FWIW, my preferences at the moment are
Ego with a Tru-Vapor carto
Chameleon with either of the SLBs
The Buzz with either of the SLBs
The WetBox with an E2

Happy vaping!!!

Thanks for the rundown.

E2 is a perfect fit for the Wetbox, imo. Better vapor than the 3's and 3.4's I was using... duh. ;-) with none of the filling hassle of the E2.

Best all around vapor and flavor and less refills stiill is the mega eGo atty/cart combo. The cone/atty looks better but the cylindrical mega vapes better imo.

The Bart 3.7v 14500 still has the energizer carto (mega eGo - from May) really good flavor and decent vapor - like 25 smoke rings (my standard ;-) The Provapes LR gets 30+

Lu was lookinf for 801 cartos. i hope she know about these ones.

Good memory Zelda! Yes, I was looking for the 801 cartos....but I came across the Joye Mega Cartos first and I have to say, I'm not much interested in anything else right now.

It has been a learning curve but I carry 4 devices with me....so I top off the cartos every morning and that's all I bring with me. No attys, no batts, no juice. That lasts me all day....then I top them off (a little) when I get home, basically just to refresh them (that's where the learning curve came in).

I prefer the white ones now as I can clearly see inside them.....and I don't replace any of the caps so it makes topping off pretty easy. I am a happy camper :thumb:

Even the EC2s....if I have to refill them during the day, I doubt I would use them. Really, it's all about convenience for me and I think I've finally found it.

I keep forgetting I have a Ego Mega Atty!!! Hmmm now where did I put that. Though I'm not sure I want to put that on my pretty stainless Ego :)

Ok so I am officially addicted to House. I just got done watching 10 episodes back to back. Had to take a break

Happy Vaping!!

I have confirmed the 4081 cartos are Boge and have also confirmed with Charlie, the owner of aquavapor that they finally reached an agreement with farsee to supply them the premo cartomizers with aquavapors standard liquid. These are the cartos that me and lorikay tested. But I'll have to say, the ones they have now work great and as long as you keep them wet and through them out at the first hint of a burnt taste I think they are as good as any.

This is actually good news. I was not very happy with the 4081 cartos I got from them; hard draw and very little vapor.

I got the new SLBs yesterday. I tested 5 out of the 20 I received and they tested between 2.6 -2.8 ohms. The majority, 3 of them tested 2.7 ohms. While a bit stronger than the other SLBs, I can not notice a tremendous difference in them. They are nicer on the Ego than the other SLBs, but still not as good as the Tru-Vapor cartos on the Ego.

Happy Vaping!!!

Just as I predicted. She's always the first one to get the latest toy.

Thanks, WW. 2.6-2.8Ω is not bad. I can't wait to try them. Did you order the soft or the hard caps? I wonder if they are any different.

I prefer the white ones now as I can clearly see inside them.....and I don't replace any of the caps so it makes topping off pretty easy. I am a happy camper :thumb:

Lu

Really? You can see inside the white ones? That's interesting. The most frustrating thing about those giant eGo cartos was that I couldn't see how much liquid I had left in them. I ended up weighing my cartos.

Hey Lu I agree you can't beat the Ego cartos for convenience. (Those 801 cartos are smaller than I thought). Thanks for the tip on the white ones - I never thought of that.

I do like the E2s a lot too and am using both type cartos now on an Ego. The E2s are pretty longlasting with good performace so far. :vapor::vapor:

Oh sorry, didn't mean to be confusing. When you go to fill them, you can clearly see in the top hole and the sides to see if any juice is overflowing. I don't usually have lights on (until night) so when I filled the black ones, I couldn't see anything in there. Just makes it a lot easier to see if the juice starts flowing out of the little fill hole.

My learning curves: I found if I fill them at night, they taste much better in the morning. So I am going to try something new. I'll top off 4 of them ahead of time and each day, I will swap them out each morning so they've had a day to sit after being topped off. If they seem dry, I'll just throw a few drops on top to refresh.

I'm also learning how many bottle squeezes it takes to top off, so I'm getting less leakage. That was definitely a learning curve because I was overfilling. IE, in my mods, I can easily put in 10 squeezes at the end of the day and if they don't leak, then I add 5 more, etc. But with my Mini Pipe, I have to start off with 5 squeezes because for some reason, they seem to leak more. I think that is because I don't hit on them as often because the vape is just better for me on my mods.

