Finished sanding the new pipe bowl. I'm going to thin it up next time and blend in the stem better. It needs to soak over night and I can then rub it out. Another something new, I pulled the bent mouth piece out of its mold. It's a little shorter then the straight mouth piece. I just had to do the bent mouth piece to make it look finished. Now I will have both styles when I intro the pipes this year. This is going to be my new shop pipe.:):):vapor:

Some nice pic's of the finished pipes. Almost have the G-code done for the router. Should be making production pipe bowls here soon. They sure are fun to vape. I need to make about 500 more.:):)

I am really in love with the angled design! The dark stain is beautiful as well...your talent amazes me :)

Thank you so much. I'm more of a straight pipe guy but, I have been enjoying the bent one now that I have one. There is no stain on the wood. I soak it in a clear polymer mix for 24 hours. It's a wait and see what color comes out. I think the bowl on the bent pipe is to big. If you were to hold it in your hand I think you would agree. I'm going to make a new one soon to replace it. I'll post some pics when I get it done.:)

As someone who has been looking for this level of sophistication in pipe making, I must say, this has been a beautiful process to watch. You incorporate the common equipment used by vapers (protank mini) and common problems (center pin problems) and solve them in such a way that allows the pipe to be a pipe. Thank you thank you thank you.

Now to the questions:
1. Is this fixed voltage, variable voltage, or what?
1. a. If it is fixed, is variable voltage in the works?
1. b. If not fixed, how does one adjust the voltage?
2. How did you become awesome?
3. When will purchase become an option?
4. Will the stem be available for purchase separate from the pipe?
5. Will you please take my money?

Truly wonderful work. I hope to see more soon!

Wow:)
That is some post, I thank you. Lets see if I can answer some of your questions. The pipe is a fixed voltage by design to how many ohms there is in the load circuit. 3.7 volts is max on a 2.8 ohm coil. The voltage drops from there as the ohms go down. When you go below 1 ohm it will not trigger the circuit. I did this so one could, use a number of different cartomizers and not have to adjust the pipe, just enjoy. It also helps when the battery gets low, the pipe just stops working. I don't think there will be a variable voltage in the 18350 style pipe. There are plans down the road to build pipes with larger batteries that will be adjustable voltage. Size and reliability become an issue when you go down that path. Reliability is one of my strong points when building my pipes and I will not vary from that. There is going to be some test marketing done here in the Northwest first before it goes to open market. Like any company start up, you need to know the strength of sales first. My company could become the biggest supplier of custom built e-pipes in the U.S. or it may just be a hobby. I have the means to take it either way. I have talked to a lot of people about doing a DIY kit. I think it is a very small market but, is very important. So yes, at one point in time you will be able to buy parts or a kit. Only if this whole thing turns into a full blown business. Remember, what you are seeing here is the start-up. Someday soon I hope to take your money.:D

Thank you again.

Awesome!
PM Inbound :)

I'll try to do it justice, but I've got an equal chance of falling flat on my face

I finally have an extra center post assem to put with your adaptor. I will mail it out by the end of the week. The threads have a little chatter in them but, it won't hurt a thing. It's funny, how it turns out a shiny brass color after heat treating. Takes some work to get it back to the chrome look. You can use any kind of cartomizer on the set-up. I have new centers on all my pipes. They are trouble free. Just wipe it off when you change your cartomizer. Do not sand or buff it. I hope you post your finished pipe on this thread.

Thank you for stopping by and looking around. Post a picture of your favorite pipe. I like to see all the different kinds of pipes.:)

Thank you again.

As I have been looking at this thread from the beginning, I had similar thoughts regarding a DIY kit. As I look through all the posts throughout the e-Pipe section, all I can think about is " If someone designed a drop in battery compartment with simple wiring it would be an instant success" You have the training and the know how to produce this type of "drop in" kit.

Think about it...all the people converting standard pipes to e-pipes having to solder, cut, put a ring, put a button, or wire a switch, make sure the wire is not in the way, and then to top it off...most of it is not repairable. It has to be done all over again if you get a short.

I think even the current suppliers of e-pipes would switch to your "drop in" battery product if you offered it. Think of the man hours and increase in production this offers if you don't have to do all the above listed steps.

It does not have to be the same battery holder you have now...you can make that an exclusive to your pipes. Just a battery holder possibly with a top switch built in and cap.

Just a thought, maybe I can hire you to do it for me..LOL

Your an awesome craftsman. machinist and designer. It makes me happy to know that in this world of mass production and exportation, there are still people left like you in the Great United States of America.

I will look forward to buying one of your pipes and possibly a DIY conversion kit.

Thank you sir..

You are very kind, thank you.

As I said before the DIY market, as I see it, is a small market but, I think it is very important. Input from people like you is what I need. I'm new to this whole vape thing and what I know about it you can fit in this space > ( ). Well maybe a little more then that but not much. What I can do is manufacture products like you have never seen before. I could make a battery holder that the wires ran up the sides and had set screw wire connectors. Have long leads on the adaptor so all you had to do was cut the wire to lenght, put it in the hole and tighten down the set screw. Make a twist on cap/switch combo and that would be the drop in kit. That should keep me up all night thinking. lol Pipes are my first goal then I will work into DIY kits. Sounds like you would be willing to test a kit proto-type for me.:vapor::)

On the left is Durin. Flew off to the East Coast to a little blue haired pixie. 18350 Monet Acrylic DWARF. On the right is BONZO, who left the nest and now resides with beloved Bigfoot. 18500 Obelisk Dragon by EPM in Katalox.

Jerome is in the back looking on...he neverliked those two. I miss them both, if I am honest...

Custom 18350 Calabash in dark briar by the exquisite hands of Luis Wiesenthal at labuenapipa. Last custom he ever did too. That guy is one of the wonderful people on earth and his work is stunning.
