I can't find any PG but I did find Glycerine and somewhere alse I heard someone say they used it?

I soaked 2 Camel Snus for about an hou in 20 ml glycerine and squeezed them ou I added a little water to thin it out.

Will this work?
or is Glycerine the right thing to use?
Vegetable glycerine (or VG) is a common alternative to propylene glycol, but it can give some folks (like me) a little bit of a rumbly tummy. I also hear it tends to add a sweet taste to your vapour. Try it out, if you feel okay and like the taste, then full steam ahead!

Having tries various Snus soaking times, I'd recommend longer soak times, but I was using PG. VG might work a bit differently. With PG, I soaked three Snus in 2oz for 24-30 hours, and got great flavour. With a two hour soak time, all I could taste was the PG which made it like sucking on a smoke machine.

I have done the same thing with Swedish Snus (not the same as that Camel stuff...), and the flavor was great! the nicotine content, as far as I can tell, is not as high as i would like. But due to the dark color of the liquid, i've been hesitant to use it, for fear of damaging my atomizers.

You can speed up the process by placing the liquid in a shot glass, and heating that in a pan with half an inch of water, over low heat.

I just used the same technique with some english snuff, and it seems to give a great buzz. But I have been drinking for several hours now, and maybe cant tell the difference.

I used 1 gram of snuff with approx 10ml of VG (I know... I Know... seems like a lot, but I plan to reduce it, and better safe than sorry)

Hi ImYourSalt,

Please report back on this when you test it while sober, because it sounds like you might be on to something here...

Thanks!

Ok I am new here..plaease forgive my ignorance.
Doesnt the snus have all the chemicals we are trying to get away from in the analog? or is it pure tobacco without chemicals?? Is snus like chewing tobacco or different because in a bag?
I really really want more of a smoke tobacco flavring.. I am having a hard time finding this. I am willing to try if its gonna work but I dont want to if all the bad stuff is in it.
Also is the reason many of these vapors sweet because of glycerin? Is there anything else aside from Glycerin like pg to make with? does pg have sweetener in it? Sorry soo many questions!

I've only read the first two pages, so forgive me if I'm below the curve...

Just so happens I.ve a home grown crop of Burley Tobbacco that's almost ready to harvest, it needs to be cured and look for me around Christmas for an update on a PURE tobacco flavor experiment...

That is very cool. I was reading somewhere that more and more people are starting to grow their own tobacco because of the astronomical cig prices. There are even some co-op farms where people pay for a small patch of land for do-it-yourself tobacco growing.

ok forget the snus, get back to the caffeine experiments!!

I have to go out of town but glad to find this post about the tabacco, but like the coffee idea. I have been making cold brewed coffee concentrate (for drinking!) off and on for a few years. Lots of recipes can be found via web search. It's very smooth, strong caffeine, simple and no fuss. So I am anxious to try it with my vapes. I won't have time to experiment with it until after I return though. Will be anxious to see if some of you play with that and come up with some cool vaping liquid. If it works, I may experiment brewing it directly into my Ecopure.

How about giving this a try.
Make your eliquid, and add ground to a fine powder coffee and powdered creamer. Filter then smoke. Does it taste like coffee with milk?
Let me know, because every coffee flavor out there tastes like coffe bean, and I drink coffee with milk.

For more of a creamer taste I've found that just two drops of LorAnns Marshmellow in 5mg of coffee flavored liquid gives it a bit of creamer taste. Maybe more CoffeeMate than Cremora. Anymore than two drops starts to make it taste more like a cinnamon topper.
Strange....

I like the cappuccino flavors, or also add cream or milk flavor to the coffee flavor. Just a tiny bit of Lorann's coffee goes a long way. Flavourart.com has a milk flavor, and many places have the cream flavor. Haven't tried the raw flavorings yet, but did add pre-mixed cream to my own coffee flavor and really fixed it up.

Sorry to be OT.

This thread is giving me ideas now...maybe some of the snus I have that I'm not crazy about using could actually be interesting when vaped! Specifically, the "goat rape" stuff. Might just have to give this a try!

lol, I've been looking for "Gote Rape" flavoring for a week.
It WAS one of my favorite snus flavors.
I wonder how frozen for 5 years snus will work....

