So..
I have tried re-wicking this morning with cotton. Thing is, it's hard to know how much is enough or not without actually seeing others. I think it is right, after looking at the video. I am still getting some dry hits, and gurgling ones.
Here is a dumb question, well maybe a couple...
The posts on this atty do not have ordinary phillips or even slotted ends. What am I supposed to use to unscrew them?
Next, on the RM2..and this is really going to sound blonde. But I cannot find where the cap comes off. There appears to be no break in it, if that makes sense. Can someone show me a pic or video?

You can use a small pair of pliers. on the post screws if they are too tight for your fingers.

First always keep the air hole lined up with the coil. Not that you have that in mine lets get rid of the gurgling.

Be sure that the air hole is on top when you tilt it back to take a hit. Figure out how you want to hold it....for me I want the air hole towards the the fire button. This should stop your gurgling.

How long do you fire the button when hitting the reo? And as well, take a hit?

This will be different for most people and is dependent on your coil, air hole, mouth to lung hit or direct and how long can you hold your breath.....lol

For me probably a 3 sec hit on my ADV REOs....on some sub-ohm that I fiddle with it is much less

The cotton thickness has always been the hardest part for me. Much more difficult in a kayfun tho as I'd have to take the whole darn thing apart to rewick. The Japanese cotton is easier for me. You just cut off a piece that's the width of your coil. It seems to wick liquid quicker too which is helpful with my all VG juice.

Ok heck I've been torching the poor thing..
Ok these reos need to be hand delivered by a reonaut that will spend a lazy afternoon with you showing you the ropes.
Or I am just s-l-o-w:lol::lol::lol:
Probably the latter...
Thanks for everyone's great help. I hope this long drawn out process will help a future reo lover.
I am determined to get it right. I know it has to be better than a kanger tank on an mvp, or aspire on a provari right? So far it isn't...:?:

It is just part of the learning process. Once you get it set, there will be no going back. Can you post pics of what you have right now where everything is sitting?
Did you get the RM2 cap unscrewed and in two pieces?

Oh and I don't think the kids here at the B&M can be of much help. While they all seem to be into dripping, they have never heard of a reo. And the decks on their attys are probably twice the size. They use a lot of cotton too.
I do think I like the cotton better than the wick.
I did see in the video how he said to set the airhole on the lid and how to hold it.

You'll get it. I promise. I'm coming from Kayfuns and remember the building/wicking frustrations. I recall thinking that my pro tanks were better than the Kayfun. That all changed dramatically when I got it right. It will become second nature quickly and you'll love the improvement.

Just a tad longer than the coil, or trim it just past is what I have seen. The thickness is what I am not sure of. I wish we had something to compare it to. A toothpick, a match, 64 hairs from a donkey?

60 hairs from a donkey....64 hairs will constrict it.

Match'ish....maybe 1/8 inch but not compressed down and rolled into that size. You will want the cotton to slide back and forth without catching on the coils and then cut off anything that hangs over the edge of your bottom deck.

No, did not try again yet to unscrew it. I take it it would be easiest if it is attached to something like the reo or the ohmtester?

You might try using something rubber to hold it...like the bottom of the mouse pad to hold the thread end. Run it under some hot water etc if it is stuck.

If this is not clear enough, I can try for better later..
this is also the direction I hit it, with air hole pointing also upward from this view..near the coil

that looks pretty good. just be sure the air hole is directly in front of the coil. I can't see how high the coil is off the deck but the cotton look about right to me.

Your RM2 is for a LP correct?

Cool..I will get a side shot too. Give me a few. No the LP went to my friend with the mini. Mine is regular rm2 brass..

Never mind the shot get the cap off the RM2...lol

Well heck fire....get that baby rocking. If flavor is what you want you have all you need right there ready for building.
