Hey if you like that, check this out...
This is a simple touch switch PT I made out of a AAA battery box from radio shack.
Yes I used a 510 atty connector as the touch contact points
It is the same circuit I used as in the previous posts. Just thought I'd share, this cost me about 8 dollars to make. LOL
Here is a diagram for the circuits with out mounting it on a PCB:
Why yes, yes I do. I just got bored
I also had to redo my touch points, I added a 510 atty connector for the touch points, works perfect everytime now!
OK, just found another mosfet with great params It's IRLR8743PbF. I've just checked it both on HV and on a single cell - it behaves as expected Its gate opening voltage is around 2V, while its Drain-source resistance is around 3 miliohms. It works as a champ! And... it's really easy to get even in small shops.
Dan, I've been busy, thought I replied to this-- that turned out real nice, looks like 3 fingers curl around it very comfortably. You didn't say, but is that a 18350?
The switches are presta valve tubes with two nuts, a brass screw and the nut for that screw is brazed into the top cap of a brass upholstery tack which lately I've replaced with just a brass screw and a knurled nut so that it is lockable. Depending on the screw there is also another tube press fit on to take out the slop or it is built up with silver solder.
Yeah they must have been looking at this for inspiration. One should be able to feel the initial thermal runaway in the hand and then instinctively throw the mod down. I'm hoping it will get a spin going like a ground bloom flower.
