Seems my breathing has got worse. I smoked cigarettes for a year. Been vaping for 6 months. I use 90vg 3mg and vape 15ml a day roughly.

I also have anxiety and have been seeing the whole popcorn lung thing, so I may just be driving myself crazy. Is popcorn lung really that easy to get? Anyone actually get it from vaping or is it a load of crap

HIgh VG coats my lungs with phlegm and gives me that "heavy lung" feeling. 50vg/50pg works best for me. You may want to consider uping your PG.

If you are going to read all the new media then make sure you get the facts: Media and General News

Here is the article by Wall Street Journal:
Study Finds E-Cigarettes Contain Chemical Tied to ‘Popcorn Lung’

And here is what the article/study fails to report.
Everybody is talking about vaping and "popcorn lung" again, so here's a graph

15ml is quite a bit. I would assume you are subohming. If so, have you tried MTL at maybe 6mg?

I can blow thru 15ml in a day in my subohm tank and MAYBE 5ml if I vape 1.2-1.5ohms in my Nautilus tanks. More like 3-4ml.

Maybe cutting back on the amount of VG you are putting into your lungs would help.

Cutting down on the amount you vape and in particular the amount of VG you vape should help with your breathing. If you make the changes in small steps, maybe you can end up with a vape that works better for your breathing. Finding a vape that isn't the very best but works for you is still a huge win over smoking. Good luck!

no one has actually gotten it from vaping as far as we know. no one got it from smoking either as far as we know and smokes have some of the fear mongering ingredients too. Try cutting back on the amount of VG you are vaping and see if it helps. If I vape liquid with to much VG I find it tightens up my chest a bit so I try to stay at no more than 50 % VG.

Did you inhale straight to lung when you smoked or mouth to lung? If you're having breathing issues vaping 90VG you might consider going mouth to lung, higher Nic, 70pg/30vg or higher pg, less juice in a suitable tank like a nautilus mini or kayfun if you rebuild. High pg straight to lung is too harsh for me, and I never smoked like that anyway.

Many folks have a sensitivity to high% VG.
The symptoms can range from increased phlegm to tight or heavy chest to shortness of breath to difficulty breathing.

Ignoring breathing problems is beyond unwise.

I can vape 1 ~ 1.5 ml per day of 60% vg with slight discomfort, tight heavy chest.
6 hits of 80%vg would make breathing very difficult for me.

Sub ohm yes. I can't do mtl, hate it, but I guess I'm gonna cut down some on my consumption

Exactly! If I vaped 15ml a day of 80% + VG I would be gagging on the trail of slime running down the back of my throat!
Could be that your craving Nic and not realizing it. I quit smoking and started chewing several years back, and remember having Nic withdrawal and actually having to remind myself the cure was in my back pocket, lol.

Mtl when I smoked. But vaping I'll only go straight lung. I can't stand mtl tanks. I love high wattage, fused claptons, lots of vapor. That's the type I am. But I suppose I'm gonna have to go to like 10ml a day??

Cutting back might help. You have to listen to what your body, and lungs, tell you though. If it hurts you try something else. Hope cutting back helps. Maybe consider cutting back the VG to 50/50 and see if that works. Just do something different if what you do doesn't help :)

What exactly did you hate about it?

I can't tolerate VG higher than 50%. I use 3mg 50/50, 55/45 at 35W with a 0.25 ohm coil and produce really nice clouds. High VG makes my throat feel like it's coated in thick, sticky yuck, my lungs feel like they are heavy and full, and me feel like I can't catch my breath. Breathing is more important than blowing clouds.

What wattage and resistance are you using? Maybe lowering the wattage, upping the PG and nic level could adjust things for you.

What's so bad about 70vg/30? I'm pg sensitive, but sometimes maxVG gets a little heavy, even for me. Luckily, I can handle a 70/30 blend and split it between that and max. Is it all about the clouds, bro? With the right build, you can still get plenty of vapor. Life is not a Cloud Competition. Your health is more important.

Nic`d Up in Oklahoma!
The ANTI`s are really trying to push this junk azz PCL story. I found a LEO board I belong to on FB pushing it and immediately sounded off, as did about 4 other vapers. It was therefor deleted in a few short hours. Good for our LEO`s that they were willing to do due diligence and get the facts straight after buying into the "junk science".

"Cops 4 Cops Texas" on FB rocks! :?)
