you take the vapor into your mouth and hold it there briefly before inhaling, exhaling through nose and mouth, the nic is absorbed via the inside of your mouth and nose. You won't feel the impact as soon as you do with cigs

Depending on how you smoke an analog, you'll get about 1mg of nicotine per analog. The mg rating on eliquid, is the mgs of nicotine per ml of juice. I can vape up to 6mls a day (72 mg of nicotine), which is like three packs of smokes compared to my one pack. But it'll balance out eventually. I think I like the flavors more than the nic at this point :)

What does the voltage affects? The taste or amount of vapour ?

Both actually. Many people feel that voltages higher than the standard 3.7 eGo batteries produce more vapor and bring out the flavor better. There is no magic voltage setting however. The type & resistance of cartomisers/atomiser you use will affect which voltage setting is going to be best. Also because taste is subjective two people can use an identical setup but find they prefer the taste on completely different voltage settings.

Voltage affects both, it's actually wattage. Wattage is electrical power, which is converted from electricity into heat by your atomizer or cartomizer. What I mean by wattage is that a 2 ohm atty on a 3.4 Volt ego will put out less power than a 1.5 ohm atty on the same 3.4 volt.

More power => Battery drains quicker

Power mainly brings out taste and vapor, but each juice has it's power sweet spot. Any higher, and the juice will taste burnt and vapor will be low, scratching your throat. Any lower, and the vapor will get cooler and smaller. Everyone has a different wattage that they prefer, and that's what make VV devices so cool. No matter what atomizer, you can tweak it to your liking on a VV.

This might not be the best starting point for a new person to vaping, as there is a higher risk of burning atties/cartos out if they're not wet enough, but if you want to venture into it like I did at two weeks, might be worth it :)

Here is a video that talks about where to get started.

I recomend either the smokeless image starter kit if you want a cig look a like, or the x2 or kgo if you don't mind something larger.

Smokeless image is having a 21% off sale for July 4, code is independence. You can get 2 650mah x2 batteries and a pack of cartos for under $40. Or 1 900mah and cartos for under $30. A decent starter kit in their mini will run you under $40.

With either option , you can get a free battery, bottle of juice or pack of cartos by posting a picture of yourself using the product on their forum.

Thats not really true anymore. Joyetech has upgrade / T2 versions of the regular sized eGo batts and the 18650 mod that operate both at the regular 3.3v and in an unregulated mode. Unregulated mode is directly related to the current charge on the battery.

The biggest improvement of eGo-T 2 upgrade battery: it has two modes to switch. One is the constant voltage output mode which gives constant 3.3V(when it's driving the atomizer (load added)) and is the same as the normal eGo-T. The other is variable voltage output mode, in this mode, the voltage will change from 4.15V to 3.6V as the lithium battery power decrease. With higher voltage up to 4.15V, this give you a better vapor feeling.

These might help with some of your questions. If there is an e-cig shop near you got take a look at what they have. This will give you a better perspective instead of online pictures. Welcome to ECF!

I suggest that you DO NOT buy from Kiosks in malls. I did a quick search for Tacoma and found this... Google will help find a store near you.

First decisions:

Do I need something that looks like a cig, if you can handle something a bit bigger, go with 1100 mah kgo or the epower.
E-Power from hoosierecigsupply.com by Smok Tech - YouTube This is very similar to the kgo/riva/ego except that in ego/kgo/riva, if anything goes out, you replace the whole thing at around 18.00 per batt. With the epower, you replace a battery only or a switch only (I'm pretty sure they sell switch heads seperately but check on that) the batts are much cheaper than replacing a kgo unit. If I had it to do over again, I would have gotten this over the riva.

I smoked marlboro 100's full flavor 1-1.5 packs a day.

I am personally thinking of ordering my favorite juice in both 12mg/6mg levels. I want to try and use the 6mg all day and see if it works for me... if not I have the 12mg to fall back on... and I am doing it with a juice that I know I like and can vape all day. Maybe try something like that to find your nic strength.

I was a pack and half a day smoker of marlboro smooth and went straight to 6mg. I vape all day though, about 6ml a day.

Once in a while I use 11mg for the extra throat hit. Normally when I drink a lot since I lose my taste then

Thanks to the OP for asking and the rest of you for answering. I too am brand new, looking to get off cigs. I'm looking for an option that provides a decent load of vapor.

I only smoke about three cigs from waking until 5-6pm (office job) but tend to smoke a bunch more at night (but will have access to a charger). So battery life isn't as important to me but I smoke a cig quick as I tend to draw long and hard. I'm not sold on the flavour idea but it sounds from others that getting a true cigarette tasting juice is hard.

Any ideas? I was looking at a joye-ego-t (for $89.99 CAD) that includes:
Included in the kit:
- 2 – 650 mAh rechargeable batteries
- 2 – eGO-T atomizers
- 1- 120 volt wall charger
- 1- usb charger
- 5 pack of eGO-T cartridges (dry)

Any and all help welcome and appreciated!
