A PBusardo Review - The Provari V2 - Provape - YouTube
Here is a Provari review from a person that I think gives the best all around reviews.

A PBusardo Review - The Buzz Pro VV Mod from NotCigs - YouTube
The Buzz Pro. This will give you any and all info you seek.

Watched both from start to finish.
I think after watching, the Buzz is the best way to go.
Maybe I'll get a Provari next year with my tax returns.
But for now,as a newbee who's never owned an E cig,except a disposable Blu purchased a Walgreens.
I think the Buzz is a better way to start.
Too much going on with the Provari.

Either or is a great choice, and judging by the reading I've been doing in the notcigs forum section, I'm certain you'll be very pleased with a buzz pro. May I ask what has you set on a tube mod?

VV Feeders are out there and provide extra features in the same price range. Have you ever considered a feeder? You might look at the VVPV when you visit notcigs website to place your buzz pro order.

Also mentionable for your Buzz Pro, use the search box for the coupon code to notcigs to save a few dollars. He has one worth 7.5% for people who learn about his products on ECF.

I hear ya. If the buzz is your second pv then your doing it rite no matter what. I only use the power up, down, or power off on mine. Its too new to worry about battery life. Ohms does me no good. If it vapes well, no need to worry about resistance. Im on my third pv starter kit.

They are both very loved tube mods and there has been loads of relatively objective answers here, imo.

It's funny, only one person mentioned the actual buttons, and only for the Provari Button.

I love the Pro-vari button.

I've only just visited a Buzz for a few minutes---I disliked it's button and loved the colors.

It's interesting how sometimes it's the smallest thing that helps us in our decisions.

I really like the wheel and can see how inticing that is. But I just gotta say, having the ability to check ohms right on the mod is A+.

I was suprised pbusardo didnt like the button . THat one of my fav things about the provari . Its so soft and smooth. Its plenty clicky as well only difference it it does make a loud clicky tactile switch sound .Its clicks nice and smoothly. Its also very responsive.

Provari will likely catch up soon, but notcigs was first through the gate on meeting the ecf tube mod standard, it appears: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo.../274600-safe-metal-tube-mods.html#post5470115

How is the Provari not as safe as a Buzz ? The Provari has like 4 safety features and is a vented tube. If a battery did vent i would want it to vent out the bottom then out the side . Both are safe mods and id trust either one 100% but the Provari has a few more safety backups. Also has a power off function and various other protection features

On/Off Mode
You can put the ProVari in standby mode so it will not turn on the atomizer when the button is pressed.
This safety feature prevents the atomizer from turning on while it's in your pocket or bag and it prevents any settings from getting changed without you knowing.

16 Second Cutoff
If the button is held down for 16 seconds or longer, the ProVari will shut itself off until the button is released.
If you forget to turn it off before storing it in your pocket or bag, this protects you and prevents the device from activating.

Short Circuit/Atomizer Protection
This protects the ProVari against shorted atomizers/cartomizers.

If this error occurs the ProVari will alert you by displaying E1 on the digital display.
Fix: Remove the atomizer or cartomizer and replace with a different one.

Reverse Battery Protection
Protects against reverse battery installation.

Battery Monitoring/Over-Discharge Protection
The ProVari monitors the battery voltage and will automatically turn off when the battery is discharged.

Amperage Limiting to 3.5 amps
The ProVari will monitor and shut itself off if it detects any excessive over-current conditions.

Thermal Monitoring
Shuts the device off if it detects a high temperature condition.
Once the device cools off, it will resume normal operation.

If this error occurs the ProVari will alert you by displaying E3 on the digital display.
Fix: Let the device cool off for several minutes before using again.

I think that may be the most safety/protection than any PV . I could be wrong though. Anyway you look at it either one is a good choice and i would rock either one even both. Theres not many other VV tube mods. The provai is well woth the extra money for all its awesome features/display and great machining . Everyone is different . I personally like a Ipod over a walkman but some people like the ease of turning a knob over a display and menu system.

Str8, what I said was they were first through the gate on meeting the standard for tube PVs. That is a simple fact, external reality.

Do I believe the Provari is a safe mod? Sure, it is certainly up there. Then again, I'm also totally comfortable with my existing buzz pro. The existing BP has 3 symmetric vent holes near the bottom, and the bottom cap is 19mm diameter delrin, effectively a large blowout plug.

