I hadn't heard of this before today. I vape in my car all the time and don't see any residue. I am a gearhead and take great care of my cars so if it was there I'd notice it. Maybe PG/VG reacting with window tint?

My car doesn't have aftermarket window tint.

Has anyone noticed it on steering wheel, dashboard, anything other than glass?

No, just on the glass.

I'm Ex-auto industry. I can tell you now, Window Gunk was around before vaping and without smoking.
Newer cars suffer from off gassing of plastics as well as increased air pollution.

I Vape in my Small cab Ranger all the time and rarely have to clean my windows.
A) Truck is Aged (Off Gassing has minimized)
B) Most of my travel is outside cities.

I have owned my daily driver since it was new in 1997. Never had this issue until I started vaping in my car- with something other than BLU or VEA. Didn't have this issue when I didn't smoke or vape in my car. It is from e-liquid vapor.

My wife's car gets it... But it's not from vaping. Car is over a year old and the plastics are still off-gassing. My car does not have a problem with this but I usually have outside air coming in one way or another.

It's odd cause it's a 2013 Wrangler. I vape more in my other car which is a 2003 civic and it's not as bad at all. I've smoked in the Civic way back when I didn't know the proper way to get nicotine ;)

The plastics in your Wrangler are still off-gassing. It can happen in a new car for up to 2 years pretty heavily.

Hot days and especially if it is in the sun will make it worse until the plastics dry out more.

This is the result of what gives the car that new-car smell. It is the oils in the plastics.

I'm driving a brand new Kenworth Semi truck so I spend 20+ hours a day inside it vaping all the time between driving and stopped in the sleeper taking my breaks. I have noticed a light film on the windshield that I have to clean about once every two weeks. Back when I was sucking analogues it was a twice a week cleaning but in a different truck. Now with that being said, when driving my drivers window is always cracked about an inch unless it's a hard driving rain but at the end of the day the cab is closed up and I sit at the table here in the back and vape while doing paperwork, watching tv and trolling ECF. I have also noticed what look like tiny droplets of something on the chrome like the handle for the glove box.

I'll take this film versus what I used to clean though, this stuff is clear and wipes right off with a micro-cloth, the other film from the analog days took some kind of solvent (windex etc.) and heavy scrubbing then turned the paper towels brown.

I haven't noticed it on anything other than my front windshield. It's just an annoying clear film of what I assume is VG. A quick cleaning with just some Windex and paper towels take it right off. Much better than back in the day when I did smoke in my car when I'd have to SCRUB the ever loving snot out of it to get that yellow film off.

Anybody else still getting the gunk on their car windows?? Is this nic??? I thought it was tar from cigarettes. I am a heavy vapor by the way

no its not nic. well, some of it may contain a bit of nic but its mostly PG/VG. think of it as re-constituted ejuice, with most of the goodies filtered out and absorbed by your body. its condensed exhaled vapor.

there is a product made by Rain-X that is an anti-fog compound. its incredibly effective at repelling and preventing this type of build-up. every vaper should use it. and it lasts for a long time. rub it on and youre good for like a year.
