aren't they jumping the gun a bit? According to my understanding the whole debacle over the case of FDA vs SE and njoy is decide whether or not the e-cig is a tobacco product and yet they have made their own decision based upon personal opinion? (I am on the fence as to whether or not e-juice can be truly considered a tobacco product as some arguments have put things in an understandable light form a scientific perspective check out sun vaporers giganto thread for more info)

All up in your grill..
Don't look at this as an isolated incident we can counter with a boycott. Far from it. Read it as yet another marker on a trend line. Which way is the trend heading?
You know all I ever hear from you is how screwed we are. What I am not hearing is any suggestions as to how to counter it. I get it. They are jerks. But what do you sugest? Should I just bend over and take it? At least i am trying. I am writing letters, sending emails and making phone calls. I am calling for boycotts. I am trying! If you have a better idea of how to counter this facist propaganda machine, then TB I am all ears. Why are you so against us at least trying to fight back? Is there something I am missing? We are on the same side here!

You don't want to use them anyway. My husband is an auto body mechanic and they used to be a really good company. This year (prob due to the bad economy) they have been slacking in their service. They used to pay to replace parts when something was badly damaged. Now they just want my husband to make the damaged part look okay without paying him for the extra time it took. They have gone shady.

I don't agree that ALL we hear from TB is doom and gloom. He has had a lot of very great information on a large amount of the vaping experience. However, on this note I agree with Mac that action is required with *tate *arm Insurance Company, UK University in Kentucky and any other entity that sees fit to restrict, legislate or curb our rights and liberties to choose our own behaviors, personal beliefs and life styles (with the exceptions of bringing outright harm to others).

I am looking into other insurance options right now and will compose a direct letter explaining my departure from *tate *arm Insurance Company. I hope they get the message and recend their policy and take a step to restore this country to the land of the free.

You have a good point and I misspoke. It's not all he says. He has provided an invaluable resource for snus users and some interesting product reviews. But I never hear anything positive at all about our efforts or our situation. On that topic it is pretty much all pessimissim. Being something of a cynic myself I can certainly relate. But look at it like this. If he jumps in and says bah humbug a boycott won't work. How many people will read that and then not bother? That is counter productive. We should not give up. I don't go into his threads and try to undermine what he is trying to accomplish. So my point stands. (even if worded poorly on my part) Unless he can suggest something else more productive then "we are screwed it's the manufacturers fault and there is nothing we can do." Why even bother posting in my thread? Why discourage people to fight these injustices? It accomplishes nothing and may even hinder any chance of success these types of efforts may yield. So Pfft:p

I do it for a living. I know a good bit about it too. I still don't go into the "sign this petition" thread and discourage people from signing it. What is the point in discouraging people from fighting their opressors? What does the date you first logged into this forum have to do with that anyway? I'm not bashing him. I am just asking him not to discourage people from speaking up.

Quick question....just playing devils advocate.

A local hospital has its campus as a smoke free area. Same verbiage as Ate arm. Should you boycott then as well?

How about local police department that also have the same rules for their officers while at city hall, or the station. Would Boycott them if you were being robbed or got into an accident?

I believe that it is just as wrong on both counts. Employers should not be able to force their (insane) morality upon their employees. Remember my issue isn't with bannng tobacco use but e-cig use and they are not the same thing. Although honestly, I think even banning tobacco use in your own vehicle is invasive and goes way too far. If the business owner wishes to protect people from second hand smoke that's one thing. If they wish to control the lives of their employees in such a way as to be intrusive (and again for absolutely no good reason) that is another.

Besides. Boycotting hospitals and police departments doesn't work. Your notion is absurd.

Thanks for posting about this Mac. I'll be searching for a new insurance company and dropping the State Farm fascists asap..

I'll tell them why, but I won't go into detail, they don't want to hear it anyway. They're on the Anti smoker/tobacco chewer, gum chewer/PV inhaler/tobacco flavored candy sucker religion bandwagon, they've made up their minds..

And I've made up my mind, they'll have no more of my money. Even if sometime in the future they dropped or modified the ban, I would still go nowhere near them for trying it on in the first place...They're banned for life.

The use of tobacco products will be prohibited anywhere on Tate Arm premises, including within personal vehicles parked at Tate Arm facilities. The Zone defines tobacco products as cigarettes, cigars, pipes, herbal tobacco products, chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes, and any other smoking/tobacco product. This applies to all persons including visitors, vendors, contractors and any person located in a Tate Arm building, on Tate Arm grounds or in a Tate Arm parking lot. A notification will be sent to all vendors and contractors who do business with or on Tate Arm properties.

Well, it's a shame that the tate's farm agents will be the ones to suffer the most... and probably have nothing to do with the policy. So, do be sure to explain why you are going with another company, so the backlash will be felt all the way to the top.

It is interesting that they are condemning something that could cut down on the number of house fires and save them a lot of money. Ignorance, I'm sure.