As I've said elsewhere, like you I agree that either of them are really, really good PV, you can't go wrong buying one or the other, it depends on what features someone prefers :)

I went with the ProVari over the Buzz Pro for the following reasons:
1.
Ability to set specific voltage (X.Xv instead of 1/4 past green).
2. Multimeter functions without needing to remove batteries/cartos, though I'll still be testing batteries straight off the charger before they hit my mod.
3. Single battery mod. At first I mostly just had concerns about safety with stacked batteries. After doing a ton of research, it's changed into more of a convenience thing...I only need two batteries to have one actively in use and allow for one backup, instead of four to have a backup. Less storage space, charging juggle, etc.

Now on the flip side, looking at reasons why it was really difficult for me to look away from the Buzz Pro:
1.
No fuss volt changes with the flick of a thumb.
2. It looks much better than a ProVari IMO. Brass caps, blue body? I'm there.
3. Cost looks better at $129 than $199.95.

I set up an order for both, and really this is where I made my decision. I was staring the checkout buttons in the face, browser windows side by side.

Buzz Pro: $168.95 - ProVari: $198.90

I don't have a ton of money, actually my wife got a notice about two weeks back that she'll be laid off at the end of the month, so it's pretty important at this point to get big purchases taken care of and keep smokes out of the equation. I don't know why I got the bug up my ... to go for a mod in the first place, probably something to do with being an idiot and frying my KGO switch and deciding if I have to pay $20 for a battery, I might as well spend $150 or so for a mod that I can replace batteries cheaply in (my wife loves that argument). I started this search looking for a VV device that will last a while and be easy on the budget...I quickly found out there really wasn't any way to combine the words "lasting" and "cheap". So when it came to those two prices in the cart with the same options ordered (mod + charger + one battery/set to power the device and one battery/set as backup) and an overall difference of only $29.95, I left looks on the sideline and went with what would do more to make my life easy.

I do believe voltage changes are astronomically easier on the Buzz Pro, there's no denying it. It's not so much a question of easy as it is quick, and the BP wins there. But factoring in carting around extra batteries and a multimeter to test levels, that's what really made my mind up for me.

Everybody has their own most important issue, mine was convenience without sacrificing performance...though the part of me screaming for brass caps and a blue body almost won out.

Don't forget the "ECF Buzzkill" 7.5% standard discount :)

Either is an excellent PV, it truly depends on which features you prefer. I absolutely like what I use, but that doesn't make the other product any less good. The important thing is understanding what the differences are, then making the choice as to which is right for you. They are both rugged, dependable, high performance PVs.

Pretty sure it does apply -- it's the general ECF discount, just make sure you use both words, space between them.

I posted a thread in the PIF area, a fairly low cost "DIY" carto punch, when you get the tank. All it is is a $5 hub from Drillspot, and some 1/4-20 mirror sheet metal screws (I include links on where to get them). I used a dremel to slot for months, tried several of the popular self-piercing saddle valves, the thing I posted works easier, is overall less hassle than the saddle valves IMO.

I am ready to move up from my Echo to a VV mod and could use some help making my decision.

I've just starting to look at the Mini Provari, Buzz Pro and the IPro. Then I saw a post on the Buzz Pro II and IPro Infinity. I'm a little confused now. Is the BP II and IPro Lightening new products that aren't available yet? When will they be available? I love the lightening bolt design! I also like the ease of the Buzz vv mods. I am not technical and want something very easy to use.

Now for what you will probably think of as a silly question. I want to move up to a vv and these are looking good to me. but......being a petite woman I don't want a massive cigar tube that makes me look like a truck driver! Which mod would you recommend for me?:confused:

The Provari is super small . Its the size of my middle finger exactly . The Provari mini which is even shorter would probably be like the length of my thumb and i have small hands. To show measurement the provari mini would be the length of a credit card and thickness of a quarter.Even with the extention cap on the regular provari its smaller then a droid or iphone in length.

Youd probably get the best advise picking if you posted your question on a more equal playing field . Since this is a Buzz forum you will always get more buzz fans here. Provari fans dont always go in the buzz forum.Id say the Provari of your going for looks . Its pretty.I never liked the ipro because of its long length and non standard battery size.
