I think the Cthulu mini is great too. I like had to carefully tuck it away somewhere because they're awfully grudging with the grub screws. I need the husband to screw one back in.

To be fair, you get NO extra "weird bits" on the True tank and I have successfully like, unscrewed it all the way and sent one flying, but it's a bit easier to find.

I'm gonna start using the husband's metal detector at some point. Grub screws. I still think there's a market in the "disability" category for like a lug nut you shove on the end of one.... To prevent total unscrewment.

I am also somewhat doubtful a metal detector would "locate" a single grub screw. But it might be fun to try....

Your right about the disability front. I've been able to pit together some set ups before for those with dexterity issues using the "wanko" (yeah, I know) rda as it has coils like a cylindrical fuse that simply clip into place and using cotton with the lace ends for easy wicking. About time a few more choices in the tank dept offered this.
The old praxis mod was great for the partially sighted vaper as the wattage, ohms and voltage was displayed in lighting across the mod, which was an excellent idea.

Keep those wicks short. Martyn of manabush sussed that one off the bat.
If the wicks are too long it either wicks poorly or seeps.
I've manabush son of chich in mine currently.
I did not get on with the diffused airflow on the prime but the new lite is bloody good indeed.

Definitely a good call regarding those wicks, thank you very much. I have them about 1/3 of the way down the channels now and had no further issues. The longer wicks were likely causing slight seeping but I'm still not convinced the top fill was completely closed when it leaked that one time.

All in all its a good tank. My only real minor nitpicks are the very stiff top fill mechanism on mine and the overall capacity even with the bubble glass. Ideally want 4ml or more. But for £25 it's something of a bargain.

I'm in two minds about the new Kayfun Lite. 3.5ml capacity for the 24mm version is a plus (prefer 22mm in general) with the potential to go up to 5ml with the extension. I have no issues with the airflow adjustment screw or the removal of juice flow control but I really don't like bottom fill tanks and at this stage of vaping it seems a bit like going backwards. The way I see it's going to be pretty much the same kind of vape as the Prime for me. Only real advantage is the fact it's £30 cheaper. Might still consider it if I have to place an order since I always seem to be needing replacement Prime parts from Svoemesto.

Excellent news.
Mtl vaping is a very personal thing. The small differences matter at low wattage.
I didn't get on with the prime at all. The lite however is excellent.
You see I got used to the dvarw for certain juices so compared to that the lite is simplicity itself.
I really find top fill often throws up more issues in the long run.
You can however get the steam tuners top fill tank for it if you prefer.
Had an email from creme de vape about it last week. They do a full extension and tip fill kit too.
Glad your enjoying the true.
I'm testing the updated full size cthulhu hastur currently with some pow wow and very good it is too. Not a drop has leaked in a week, so not bad at all.

I know exactly what you mean but I can't say I have any complaints about vape quality from the Prime. My issue with it is machining quality which might sound odd considering the manufacturer. But I've had the screws break often, the 510 snap in half, the positive block break and to me it feels far less durable than the K5. In fact every recent Kayfun I've used has always had some seepage eventually that occurs between the AFC ring and the bottom hexagonal plate. Plus at present the whole tank feels extremely loose after cleaning and the insulator under the positive pin is no longer the best of fits, I really need to take a good look and see what's up with it. At this point from a far less faff point of view the Lite has some appeal.

I think if I were to get the Lite I'd go 24mm (see you're causing shinyitus just by talking about it) simply for 3ml base capacity and get the extension. Creme de vape are really good vendors but since I need specific parts for my Prime which they don't stock I'll probably order direct from Svoemesto even though DHL shipping hurts.

Is that the 3.5ml Hastur you're looking at? I actually extremely picky about pow wow and only vape it in the GP Heron 1.5 or Taifun GT III. Coyote, omusa, mojave are fine to me in most atties but with pow wow it's a question of whether I want more tobacco and custard or more biscuit and sweeter maple. It varies depending on my mood... as I said picky vaper. :)

I'm the same with manabush.
Nanabhozo is my main poison and I use the cthuhu mini 's and kf lite (previous to that I used purely the strike 18rda as after the kayfun v3 I'd lost hope with rta's). But for nana I found the cthulhu did not let it shine (particularly after the reformulation).
I used the heron v1.5 for a long time prior but was getting precious about it and wouldn't allow it out the house. I was getting precious about mods and tanks alike so I had a cull and switched to mods, rda's and tanks nice enough to feel classy but ultimately replaceable at the end of the month if dropped.
Gave the heron away in a giveaway to launch the indigene range.

