I see this a lot, but it isn't true for me. My PV is the first thing I grab when I wake up and I am not fully awake until I get my fill of nic, just like with cigarettes. I still get nic fits. There are times when it seems like it takes longer before I reach the nic fit stage, but we're talking a difference of maybe 30 minutes. I definitely can't go hours.

I have no doubt there are plenty of people who are highly addicted to nicotine.
For every five people who notice a decrease in their need for nicotine, there is likely one that doesn't.

Mine has been a slow decline in amount, when I started I was chain vaping 10-12 ml a day just like I chain smoked 3 packs a day. After about 6 months I dropped from 18 mg to 6-8mg still using 10-12 ml a day. Just recently realized I hadn't ordered juice in a long time and checked how much I was using per day, I'm down to 5-6 ml a day and hadn't even noticed. I have to say nicotine by itself is not as addictive as it is burned in a cigarette......... as he looks at his 5 vvbox mods with tanks that he rotates through all day.

Since my new job keeps me busy and I only get two chances to vape at work per day ... I haven't had any serious cravings for nicotine even though I would vape all the time before.

I do fine I'm thirsting as heck when I get off of work though. Need to start bringing a water bottle with me since I don't really take water breaks.

It has been around a month since I starting vaping again. At first it was difficult and went through tobacco withdrawals for several days. The beauty of it was I could get through it with the e-cig. It wasn't fun but it was tolerable. Now I have noticed that I can take a walk, take a drive etc and leave the e-cig at home. There is not that panic moment when I realize I don't have it on me. Granted these are short outings but I would have never done this with ciggy's. I would almost freak out if I didn't have them on me at all times.

It's a great feeling and I am glad I tried again with the right equipment after a few failed attempts. Love this stuff and I am glad this forum is around for support.

Yes, I can go longer without nicotine than I did when I smoked 10 months ago. When I feel the need for nicotine it's a much less urgent craving, too. I lowered the nicotine level of my juice a couple of times without changing my daily vape rate of about 2 ml. per day. The lower my nicotine level, the easier it gets to go extended periods without vaping.

I like the fact that I can puff just what I want. We only have a ten min break at work and you would have to power puff to try to get at least 2 cigs smoked and most of the time you was trying to snub out half a cig to save for later so you wouldn't waste it. All I have to do is throw my battery back in my case.

I can take a few vapes here and there over a period of time, unlike with the analog having to smoke the whole thing and then sometimes lighting up an other with in 5 mins.
I dont have the panic for nic that I used to. as long as I see my PV sitting on the table it seems to calm me. When I do get a pang for nicotine I just take a few vapes and its gone.

Absolutely. I find myself forgetting to vape for a few hours in the morning. When I smoked, it was the FIRST thing I did when I got out of bed. Now, after my morning routine of about an hour or so I find myself remembering that I have a PV that needs attention. I also vape less at work compared to my smoking. I used to take 4 - 5 smoke breaks every day at work, as that was all I could get in without trouble. Now, I sometimes go most of the work day without vaping. At home that is another issue all together. I vape like a chimney and love it.

my smoking co-workers tend to go out for a break every hour or so during the day. I used time my breaks and lunch to a workable smoke schedule...work 2 hours-break- work 2-lunch- work 2 -break- work 2-done. Now after 3 years, if I am busy enough..five houRs before the nic urge hits..and sometimes I "forget" for several hours after I get home. This is a definite plus.

Vaping for me is not as urgent for me as smoking was.... I noticed that some time in the first year. If I left the house without my cigarettes I would definitely have to stop and buy some, usually as soon as I realized it... if I leave without my PV I am like 'Oh, OK'.... not a big deal... seldom crosses my mind if I am somewhere I don't vape, like on an airplane....... I love it...... sitting here at the computer it is almost constant hand to mouth though......

Definitely less dependence on it. I pretty much chain-vape 0-12 mg when I'm relaxing-watching TV, reading, posting on ECF, etc., but when I'm busy running around, I forget to vape for hours. I used to have to take a smoke break when I was cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, whatever, but now I carry it with me so I can pull it out, take a vape and go back to what I was doing, but I usually forget to use it.

When I'm in a meeting, on a car ride, on an airplane, or anywhere else that used to drive me crazy when I smoked, I'm relaxed now because just knowing that I could stealth in the nearest rest stop or ladies' room means I don't have to. Feeling panicky about when I could have my next smoke made me smoke more and made me smoke when I didn't really want one--that whole, "Better have one while I can" feeling. Now all that is gone. No more panic.

I wonder how much of it is hand-to-mouth at this point or the same as not being able to stop eating something delicious even when you are full?

Yep, there's no morning cigarette within 5 minutes after waking up anymore.
There's no "stress-type give me cigarette now" going inside my head anymore.

On the dark side there's that I'm admin, sitting most of the day in front of pc... so yeah, I chainvape like a train...
Luckily I discovered dripping for myself, consumption of juice is way down now. And I sometimes feel too lazy to drip so I just look at pv :D
