I understand the entire e-cig communities need to distance "
vaping" from traditional smoking in the publics eyes, but to me any word with "vape" in it carries a lot of herbal connotations if you catch my drift. Like if I were to tell people who asked me "What kinda contraption is that in your hand?", and I tell them "Oh, well it's why personal vaporizer!" Honestly, doesn't that sound a little funky? Maybe I've just been linguistically contaminated from being around regular vaporizers i.e. volcano, vapor brothers (stick your
ejuice in those and get a REAL throat hit! haha!)
Hows about a smokeless cigarette? i know that's lame, but type "Vape" or "Vaporizer" in google and you'll find that the majority of the results are (a'hem) herbal related... The words been taken! and I personally don't think it's quite the right view that we'd want portrayed to the public for ecigs to gain full acceptance and to be deemed 'acceptable' in places where analogs are banned... to my understanding ecigs still remain in a grey zone - You can vape anywhere only because its still so new that no laws have been passed to restrict where you use it