Y'all could MEASURE the nic content instead of just speculating!
It's fun.

thx all for an excellent thread.

Ok after reading this Thread completely, I have to say that once I find some PG around here (Seems to be very a very mysterious creature in the south) I am going to definitely try this. I probably get about 2 -3 coupons for Buy one get one free or get one free tin of Snus from Camel.

I would also like to mention what no one else has seemed to mention. Snus contains Salt. This is why it never completely freezes. This is the only reason why I would think that Vaping Snus would be a bad idea as the Salt particulates would accumulate within the atomizer (And in your lungs, icky).

Has anyone taken a closer look at the atty after vaping snus juice to see if this actually does occur or not?

Proper write up by the way. I wish I could give you some sort of props for it.

For the PG, I live in Dothan AL and they have it by the Gal in the horse and cattle section. It is what I use when I look locally.

Away..
They will send it to any of thier stores for free if you call your local store and order it.
There is no option on the website for it to be delivered locally.
Shipping can be high. Let them foot the bill.
Just a phone call was all I needed to do and explained it to them.
The local store will tell you to go online and do the "transfer".
Well, you can't since no option is there for that particular item.
Mine took a week to arrive and they called me to let me know it was "in".

From what I'm seeing alot of these extraction methods have alot of merit to them.
I used to make alot of cordials using a process called Russian infusion... and had alot of success making a few coffee cordials using that process...so I'll share that here.. In a tall glass beaker fill about 16th of it with vodka or gin or whatever (for our purposes maybe jut distilled water) and suspend whatever you want to flavor it with in a bag (empty tea bag) or netting about a 1/4 of the way down in the beaker and then place a plate or something to cover the top and hold the net or bag in place and place in the window in the sun...as the water evaporates it moves through whatever is suspended and picks up the flavor hits the plate at top condenses and drips back down..longer it sits the more flavor it picks up..
I've done this with course ground coffee beans, chocolates, lemons, oranges, peppers..so I imagine it would also work with tobbacco products like snus (though I dont know how much of the nic it would pick up)..

but if you can flavor liquors like that it would stand to reason you could flavor distilled water like that and then use that to cut into your PG or VG or whatever...
I imagine to since using just water you could probably speed this process along by doing this in a covered pan and bringing the water to a slow boil and then letting it simmer for a while and letting it sit until all the steam settles and drips back into the water before uncovering..

After calling CVS, Dominicks, Walgreens, and Jewel I was told that the first three did not sell vegetable glycerine, each call was transferred several times and Jewel finally just picked up the phone that had been ringing on hold, and hung up the call while I waited. So, I went in but wasn't exactly sure where to look, I checked a couple aisles of baking goods and when I didn't see it I asked the guy who was stocking the shelves if he could tell me whether they sold it, his answer was a simple no - from that I gather that he couldn't tell me. So I go to the fruit market where I always see all kinds of different ethnic ingredients and found this
Dr. Oetker :: Rum Flavoring
Canadian I assume.
I also got vanilla. I soaked one of these 0.52 oz into a snus and let it sit for about half an hour, in the meantime puffing the liquid without any snus. It was delicious. But almost no vapor, disconcerting throat hit, and leaked through the opening like a less dense form of water. You may have guessed that I got the same results after the snus but with a little more tobacco flavor which was not too bad, especially considering I bought the frost flavored Snus before my quest for the glycerine, and upon going to the gas station after capturing my my pg mixture the attendant had only one Snus which she gave me for free as it had not been chilled and was her last one in... you guessed it FROST. :?: However, I do think that I have found a flavor that I would love with the proper vg formula in the future.
My atomizer is looking a little more colorful and I gotta dig that dark brown fiber out of my cart now but I do hope the flavor hangs around a little while.

Instant Esspresso powder would probably work

what i done was took 3 reg cigarettes
took out the the tobaco
added boiling water
made like a tea simmered for 10 min
sieved out the tobacco leaves
boiled and reduced the water to about 10 ml
of a very concentrated juice flavouring
added a couple of drops of this to 10ml vg
now have perfect tobaco flavoured ejuice with a very low nic count
just perfect flavouring
