Shek your right we didn't talk, I don't think anyone on forums can actually talk to other lmao...

It doesn't take a person to actually say something to"me"to say they talked me out of it I was just agreeing with what you were saying.

If anyone asks me if this new lt looks good, I would say yes. I already own a lt so I wouldn't want another one , even if I won it in a contest I would probably give it away or sell it.

I was following this thread to see what the talk was about.

Digunderground

I respect your attitude about all this. I'm pretty new in the game, about one month to be exact! My first pv is the lt, do I love it yes I do, it worked for me. In this first month I made 2 3.7v mods, the first one was a14500 single batt box mod. And since I do carving I decided to make my own wood mod with a18650 imr.

Nice little blog entry, kinda says it all....

Apollo Stainless Steel Variable Voltage VTube | InVape

"Hi Allan, I tried to get specifics from Apollo concerning the electronics, as they claim this is a NEW version. I was unable to get any, as they haven’t had a chance to test the unit yet. As soon as I receive mine, I will be posting updates concerning the voltage specs."

Which means that Apollo has never held/tested one of these!

And L-Rider says they're only making chrome-plated versions and NOT stainless steel ones.

Ouch.

And I hope that their "High Drain" battery is an IMR, cuz if an ICR, that's fraudulent advertising!

The one's that come with the kits are all unprotected ICR's.

I can see the Federal Trade Commission complaints already....

Which also means YOU have never held or tested one of these, or for that matter one of the china made provari clones circling the web and in your posts...

It the SS lava tube MIGHT be awesome, it MIGHT be chrome plated poo with buttons.. but bashing it before you have even used it is senseless, and knowing how to use alibaba.com doesn't mean you know more about it than the person fabricating it.

I've spent the last 10 years in design and development and many times we would buy the internals of one device and manufacture our own casing etc (this is the name of the game in non ipod mp3 players, cameras, monitors, kitchenware ) or liked an existing set of internals but want new mods like a high res screen etc. Funny part, if someone asked the manufacturer if they make the part we custom ordered, they would say NO because its something we were doing under contract in limited run. Besides, rarely is the person answering questions high enough on the totem pole to have any clue whats actually being developed, they have a company catalog in front of them and are reading it back to you.

again, it might be awesome and it might be poo covered in chrome and fall part in a month... no one will know till there are actual reviews from real users.. this goes for the ss LT and your china provari clone..

I guess what I'm saying is you were the guy that loved telling kids there was no Santa. If you are down on the product, that's ok, no need to say whats not right for you isn't right for someone else. You are exerting a lot of effort discussing something you clearly don't want and dislike the concept of, this seems counterintuitive.

Didn't you confirm that L-Rider is making a SS version just a few posts ago?

@digunderground

I seem to remember Volcano say the very same thing about "contractual rights & limited editions" with L-Rider.....ironic, isn't it?

@SilentEcho13

Go back a re-read the 2 am conversation(s) with more sales reps.

Here's a link:

It's highly unlikely that Apollo has "exclusive" rights with L-Rider to produce a 'limited edition' stainless steel VTube ONLY for them!

Especially considering the very same kind of contract with Volcano, whom invented the Lavatube.....but now it's being sold globally and quite literally to anyone, anywhere.

I honestly hope that you all get what you paid for, but at this point....it ain't lookin' good.

I'm just curious, how do you know L-Rider is building the body for Apollo? Any machine shop domestic or foreign could make a stainless steel tube given the specifications. If I'm missing something please let me know.

If we buy from your co-op do we have any type guarantee or warranty at all? If it is bad when we get it where do we send it back? I just wonder because you have a co-op going and you are buying from L-ryder correct?

Are they not the ones that you said?

" L-Rider is notorious for delivering fakes! " a few pages back?

I just can’t seem to figure out why you think L-ryder and Apollo are ripping us off so much.

I know you say you are looking out for us but it seems like you have gone way past that now. You were all worried about our warranty if the PV slipped out of our hands etc.

But your co-op is buying from the same place and it could be ripped off also! They have no warranty at all I guess? You may need to worry more about that than us.

Thanks for your advice and it has been heard over and over now so... thanks. I know it has been many many many.....Months. Since you first started trying to get a co-op going and to date no one has any PV's yet I guess!

Well you were just over there Charm, didn't you read anything while you were there?

1. Yes, there's a 90-day replacement warranty in place for BOTH of my Co-Ops.

2. L-Rider has been known for selling AW batteries to Volcano that were in fact fakes and it's a very well know and highly publicized incident.

3. Ripping you off? That's the question....and why I'm in here to begin with! To determine if in fact these LT bodies are, in fact, stainless steel or are they just chrome-plated?

4. Us getting ripped off? ABSOLUTELY!! And all the more reason WHY I'd question chrome-plated bodies being sold as "stainless steel", when I'm being told by L-Rider DIRECTLY that they're not even manufacturing an SS body for the LT. So something is CLEARLY wrong here.....

5. Correct....I haven't placed the orders yet, they're non-profit Co-Op, not pre-orders! And they're both extremely large Co-Ops so I want to be absolutely SURE that everything's Kosher and that everyone in my Co-Ops are very well informed and know the risks involved BEFORE we all commit to it.

FULL DISCLOSURE.

Anymore questions?

How do I know? That's kind of a dumb question, don't ya think?

Think about it, I'm sure you'll figure it out.

I don't really think that answers my question? I'm genuinely asking how you know that Apollo isn't having the stainless bodies done by another manufacturer? Do you work for Apollo or L-Rider? Not trying to be a sarcastic, I'm genuinely asking.

Yes? Where you send it back to china? How long to get the money back?

I hope all goes well for you. I was just a bit worried about this?

With all the lavatubes coming out the old style is going to seem a bit outdated I guess. I can see a big price drop on them.

I hope all goes well for all.

if not for us I will be the first to email you so you can say I told you so.

That is right after I send it back for my money back guarantee!:D

Nope...the warranty is extra LT's and extra high quality batteries, so there's no messing around with shipping anything back to China.

They would just send me the dud and I'd replace it with one of the back-ups.

Then whatever remains after the 90 days, if any of the back-ups are left, they'll be given away in drawings for those people that made those unit purchases.

Each having a vote count for the number of units they purchased, making it completely fair for everyone.

They're really great Co-Ops, lots of excited people over there....but one hell of a long-term non-paying job for me, man!