Just some things I've picked up along the way :)

Hmmm....I might hold my white carto up to a light today and see if I can actually see through it. I doubt it but that would be cool....lol

hey all...here's the latest news from Ross.....(Vapors Etc)
The new kr8s are the same colors as the 510s :) We are ordering some 3.3 ohm kr8s too for those who like the "cool" ones. Those also will be in the same colors, also ordered some white ones and marked with 3.3 on them so you cant get them mixed up.
(yo....mods....yes I have written permission to qoute this email from Ross :) )

also still working on the Truman 4081's...very odd....the 510's are fantastic....the KR8's are fantastic....the 4081 he sent me for a sample....terrible! I don't get it...he doesn't get it....the rep says...."must have been a dud".....one thing I do know is that until he can get a sample order of 4081's from Truman where every carto is consistently good...he won't carry them. Got an order of 20 on the way.....ya'll will be the first to know once he gets it all sorted out and has something to offer. I myself am eagerly awaiting!!! Okay...call me shallow..."SHALLOW!"......but I just love the colors on these things! Can't wait to be able to put a purple one on a Hendu battery.....or a red one on my be-jeweled Jets! Yes....I killed my Pink SmokeStik batteries dripping into the cartos.....nothing wrong with dripping into a carto perse...but I was being impatient and sloppy...would over fill them and then blow them out with compressed air...talked to Bill about it and he said the compressed air is a no-no because after you keep doing it the force of the air can widen the hole in that little plastic/silicon disk at the bottom to allow the juice to run directly into the battery when you drip. Sure enough...when I took the batteries apart to scavange the jewels they were wet inside and there was corrosion on the IC chip. Live and learn!!!!

but at least I now have a pair of beautiful black Jet batteries with jeweled LED's...yes!

I have a question about the EGO batteries and cartomizers. I wasnt sure where to post it, but figured somebody here should know the answer...

Does the whistle tip line up with the button everytime, or are all the cartos different?
I ask because I used to use a manual 510 with a whistle tip, and everytime I went to top off, i had to be sure and put the cartridge back on in line with the button. since the EGO cartomizers do not have a removable tip, I am assuming you're just stuck with however it threads on...

Does that make any sense? should I add pictures?

EDIT:

Here are pics. the 1st one is how i like the whistle tip to line up with the button. the 2nd pic is an example of what i dont like.

Kent,
How do you like those Provapes LR 1.9Ω cartos? What devices do you use them on?
Are they SLB style (Horizontal coil) or boge style (vertical coil)?

I only lost one on a Bartleby and didn't do an autopsy. The Provapes LR was originally said to be 1.5Ω - then 1.6-1.7Ω and they are too hot, imo, for a true 3.7volt batt 14500, etc. It loses flavor in the strongest flavors I vape. (note - some experieinced drippers use the LR atty with the 3.7v mods well - I don't drip.)

However they are the best, again, imo, on the eGo (@3.2-3.4v) batt with the stronger flavors - it brings them out, gets 5v vapor and I haven't burnt one out on an eGo/Tornado/Riva. My ideal carto (also Provapes atty) for vapor and flavor on the eGo. But not for duration - that goes to the mega eGo atty/cart combo (easier to fill than the mega eGo carto and the same volume - 2.5ml). They can go for 4 to 5 hours if needed but I still keep everything just below flooding, so I top off as needed - ie. first sign of flavor loss.

There are 3 cases where I know they didn't. One on a Riva, one on an Tornado (mine) and another eGo. It's a misalignment of the threading (or the body onto the threading). In my case, there was also no contact with the center post. What I did was use the 'staple mod' and it fixed everything. The staple gave enough gap that when tight the flat tip aligned with the button and the staple made the connection. A hassle but I ended up cutting the skirt on that one and putting it on a Bart where it fit fine.

Hi guys, time for a daily update. I'm getting frustrated with my single-voltage devices and I'm ready to try the Little Sister. Any advice? I figure if Spikey likes it...

