Oh no! I just saw this post! I know it sucks when Olga strikes. Did you contact Clark & Co, or did you have insurance?

Just ordered a metric ton of flat rate priority boxes just in case our new bubble-out packaging doesn't do the trick. Today - I took the new bubble-out, wrapped it around a full bottle, held the bottle over my head... and dropped it on a tile floor FOUR TIMES. No breaks, no leaks. Then Katy took it and THREW it at the floor (not just dropped it) - cap cracked. That's the kind of abuse these packages are taking.

Seriously, that is ridiculous. I'm going $2.50 all the way in all future orders.

I gotta tell you, Clark. I am really nervous what condition my big order is going to arrive in. Even though I paid for Priority 2-day shipping I don't think those purple envelopes are going to cut it. Especially when you have multiple glass bottles in the same envelope.

Yes, I purchased insurance. But I also know what kind of a pain it is to get reimbursed and requires multiple trips to the Post Office at my expense. In the meantime, without the item.

Three glass bottles arrived at my house today, ALL FINE, thankfully.
Two more bottles due in tomorrow....... we'll see how those do.

Sorry to hear what the postal system is doing here with these orders - it took us ten minutes with a KNIFE to get through all the bubble wraps on the bottles from NT today. What on earth are they DOING with the packages -- running them over with trucks??

To those with the broken bottles, were the ZOTZ intact?

Dislike. Was the bottle encased in 2 bubble out packages, or just one... curious?
The Strawnilla was in a double, and the CLS in a single. I shot an email with some other pics. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a pic of the bubble out before opening, since the first thing I did was open it up to see how bad the damage was, before checking the website for the policy. The order qualified for free shipping, with this showing at checkout:

Pretty sure that means it had the $50 insurance. I'm not too worried about it, cause stuff happens - you should see some of the packages I got while I was deployed. On my second tour, I was on package sorting detail each week, and got pretty good at chucking flat rate boxes the length of a shipping container.

Catching them took a bit of practice, though.

BOOM!

If we mis-packed an order we'll make it right...

All orders going forward should be packed proper, but a few were packed with a single "small" bubble out, that's not enough... The "big" ones are more than enough (showed up today)

Most companies that I've gotten glass off of use small shipping boxes. It might be what you will have to do in the long run, as I don't know if bubble wrap can really handle everything the post office can throw at it.

I'm with this guy. Sometimes my 22-year-old with developmental disabilities will open packages if I'm not here (He functions at about a 10-12 year old level) and I would be scared if he got into a broken bottle and hurt himself. I've taught and taught to not open packages, but sometimes I get him things through Amazon and he gets very excited and goes to town when he sees packages.

Just my humble opinion.

ETA: I would be willing to pay a little more for my product knowing it will get here safely and nobody would get hurt.

Simple really - put a label on the outside of the box that says "human kidney - fragile".

T

Bwahaha leave it to SuperT!!!!

I just wanted to chime in to add information to the "poll" I got my vape mail today of two 60ml glass bottles and both arrived in tact. Both bottles were double wrapped and then in a larger package of bubble wrap. Thanks Nolan!! :)

Just got my order that included 2 glass 60's and some paste. Wrapped really well. Each 60 was wrapped twice then put in a black bubble bag and then that was put into a white bubble bag. The outside of the white shipping bag looked like it was slid across the post office parking lot, but everything inside was intact except for my zots, they are mia :grr:
