    Wow...
But you have time to rant about your grammar using even worse grammar and punctuation?
Yes, we noticed that you used a period there.

This is hilarious...you probably should care about grammar when it is the medium you are using to convey a message :) Also, you are coming here to find out why your box blew up...yet you don't want any of the reasons or advice given? I've asked many questions on this forum when building my boxes, took the advice/heeded the warnings. Things have worked out pretty well. I have also made quite a few mistakes, tried to learn from them and the mistakes of others.

    when you type stuff like
to fire it to fix coils befor wicking , second I put the second batterie in the top and bottom of the batteries lit up within a second bright red ,

it makes it hard for somebody to figure out what you are saying.

when people don't make the effort to communicate clearly, other people don't bother to make much effort to respond.

    Agreed.

You don't need a Type D extinguisher though. There's no metalluc lithium in our rechargeable Li-Ion's. In fact, the most effective way to stop a battery in thermal runaway is to use water or an aqueous foam (or similar water-based method). The density of the water, versus powder or gas, quickly brings down the temperature of battery below the thermal runaway threshold and the reaction stops.
I double checked you both and Mooch is correct, Li-ion batteries do not required a class D extinguisher. I freaked out because I do not have a class D and practically everything in my house runs in Li-ion! The non-rechargeable lithium batteries would require a class D extinguisher. Fire safety is important and you should have an extinguisher on every level of your home! [emoji3]

if there was no short with the first battery, and the problem occurred when you put the second battery in, sounds like you accidentally put in the second battery upside down, causing instant discharge.

It's a mistake that's easy to make with flattops batteries.,
Yep even Grimm Green does that sometimes. He did it a couple of weeks ago. Gotta pay attention.

Yes, I have to admit, I'm hardly the grammar police, but I have to concentrate to read your posts as I'm a math geek and read things very literally. So I have to wade through the misspellings and lack of punctuation, and put it into context to understand you.

I'm not very good at grammar or spelling either, but I make an effort for sake of communication.

I've made the mistake twice in two years with dual bay chargers.

Once somebody is going to be swapping out batteries a hundredplus times a year, it's not so much a question of if as a question of when the mistake is going to happen.

A simple fuse between the 2 positive battery holder terminals would solve the problem.

The paint is coming off ( the splatter paint job) I wanna strip all the paint off any way of doing that without leaving scratches on the copper ? I wanna do my own paint job , may sound dumb but it looks dumb as of now honestly with the paint removing random spots

You could try "Scotch-Brite" pads that are abrasive but will just leave a matte finish on your mech. You could then use a polishing compound and cloth to smooth out the matte surface a bit.

Heck, even just the regular no-name two color, green/yellow, dishwashing scrubber pads could work...the green side.
