So i posted a craigslist ad for Yuma Vapors??? i know of no one, although i have turned on a bunch of folks at work with my vaping and gave out some biz cards from the various on line vendors i deal with. i was wondering, what's the best way to get something going down here like you all have in PHX and TUC and going to a bar/eatery to have a get together? I work at our local hospital and i have been in Yuma for 16 years. There definitely is a "i'm not going to advance technoligically" attitude here, so IDK know what to do. The people at work look at me like i'm nutz! I have spoken to a couple of Snowbirds who were vaping while i was in line to go back across the border from Mexico after some dental work and they were Jammin on their Green smokes. I'm rockin a stock 510 with the blue foam mod and a Bartleby and have a Chuck on order. i am not any type of vendor, all i have is a Joye 510, a Bartleby, a Chuck on order and about 25 different flavors of juice, plus the requisite attys, carts, adapters, cartomizers, et al.
Thanx for any help you can advise in starting a local group. then after established we could visit PHX/TUC in the future!

Wow you got a great response huh Mark....

Well here is my advice.
1st - You need to find out how many members on ECF or the VIP group is from Yuma or the surrounding areas. I don't know of many but that could be a start.
2nd - You need to find out if people really want to meet.
3rd - Find a location that you can Vape in public. Bar/Restaurant. Talk to the owner and explain what an ecig is and see if they mind.
4th - Set a date and Time to meet.
5th - Have fun!

You can always start a thread on the VIP Sub-Forum. Tucson started from many members of the VIP from Tucson starting a thread. I think (I was not a member back then) that the VIP group started from the US Members Forum. So anything is possible.

The funny thing is I have a lot of smoker friends in Yuma and have told them about Vaping. Only had one person try it and actually use them. However I think he has not used them much. But I don't hear much from him anymore.

Good Luck!!!!! Let me know when the meeting will be. Yuma is only a two and half hour drive. LOL

yeah people here look at me like i'm nutz when i tell them. at work i have given out a lot of the biz cards i get from the major suppliers when i order but i have actually only seen one snowbird with an ecig while i was down in Mexico getting some dental work done last month. that is what turned me on to them, she had a 510 and i knew i had to try it, well time and money later i'm done with analogs. yeah great response to this post though. no responses yet from CL, i just don't think there are enough. it's all analog!!

Be careful with that last word. You might want to edit your post and take it out. Any talk about it is taboo and you could be "moved on" without warning.

You might need to be patient also. Get the word out and then see what happens. Also you might want to take a look at Phoenix Local vendors. We have a couple and they are on the ECF board also. Ecigsupply give VIP members great deals on the site and the Meetings (Socials)

I think it would be good to set up some area specific groups. I know that we have enough on the West Side to get together once in a while. We've all met up for a social evening once and it was fun!

I put up a thread for Tucson to post in, and sent them all a PM so they could meet each other there... they started yacking and formed a group quick. Their first social was a big success.

Unfortunately, I think you are the only one in Yuma so far. So... do what I did, watch members who post and when you see someone in/near Yuma, send them a PM and meet up with them in person for a beer and a vape. Before you know it, you'll get a group going. I'll help you to keep an eye on members who are in Yuma.

How about talking to your local paper about vaping? Have them do a positive article (do your homework!) and provide a contact email in the article. List a club in the paper (free) with your contact info. If your hospital is vaping friendly, they may allow you to put some info. in an employee area about vaping.
