Ok I actually spilt 4ML of 16MG E-juice from JC on my bare leg the other night, I have hardwood floors and not even a drop fell on the floor, I looked really good because I was freaking out and didnt want my dog to lick some up or something...anyway...I didnt notice anything at all, no buzz or anything...

13mL of 16mg juice all on your bare leg? I ordered mostly 16mg juice, so I guess I'm not as worried about spilling it on myself anymore. Thanks.

I got some in my eye today (because I'm dumb like that). Was topping off a cart, then had an eyelash fall into my eye. Without even thinking (remember, I'm incredibly idiotic in this story) I went to get the lash out of my eye and OMG can I just tell you that PS's "fierce" Riskee is aptly named? The pain and burning was FIERCE let me tell you!!!! I hadn't realized it but rubbing your eye with that on your finger can be risky too!

It hurt so bad I couldn't open my eyes for a good minute. I frantically began searching my bag for eye drops to rinse my eye out with. (With my eyes closed, while screaming. Helen Keller-style Burger King freakout...DH couldn't figure out what the hell was wrong with me.) By the time I found the eye drops, the burning had subsided and I was tearing up but otherwise okay.

Obviously I lived to tell the tale but I do not recommend trying this at home, kids. I am usually fastidious about washing hands after touching any juice - this was just a freak accident moment today and again...I feel so stupid for doing it, I nearly didn't want to share it. :) But I got 36mg nic juice on a very thin mucous membrane right smack dab next door to my (3 remaining) brain cells and I think I'm okay.

So the moral of the story? 36mg juice, applied directly to eyeball will not kill you. It will, however, burn like the dickens. I do not recommend replicating this experience.

I used to bleach my hair blonde and I think some of the blonde soaked into my scalp and caused residual brain damage. I have no other explanation for allowing myself to do something so completely stupid!!!!

Hi everyone, I have been reading this forum for a while now. I just started e smoking a week ago, everythings been great. I love it. I want to thank you all for your posts and reviews. They've been great and very informative. :)

My problem at the moment is, I just spilled about half a bottle of 18ml(not all of it got on me) on myself8-o. I went to pick up the bottle to drip and I had inadvertantly left the cap loose the last time I used it:oops:. The bottle fell to the floor and I quickly grabbed it to save what was left and got it all over my hand. I immediately washed it off, but now I'm getting paranoid. Does this sound like it could be a problem?

Thank you in advance for any responces.

Everyone is always freaking out about the nicotine, I've even seen Spikey use gloves handling it, but I got over 1mL of 24mg in my mouth once, and liquid chemicals/drugs (or drugs soluble in liquid) get absorbed under your tongue within a second or two because of the thin tissue and all the blood vessels, yet I didn't experience any negative effects.

If you're wondering how the hell I managed to get over 1mL in my mouth at once, I tried to make this contraption that would allow me to vape constantly without having to change the cartridge, but instead of the liquid in the reservoir slowly wicking into the poly-fill, it got quickly sucked into my mouth all at once on the first draw.

Damn, that woulda scared this **** outa me! I'm such an idiot, I have spilled a bunch on me 2 days in a row. I mentioned in prior posts about yesterday. That was bad enough, but today I pulled a real doosy. I have this little bottle I've been using. It came out of a contact lens kit. It's somewhere between 5-10 ml. I've been filling it with JC juice. Anyhow... I was driving today and my cart ran dry, so I pull out the cart, grabbed the bottle, twisted off the top to reveal the dropper and commenced dripping. But I hadn't been paying attention , I had accidentally unscrewed both caps, so the bottle was wide open. By the time I looked down to see what I was dripping, the whole bottle was on my hand8-o. So I quickly grabbed my beany cap and wiped off what I could. I had to drive a few blocks in bumper to bumper traffic to get to a gas station so I could go in and wash my hands. Luckily, once again, I suffered no adverse reactions. Maybe I should stick to just vaping e-cigs.:nah:

Peace

Lethal measures of nicotine are expressed for ingestion, not transdermal absorption. Some on your skin won't kill you -- unless you have unusual sensitivity.

But here's something to really think about. In the U.S., toy parts can't be small enough for a three-year-old to swallow. Ever see warnings on boxes to that effect? Now, take a good look at the cartridge for a mini cig. My penstyle cart is fine; it would choke me. But a mini? That's a size a child might swallow. And that tiny cart can easily contain enough nicotine solution to be fatal.

Question for suppliers? How would a first responder know if a child had swallowed one of your cartridges? And if a box was nearby, does the box clearly state that deadly nicotine levels are inside your carts? No? Well, they should be remedied then before government forces this valid issue.

The 'child resistant' regulation is very near and already being enforced in the UK. 3 cigarettes could be dangerous to a child if eaten but they avoid regulation in many areas because they have been in use for so long. Vaping is set to be one of the major world wide changes in social behaviour but it won't be without opposition.
Alan.

What I can't stand is the fact that there are so many people who say that the juice is "pure nicotine"... Which is why people are freaking out over having spilled some on their hands or whatever.

Pure nicotine is some serious stuff. Poisonous - A killer even!

However, it has been diluted so much that there is as much danger in it as say.... spit from a dipper.

How many of you know someone who dips or spits? I know several (I'm in Louisiana, its the law to be related to at least one person who can use a spittoon accurately from a distance)...My family has the lovely tale to tell at family gatherings about how I drank from my uncle's spit cup thinking it was Coke. And I LIVED! Must have been a miracle. :/

I spilt about 20 ml on my bare feet of 24mg fluid from totally wicked. Was in the kitchen at the table filling carts and I hadn't screwed the dropper on all the way...even though I thought I had. Well... I picked up the bottle by the dropper top, not the bottle, which made the glass tube knock over the bottle exactly 90 degrees and everything came out onto my foot... which was soaked in a puddle of about 27mg of fluid. I ran into the bathroom to wash it off in the tub. Nothing though, no buzz. My heart was racing but I think that was due to the fact I was certain an overdose situation was on it's way home. I'm sure only Intentional suicide by eliquid is the only way you're gonna die from the stuff. Maybe if you got your hands on pure nicotine, for instance if you decided to be an eliquid home chemist... and you spilt one drop on your skin of pure nicotine... it would still probably not kill you, just make you very very sick. Totally wicked's 36mg formula contains 36mg of Nicotine per 1ml of fluid and it is the highest they sell on the site... on the back it says something like less than 6% nicotine. So we'll take into consideration then that 6 percent of 30mg is pure nicotine. Thats 1.8ml of pure nicotine in 30ml of other product... meaning 1080mg nicotine per bottle. If 1ml = 36mg nicotine in ejuice dilluted (1080 divided by 30 = 36), then 1ml of pure nicotine solution would be 1080 divided by 6% of 30 (or 1.8)=600mg per 1ml. 1ml is around 20-30 drops... then divided 600 by 20... at most would be 30 mg per drop on your skin... still not enough to kill you since skin absorbtion would be too slow compared to ingestion to actually kill you... also noting that pure nictoine is a very syrupy/salty grainy mix... it would be like pouring sugar and pancake syrup on your arm drop by drop... However, vomiting and all the yummy stuff that comes with nicotine poisoning would prove to be very unpleasant and... you probably wouldnt want to drop that onto your skin.

I don't know, perhaps I read too much into this? Just a thought.