You girls exchange toys. Don't you? :D

Any 510 SLBs in that range?

We do. We like to share because we are nice. We also pass notes. ;-)

No, but if you ask Isaac at IkenVape nicely, he will select the 2.6Ω ones for you. Just mention that in the comments section. Tell him that Katya made you do it. :p

He's a sweetheart. :)

Lorikay, dear, the 510s are inconsistent too. I got one box of duds a couple of weeks ago, bad taste, burning, I thought it was just a QC issue; remember I mentioned there was something wrong with the tan cartos. Now there's trouble with another box, this time the black ones. I'm going to email Ross and report. When those Trumans are good, they are great, but when they are bad...

This is a very irritating design flaw, IMHO. I can never align my eGo carto on my batteries and that causes me great aggrevation. I think they should be redesigned; the whistle tip should be removable and adjustable; and those two little pieces inside should become one part that comes off easily, creating a larger/more convenient opening to the reservoir, thus allowing for easy refills with regular drip-tip bottles. The needles are a pain.

And that plastic cup at the bottom should be ceramic and the wicking material should be retested. I (and a lot of other people) still get that funky, chemical smell that comes from that area (not burning, more like melting plastic.) I crushed and sniffed every eGo cartomizer that went bad. :glare: [Scott was right, as usual.]

Have a good week, y'all.

Yankee:

You may want to take my advice with a grain of salt being as how I have not been able to use video cams with audio for many years now due to blindness; however, have you attempted to update the driver or searched through the net for one that may be better suited albeit not necessarily recommended or built specifically for your video cam?

in the days when I was able to use video cams, I had to do that with a few different cams I used over the course of time. It is not so much an issue now, of course although my notebook came with a video cam built into the system but it is rather useless for me. The 1-2 times I attempted to use it, my cousin and a friend on the other end said that I constantly moved in and out of the frame and the lighting was not bright enough to bring in my picture. The trouble with the lighting is something I cannot readily control. I still retain light perception most days though it is completely hazy at best... imagine trying to see through a gadget built from two drinking straws for the glass part of eye glasses and the straws being cut short (say a couple inches at most) and then covering the two straws with Saran Wrap. That is the best explanation I can give with regards to what I physically see.

Of course, there are times when I am in familiar areas, such as home or at my MILs or even a store that doesn't move it's items around all the time (we have a couple where I live that do not move their inventory around b/c they know that it makes it impossible for me to find what I am searching for so they are gracious enough to leave the floor plan the same. IF they MUST change something, an employee catches me the moment I come in the door in order to escort me around allowing me to familiarize myself with the changes so that upon my next trip, I will not trip over the new outlay or even fall into it, which I have been prone to doing on a few occasions over the years as my sight diminished to what it is today. But I digress...

Perhaps an alternative driver or even taking the option of allowing the video cam to work on a backwards compatible version of windows may help. There is a place within the operating system that allows one to set a piece of hardware or even software to work as if it where running under Vista, XP, or Windows ME. It helps to change this on certain hardware and/or software. Maybe it will work for you.

I hope this helps... I truly do. I know what it is like to be irritated with computer hardware and software. A few years ago my oldest child upgraded my computer to Vista Ultimate without my knowledge. It was a gift and I was thankful for it; however, in upgrading my operating system, it made my screen reader software (software that reads the text and alternative text if included in graphics for those who suffer from mid to low-partial sight to no sight; I fight in the categories between low to no partial sight)... I had to made a few calls to get an upgrade in order to make the screen reader work. I was off the computer for something like 3 days before the update to the software came in but it worked and it still works today though I have had to upgrade again to make it work with Windows 7. It came with the notebook my DH's family bought me for Christmas after my former computer went kurplunk.

Best of wishes,

Paise

PS: You are not alone when you have those feelings of tossing your computer across the room. I've threatened to throw mine out a window or two and even threatened to throw it at my fireplace once as it was giving me so much trouble it would have made better kindling for the fireplace than as a computer LOL!

The 'solution' is to get the mega eGo atomizer and cartridges instead - no plastic situation, same volume. It really is like the cartomizer with a removable and adjustable flat tip ;-)

Ohh if we get caught passing notes, will we have to stay after school and get spanked?
