I got my shipment today of Bounty Hunter (I've already had it before and love it).. What really blew me away was the Raspberry and Peach (30 ml for 5 bucks), the flavors are AMAZING!! I feel like I robbed somebody, it's a shame they are discontinuing them, they are by FAR the best fruit flavors I've ever had (out of about 50 other fruits from diff vendors)..

I found a great new concept for the Bounty Hunter this morning:

I just received my Gourmet Vapors order yesterday, which is heavy in coffee flavors.
I prefer the not so much creamy cappuccinos or lattes, but the very strong & bold straight-up coffee flavors with some different nut components.
OK, I loaded up Walnut Caramel Coffee, 50/50 6mg.

Whew! I would have thought I had ordered a 2x juice, this juice has an Intense Walnut Bite.
Out of the three flavors, the caramel was coming in a distant third for me.
Primarily I tasted robust coffee and a very strong and dry (almost acrid) Walnut flavor.

I actually liked it because I like very bold flavors, but this was a bit too dry and piercing.
This juice would not be for the meek, but I liked it, I just thought it needed some taming.

So I'm looking through the whole juice stash, wondering what juice could mellow out such an animal, give it some sweetness and soften up it's overly-strong dry bite.

You guessed it, I took one look at the Bounty Hunter with it's vanilla cake sweetness and said, 'If anything's gonna work this out, it'll be The Hunter'.

Worked perfect. I can clearly still taste the predominant coffee and walnut, but the Bounty Hunter added it's vanilla wafer goodness to make for a now very enjoyable vape juice blend.

I have not had much luck trying to blend juices, what seems to make sense to me on the front end going in has usually turned into a throwaway/disaster most of the time, but not this time, it worked great.

So to turn it around backwards now, I now can vape Bounty Hunter daily, but add a drop or two of my different coffee and nut flavors to give The Hunter a slightly different twist each day just to keep it interesting, because although I LOVE Bounty Hunter, it is a somewhat tame (but still absolutely excellent) and inoffensive vanilla cake/cookie base flavor.

This very bold nutty coffee thing gives The Bounty Hunter a good swift kick in the flavor pants if you want to up the 'bite factor' a notch or two.
I've almost finished off a carto of it already today and am loving the flavor combination.

...Can you say WINNING?

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Drak,

Nice post.

Mixing flavors experimentally in tiny batches (3ml or so) is terrific when we get lucky enough to hit upon tasty combinations. I love mixing backwoods' Maxboro/Bacco with Malty Toffee (at about a 3:1 ratio), and bwb Hunter's Blend mixed 50/50 with want2vape Crème Brulee. Yum!

Then, after vaping those combos for awhile, going back to the straight, unmixed version of each juice (whether the tobaccos or the sweeter buffers) reminds me again how wonderful all those individual juices are.

I wouldn't have thought that Bounty Hunter would make a great mixer, but from your post I can see how its vanilla white cake tone would smooth out and balance harsher or more acrid flavors.

I'm also curious about Gourmet Vapors. Opinions about them on ECF are all over the map. GV has good sale discounts, and often, but I absolutely hate the design/layout of their web site. The search function never works for me at all---I type in the name of a particular juice of theirs that I read about on ECF, hit the search button, and the screen refreshes with another seemingly random vertical listing of hundreds of juices, which never contains the one I asked for. As a result, I've never ordered from them and leave the site time and again in frustration and disgust. I must be missing something obvious. How do you find anything on their site?

I can tell you this from my experience...if I enter a searchword (like walnut), I HAVE to hit their search button for it to work.

If I enter the searchterm and just hit the 'enter' key on my keypad, I think it does what you describe.

Hope that may help a little...and keeping the searchterm to one word if possible helps, although if I hit the word walnut, I know I'm still going to be looking at 50 flavors, all with walnut in them, it's better than scrolling through the Master List, which is next to impossible, haha!

These juices ARE somewhat different than several other vendors I've tried, the flavors are really IN YOUR FACE, and the two I've tried are both somewhat 'dry', but I'm not complaining, honestly, that's exactly what I wanted in a bold nutty coffee flavor to begin with. If I have to tweak it down, that's perfectly acceptable to me. I wanted bold flavor and lots of it, and that's definitely what I got.

I could see where some finicky vapers who were used to a particular style of polite juice flavors (and I like those too) may not like this, but I would just chalk that up to personal preferences, it doesn't make this 'bad' in any way.

Maybe your analogy to the Sundance being a slightly immature brash juice compared to the BH may be a good analogy, because I think I could call these flavors 'brash', but for my coffee flavors, I wanted bold and brash. I could see where some people trying these might do a little :shock:...

As always, YMMV. :)

hey billherbst, which mixture of BH impressed you?

dream,

I haven't tried the 100% VG version, but I do have 70mls of the PG blend. Going through it faster than any other juice I can remember. I don't have any aggravating sensitivities to PG as some folks do, so I'm not likely to order the VG, but I'll be interested to learn if you find it as flavorful as the PG blend.

