We have a Drug Emporium here and it is with the "natural" products for skin care.
I've changed my mind!
I spent 55 years as a smoker huffing as much smoke (one PAD) as I could. I knew that there were some 4000 chemicals in each puff. I knew that my mother had lung cancer never having smoked a single cigarette in her life. I knew that my sister and her husband both died from emphysema . (I bear guilt for that because I smoked with them in the room). I know all this and yet I still smoked. I was hopelessly addicted! Until a relative turned me on to ecigs. I have been stinky free for a year.
I know what I put into my body over those 55 years and I don’t intend to do it again. I’m a DIYer and the idea of buying PG from a Tractor Supply Company bothers me. The idea of buying VG intended as a skin protestant bothers me. Questioning this grade vs. that grade seems foolish. I don’t think I save THAT much money.
I now value what I put into MY body and the bodies of the people I supply with juice. I buy VG/PG from reputable online labs (read: Wizard Labs) who take steps to supply the highest quality products and whom I trust . To me, it’s just not worth the cost savings to buy locally from Tractor Supplies and Walmart.
Of course, the flavorings I add to my DIY are an unknown factor, but I choose not to use certain chemicals. It’s a crap shoot.
Basically, it’s a matter of risk/reward. I choose not to buy locally. Bottom line, the money saved is not worth the risk taken by possibly endangering myself and others and buying ingredients locally.
We all have to make and be responsible for our own decisions. I have made mine in a thoughtful and not knee-jerk way.
I checked Wizard Labs and the cost for a gallon is approximately $38 ($9.49/ 500ml), PG or VG. I don't think that's very expensive at all. I think the glycerine is cheaper than Walmarts.
Let's not be penny wise and pound foolish. Good Luck in your DIY experiences.