I'm the same, my heron never leaves home but then I wouldn't get rid of mine either, I'm a regular little Gollum with it, extremely gentle when building it and I won't ever be parted from my... precious! Of course I have to face the fact that one day it's going to inevitably break and with Vaporart now out of the picture I won't be able to fix it. The same story applies to my GT III since Smokerstore have moved on and provide very few aftermarket GT III parts. As such high end gear to me has lost some of it's shiny appeal and I can certainly live with breaking a £25 RTA far more than I can breaking a £130 one. Especially if you consider the more hard to get ones that mean selling your soul on facebook, finding the secret group in the first place, doing the special handshake to get in and giving away your first born child as a down payment to get on the list. Who honestly wants to put up with that faff? ;)

I think what most of us are looking for judging by the comments on this thread is consistency and also value for money. The first can certainly be difficult to find if you like a specific type of draw, or a particular juice that only delivers all the background notes and makes you really appreciate it's complicated mix in a specific RTA such as Pow wow or Nanabhozo. It does explain why some here have stocked up on multiple Doggy Style RTA's, Cthulhu Minis or EH Pro True, because you may never see their like again due to the market being so changeable. My main concern is that companies abandon this recent resurgence of MTL and go back to their previous sub ohm overkill airflow obsession or keep pushing abysmal dual coil tanks with single coil options which offer a sub standard vape in that configuration and are not all MTL tanks no matter how much their marketing might spin it. I think what I'm saying is perhaps stocking up for the potential apocalypse or drought is a wise decision, its just a question of which RTA.

Spot on.
It's a shame with so many vape shops now in the UK that so few offer the full range of tanks to sample.
I've a few cthulhu full size tanks, four mini 's and one of each of the new kf lites (22 & 24mm) and a couple of true's.
I still hold onto a bunch of nautilus's too, just in case.
I'm rather partial to all of these and would definitely grab more if they start to disappear. The extra single hole deck for the cthulhu mini is worth picking up too.
I'm more worried about manabush keeping going as the market is so diluted for juice here as you know. Business is thin on the ground for top quality juice.
I'm down to my last half a dozen boxes of pf fog too. Sad times.

Yeah that's really a stock sourcing issue. Even a lot of the UK online vendors can be that way and get only a few new RTA's or RDA's in stock and then when someone heaps gushing praise on them you decide to look and never find them in stock ever again. Vape shops near me only carry entry level gear, overpriced juice and a few dodgy clones so I never bother with them.

The mini nautilus rocks to this day! I have a few coils left and I'm saving it till I'm old and senile and lose the ability to coil stuff. :D I hope Manabush continues going since Martyn is a great guy and really cares about quality. For tobacco vapes he is still my number one choice, Drake's NET is nice as is Druid's Brew, and so was House of Liquid of old but Manabush as you know does way more with the juice than offer a straight up tobacco vape. For that kind of quality I don't mind paying a little more (not that Manabush is that expensive) and I think that's the same with most of his customers. Even if I can't afford it all the time I still buy it when I can as a treat to myself. I would hope he isn't struggling because he deserves to do well. I think the market dilution of late is simply a knock on affect of the ridiculous TPD and the new short fills. It's become more cost effective for some companies to start up and all that new choice is going to affect sales of long established vendors. And lets face it some people out there simply won't even care about nuances of juice and are only interested in acceptable flavour and volume for money, for many others it's all about the clouds.

In a way I think perhaps you and I are trapped in the old ways in part due to how long we've vaped. It's not so much of it being habitual but more a case of us having very specific expectations. It's almost as if MTL vaping has unintentionally become some elitist thing to be enjoyed which is why we've become so fussy about it, but at least the price of entry is significantly less than it once was.

Absolutely.
I do salute vandy vape for having the guts to put out the berserker. It really opened the flood gates.
I do vape a few liquids is restricted lung and wide open silly when testing and young Lee of prime vapes (ex dripworx) is the fella for this stuff, Cotswold vapour too.
I'd be lost without martyns manabush. I do enjoy druids brew (mrs wings actually helped with the naming of the recent grey Mari) hopefully will catch up with the druids brew at the avebury festival this year. I did really love house of vapes but the quality let me down. So much better now georgio has taken back the reigns.
I really would struggle to find an adv if manabush ever stopped. Considering when I started, the cheapest Chinese juice could be bought for three for a tenner. Manabush is pretty much the same price now but folk expect juice for pennies with the amount of shortfill bathtub brewers and Euro "vat, o juice"
Drakes is excellent as is the Californian black note. No manabush though, there's simply nothing like it around.
Which reminds me... tonight is order night, I may treat to some chich as well for a change.

getting my true RTA in the next couple of days and have enjoyed having a read through some of this thread.
have heard from a few sources that it's reasonably tricky to wick so i shall see how i get on.
planning on pairing it with the provari mini i just got (once i figure that out also...have managed to adjust the voltage at least...).
will try a new DIY 12mg mix too as i wasn't terribly fond of my last recipe.

So my True just suddenly stopped a couple of days ago. Little wisps of vapour, next to nothing. When I turned up the temp it started tasting burnt. Resistance hadn't changed at all so I figured maybe I had burned off one of the wick tails.

Pulled the deck to take a look. Everything looked fine. Put it back together and voila! perfect vape again. Not sure what happened but I'm assuming it was vapor locked. I did drop it (onto a carpet) so maybe that messed up the vacuum.

Has this happened to anyone else? I haven't had this problem before with any of my atomizers so I'm curious what folks have experienced.

I found it quite easy to wick, and I'm not careful with my wicking. Snip it, shove it, wet it, & vape it. It's been fine so far (touch wood).

I just rewicked mine because I was getting dry hits. IDK about vapor lock though I just overwicked it. It is now Officially Awesome again.

Anna
what size coil do you use? ive been using 2mm and still trim off or thin the wick ends. could too much cotton in your wick ports be causing vapor lock? ive never experienced it on my true.
