Is popcorn lung really that easy to get? Anyone actually get it from vaping or is it a load of crap
On average there's 100 times more diacetyl in cigarettes than ecigs, no cases of popcorn lung caused by ecigs or tobacco for that matter have EVER been reported.

Quoted for emphasis.
It's not the diacetyl.
I'm not a doctor, but I'm betting it's the high VG%.

Mtl when I smoked. But vaping I'll only go straight lung. I can't stand mtl tanks. I love high wattage, fused claptons, lots of vapor. That's the type I am. But I suppose I'm gonna have to go to like 10ml a day??

If that's how you vape and love high VG you're going to have to decide between breathing and clouds.

Gosh I feel like a lightweight. I vape maybe 2ml a day of 50/50 1.8mg Nicotine. Of course, I'm a toodle puffer, but I get all the nicotine I need. I did find that at 1.1mg nic I was chain vaping more at home, but 5 good pulls at 1.8mg and I start to get a new smoker-ciggy style head buzz. Nicotine, for me at least, self attenuates consumption

Yes and way to many people forget to mention that, The study they did in that area, in that popcorn factory was inconclusive! The logical conclusion would be that, inhaling popcorn flavoring dust in high volumes may have a similar effect as inhaling dirt or drywall dust! BUT science does not actually support any particular scenario! The whole thing is ridiculous, and nauseates me in the same way political forums nauseate me!

Well there's your problem with your breathing. If you want to be able to breathe, you'll need to cultivate a taste for more PG and less VG. Taste is optional; breathing is required.

Well is it unhealthy hahaha I can still breathe

I vape 15-25ml a day of max VG juice. I have been vaping about a year and a half, but only sub ohming for about 8 months. I'm not sensitive to VG so I don't experience any negative side effects. I know you said you like the clouds and whatnot, but I accidentally ordered some 65VG juice once and I was still chuckin some serious clouds. You should consider dropping the VG % of your juice or just dealing with your discomfort I guess.

So vaping this much is unhealthy then...

That is a good hypothesis, and I bet not one single laboratory rat would survive 15mls of 80%+ VG e juice. :)

IMO 15ml/day is pretty excessive. Hopefully any studies in the near future will be focused on usage rates the average smoker would require to get off analogs.

I normally vape 30/70, but now that its winter 40/60 (pg/vg), and rarely use as much as 8ml unless Im playing with a dripper then who knows, lol.
One thing I dont know if anyone mentioned, drinking more water might help!

Honestly, without a doctor's opinion, that is just speculation. There are a LOT of things that can interfere with breathing. You CAN try to modify your vaping habits, but if you don't get the results you want, seeing a doctor should really be your next step. Listen to what your body is telling you, and take care of yourself.

Seems my breathing has got worse. I smoked cigarettes for a year. Been vaping for 6 months. I use 90vg 3mg and vape 15ml a day roughly.

I also have anxiety and have been seeing the whole popcorn lung thing, so I may just be driving myself crazy. Is popcorn lung really that easy to get? Anyone actually get it from vaping or is it a load of crap

How about you cut back to maybe some 50/50(just tolerate it) and maybe slack off a bit. You seem to be stressing and possibly over vaping.
Some people do not like or claim PG allergies - I say let an allergist confirm
Some people seem to have Chest issues(lungs) with PG
Some people seem to have Chest issues(lungs) with PG
Some simply Over vape
Some Vape heavily flavored e-liquid and are effected
Some Vape improperly and are effected

Might you be one of the above, some? o_O

I generally have breathing issues when Over indulging, much like the Tummy on Thanksgiving/Christmas. Usually Backing off corrects the problem, much like not picking at the Turkey all day.......and ham, cranberry sauce, rolls... Now I'm hungry!:glare:

Later!

I'm pretty sure I figured out your problem.

YOU.

This is not a Medicine, it is a change from Smoking.
There is no prescribed requirement - Only SELF IMPOSED

Back off and you will enjoy what you are doing much more. Keep going at a rate well beyond what your Body is willing to put up with and you might regret the end result.
Even Drinking water, one has to know when to put the glass down.

I smoked for 45+ years, been Vaping for 3 and go through up to 20ml a day........Notice I said Up To. I can tell when I need to Back off.:)

15ml a day? o_O
that would last me a week and a half minimum.
time to find a hobby and lay off the vape for a bit.. surely at those rates it can't be any good for health..
my consumption goes up as I lower my nic, I should level off at about 10ml a day in a week or so. Just went down from 6-5.. average consumption of 6mg was about 12ml a day planning on going down to 4 on newyears.

Know this quoted message is not directed to me. Felt a desire to reply in agreement with what you express here.

Smoked probably only a decade less than you. I often am bemused reading about people vaping 10+ml a day. Lucky I can do maybe 1.75ml a day. I do not feel jealous of people vaping what I think, "oh wow, that's a lotta juice".

It is what it is for everyone. My 1.75ml is what works for me, your say 15ml is what works for you. Can agree in feeling a need to back off. A person's body usually lets them know when enough is enough. We each have to understand that for what it is too, acting accordingly. Example: "Ah, the vaping is making my lungs feel like they're on fire. I might want to set it aside for a day or two."

More could be said but likely better it is not. :)
