Sure @SmokeyJoe I'll get involved. Those taxes could wipe everything out of exsistance except those blasted cigalikes.
Those of you who haven't tried one yet, you really should. Just to see what we may well be left with.

For those who have their local B&Ms on Google +, Facebook, etc.

Share it there - I bet they'll share it amongst their peers too. I sent the ECF thread via email to the shops I frequent in my area.

Good stuff. -Mags
It's really good to have you back Magnus.

I got more than just smoke shops involved. I got other businesses that have nothing to do with the vaping industry as well that support health in a whole. It is more to pass this info along to those as well. Vape shops, smoke shops, b&m, whatever the names you call it are only a small part. We need to aim higher. Media and user errors are corupting every thing they can for the tobacco, medical, pharmacy, and even the death industry for their loses now. Local shops are not enough.

Local vape stores are a start - an essential part of the picture. If we can get a representative sample of the B&M sector we can give a real indication of the real size of the industry as a whole, and what's being consumed.

We will do the same for online stores too at some point, and then move the project on internationally.

Are you including online stores in this? I've never even been in a B & M and would bet a lot of other vapers are the same way.
Hi Linda - we will run one for online stores next.

My liquid supplier also has a B&M. I've messaged them asking them to fill out the survey. Haven't heard back yet (they haven't been on to open my Conversation to them)

Also I have spread the word in one of my threads to contact any local vendors in their area.

ECF is involved in a big project to help correct a serious problem in communications coming out of the vape world. And make no mistake, it really is a serious issue.

Put simply, the independent sector (i.e. all the businesses we engage with) is, in a sense, invisible.

That is to say - financial analysts, regulators, and any other interested parties have really, really good information as to what vape products are sold in convenience stores and other traditional retail, but they have next to no information about what's being sold in vape stores and online.

It also means that headline figures about the impact of the vaping industry are pulled out of thin air, and don't describe the real picture of the pace of innovation and needs and wants of vapers.

The net result is that there is a huge skew towards the interests of those who have their products in c-stores (typically cigalikes and egos). This plays out in the media reporting of the sector, and it plays out in the way regulations are being carved out in many states. It will also have a serious impact on tax policies - imagine: if the only represented products are the ones which contain 1-2ml of e-liquid, what's the harm in putting in place a 50c per ml tax? The industry needs to correct this with authoritative information as to what's being sold and consumed by US vapers.

So, two independent analysts - Roebling Research and ECigIntelligence - are working on a joint project alongside ECF and SFATA to survey vape stores to provide this information. The project, codenamed "Vape Manifest" (as in "to make vape manifest") has been running for around a month and has had brilliant success so far - but a final push is needed to get over the threshold so that a critical sample is gathered.

CAN YOU HELP?

Are you a B&M store? If so, please go to this link and complete the survey.

Do you frequent a B&M store? If so, please ask the owners to participate by passing them on the following link: bit.ly/Project-Vape-Manifest-Survey

Vape stores that participate will receive a summary report with the consolidated data analysis.

Please note: All data is confidential and held by Roebling and ECigIntelligence. All information will be consolidated prior to analysis so that individual stores' commercial data will not be available.

Ill be making B&M both where I am currently and where I live aware of this so they can help. Thank you for the information to get them "seen"

There are at least 10 B&M's in the local area (Fort Lauderdale, FL) that I can go to to give them this link. . .

AND - If I have "Your" permission, I would like to shorten "Your" post down to something quick and easy to read to explain the survey and why it is being done that can be printed out so it can be handed to the B&M Owners . . .

OR - Do "You" have something already available . . .

posted in a local group on FB.

You mentioned that owners that participate will get a summary of the results. Will the results be published for the rest of us? It'll be very interesting data.

Hi CES, I'm not sure what will be published - certainly SFATA are going to have a report for them to use for their lobbying.

One thing that might Increase your coverage of B&M stores is to Contact major e-Liquid manufactures and ask them if it would be possible to Contact their B&M Clients.

Someone like Cuttwood or Savage e-Liquids deals with Hundreds of B&M's

All the usual suspects of Shenaniganery in here!

I am very good friends with the owner of a huge online juice maker, who has 2 B&M's already and plans for many more ONCE this thing gets settled. I've talked to other B&M owners around here, and I hear the same thing from them. They'd love to open more stores, but are afraid of all the unknowns, to get further invested.

So a link sent to my Friend, and the 5 other B&M's local to me as well. I hope the numbers STAGGER! They gotta know the full impact of their decisions, for sure.
Thank you again SJ, for all you do!