I do have both.

I can't tell any difference in taste at all really.

Vapor is better with the 100%VG, but you probably already knew that.

The only other difference is that the 100% VG is absolutely the thickest juice I own, (as previously stated) it will barely draw up into a syringe, which tells me they don't cut it with distilled water (or much, anyway)

If I had to pick, I'd pick the VG, but I can't say why with any conclusive data, maybe it's just the fog machine effect...

I just got my 30ml bottle of bounty hunter today. The way I see it, if the word bounty was not used at all in the name of the flavor, there would be absolutely NO comparison to Boba's. For example if the name of this flavor was called "morning glory" would anyone here compare it to Boba's?

I don't think NLV named it bounty hunter for the sole reason to draw comparisons to Boba's. It's just part of their old west theme and they just got lucky with it. As crazy as it sounds, they only sell a ton of bounty hunter because of the name. It's the only reason I tried it to be honest. I wanted to see how it matched up against Boba's. And it really doesn't. Don't get me wrong, it a decent juice, especially for the value. It has a very subtle sweet aftertaste. But I don't think it tastes anything even close to Boba's. Boba's is in a class by itself. I know of no other juice that has this type of flavor.

But again, bounty hunter is a decent tasting quality juice. It's not gonna knock your socks off. But for the price, it's definitely a winner in my book. NLV is a great vendor with even better customer service. They are very similar with Prime Vaping if you ask me. I'm a big fan of both of these vendors.

You know, I agree with your comments, but the funny thing is, is that I don't think the whole comparison thing has hurt either company, I would be willing to bet both juices have suffered an increase in sales due to this comparison thing if for no other reason, so as they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity...

I do disagree with this comment.
Yes, Boba's has a very individualistic flavor.
But so does Bounty Hunter.

I personally like Bounty Hunter better than Boba's now, but because I like one more over the other doesn't mean one is better, just means I prefer one more, that's all, it's just a personal opinion.
The vanilla used in Bounty Hunter to me is THE BEST vanilla flavoring I have tried in any juice, bar none hands down, so if you're going to compare them like that, I would say they're neck and neck, that particular vanilla stands head and shoulders above any other vanilla I've had so far, it is indeed addictive and tasty as all hell.

As my taste buds have improved over the weeks, I personally find Boba's overly sweet now, I don't vape it by itself too often anymore (not like I did 2 weeks ago), but love to use it to enhance some other flavors.
It's a great juice (if you happen to like it, not everybody does), but it doesn't stand on any mountain peak all by itself.

Yes, they're both GREAT vendors, excellent customer service, superior products, none of the juices I've gotten from either company HAD to be steeped, and the two juices mentioned are both very individualistic in flavor.

They're both good and offer their own individualistic flavor.
Tie. :)

But so does Bounty Hunter.

I actually have to sort-of disagree with this one, myself :)

Personally, I believe that Boba's Bounty holds a much higher level of individualism than Bounty Hunter. Why? Because as far as smell and taste, Bounty Hunter smells sort-of similar to VR's VR4, though they do have differences, no doubt. Boba's on the other hand, I've yet to find a juice that is similar enough to say it "reminds" of one or the other. This could just be me, and it could be that I haven't found that juice that does indeed compare to Boba's.

None the less, Bounty is great stuff. I am vaping it right now, actually. :)

I agree, you're right, Boba's is very individualistic, where Bounty Hunter is just a vanilla tobacco, I get that.

I guess my point was that I've had vanilla in several different formats from several different vendors, and this particular one leaves the rest completely in the dust no comparison, except maybe Virgin Vapors, but I haven't vaped her vanilla alone exclusively, it was in her vanilla chai latte, but everything she makes is just spinning off the planet good with those organic flavors she uses, those VV juices are in another universe all their own.

I cave, you win, ...while we both vape Bounty Hunter.

I found the VG version I have to be a bit stronger for some reason. I have about 50mls left of the 150mls of pg BH... and I have only vaped about 10mls of the VG... it hits me in the throat a little harder and the vapor thicker...

Been vaping it in my reo grand... LR atty...

lol, I didn't desire for you to cave  I was just throwing in my two cents, everyone smells and tastes different. For all I know, Bounty Hunter could be the more unique and individualistic flavor for your senses. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that!

Either way, most of us agree on one thing and that is that this is some fantastic liquid! :D

And every time I've ordered something from them, they include some kind of freebie, and every freebie they've given me was something I wouldn't have chosen on my own, and turned into something I would buy again.

Namely, the Bottle Caddy's which I love now (especially at the $2.25 price tag), and their Caparillo, which is also excellent in comparison with one other Cappuccino I've tried.

After ordering my first cappuccino from another vendor and really not liking it, I would not have ordered cappuccino from anyone again, but they turned it around for me.

Maybe next order I'll luck out and they'll include some of their straight Vanilla...one can hope. :)
