Not going to happen. They're going to throw out any idiotic reg they can think of to see how much kick back they get. I'm not saying they won't try to ban it. But stop and think how big vapeing has become. Are they just going to ban everything and shut down all the vape stores, juice makers, and PV makers?
Will they make the local law confiscate the inventory from these places and pad lock the doors? It would be a nightmare for them. Vapeing stayed unnoticed as long as it could. I was hoping for a bit longer but as slow as they are we have some more time. I'm also sure there're legal challenges that will be made.
One more thing. Unlike taxes and restrictions on tobacco that was aimed at smokers. This now also includes the family of vapers that have finely seem someone they love quite smoking. Something they have wanted for a long time.
Maybe I'm to optimistic about this. But I just have a hard time with some of the things that keep coming up that just don't add up. So I'll just ask this. If everything but cig-a-likes was banned would go back to smoking? Or would you find a way to keep vapeing or just stop completely? At this point the politicians are starting to realize just how many people they are going to piss off they get carried away with the regs. :2c:

Well why wouldn't they promote their own product, and why would we expect anything less from them.

BT is only interested in lining their pockets, we only matter if we buy their products.

OH-and BTW, Blu uses a simple cartomizer (probably produced by Boge), you can refill it all you want.

I laugh when people say Blu is so bad. It was state of the art when it first came out. Blu wasn't always owned by BT. I would have sold it too ... when offered 160 million for it.
It's just a first generation e-cig is all.

Here is a Blu in a different wrapper:

I believe several of us have been predicting this "shot" for the last two years.

We basically have only two options left, IMO:

    1. Vote "smart" in November and hope that the leadership of the Senate changes hands, which will lead to the best chance of derailing the Deeming Regulations.

    2. Be prepared financially to contribute as much as possible to a class action lawsuit brought by CASAA or SAFTA or both.
This is essentially what happened several years ago when the FDA banned e-cig products which resulted in US Custom seizures. I believe it was NJoy who filed a lawsuit blocking the FDA ban, and the court gave the FDA several years to study the issue and come up with a plan to define and regulate e-cigs. What did they do during those years of study? Nothing.

Instead of an outright ban, now they hope to over-regulate them out of existance, except for the variety that Big Tobacco wants to sell.

what is crying about it on the internet doing?

I often ask myself this question BUT, I went to a conference in France where there were discussions about how powerful the internet could become over the next decade IF people pull together.

Consider the future... the internet should have the power to make or break even the biggest corporations and/or political control. People (it was suggested) don't believe this yet.. but I am convinced.

    There IS hope.

    (Isn't there?) :)

ohhhh kewlll pretty soon all we will be able to eat is canned food.... no more cooking of individual products to make dinner, imagine all the resturants that will flounder... sheesh the intelligence of the whole idea... if this makes it then there are some really dense minded people in seats of power...

Blu stank before BT bought them out. They stank because they failed to evolve. First generation devices are nothing compared to what is available today.

If it really is all about corruption and money, whining on the internet does nothing.. The internet has been great at blowing things out of proportion. A company proposes regulations which would benefit them and all of a sudden everything but their cartos will be banned...

RJR isn't talking to us, they are talking to the FDA people (biased perhaps, bought and paid for perhaps), their political shills, and the people who do not like smoking/e-cigs/tobacco/appearance of smoking/anyone doing something that they themselves don't do. And the generally ignorant uneducated public. We need PSA's to clear the air of all the wrong/biased info out there...We get the voting public in back of us then you'll start to see those people in Washington paying attention! Support CAASA!

One could use the same arguments for banning any food that doesnt come packaged and sealed.

People had the nerver to buy and consume edible commodities right off the farm, been changing it some since generations ( it's called cooking, btw ) and mostly lived to tell about it.

Doesn't come as a surprise, though. Cigalikes simply dont have enough battery power. Except for the overpriced and underperforming crap they want us to buy.

China sells also lathes at rock bottom rates.

And Mr. Reynolds ? Ever heard of the Streisand-effect ?
