I think alot of it has to do with a culture gap honestly. The chinese friends I have will level with you and tell you they see Americans as lazy and gullible. So they produce goods for us off that impression. Why coat brass with chrome? Cause americans will be too lazy to clean it properly and itll cost us less than copper. or silver... So more profit. If it breaks they will not bother to fix it... they will just buy another. They see us as a disposable society with no respect for quality or longevity in our goods. In a big sense, they kinda have us pegged. That is what we have become. However I think they are slowly realizing there is a large segment that expect more, and does want quality. That is the crossroads we are at now. The question will be... do they see enough profit in the middleground between disposable and non disposable

I own one one the Yiloong Caravela clones and the quality is not that great. Not the worst, but leaves a lot to be desired. I just order several ehpro Caravela clones and they gave me some actual production photos, not just the fake photoshopped ones they had up for a long time. They look pretty solid and the bottom cap looks almost dead on to the real caravela bottom cap. The plating on the brass is also 24k gold. So i think and hope these will be a lot better.

While I understand your general impression Im a white male, and american, and imho there isnt anything racist about what my friends have to say. They are, unfortunately, pretty accurate in their impression of us. After all, we are the ones readily and happily buying it all up over and over again.

Needless to say the discussion was more centered around when we may get better quality goods from china. Not about gullability. Cultural analysis is not racist in the slightest. If it was sociologists wouldnt have jobs.

As for those tbills. China owns over 25% American debt. They are our largest creditor. The only thing we have to pay them with is tbills cause we, as a country, are broke. They then turn around and buy gold with our debt, hedge the market gold rates and make a killing. All while still holding those tbills as collateral. Then use those profits to buy up profitable businesses worldwide. Including in america. So I hardly think your interpretation of gullible is correct.

Now back to caravela discussion. Thats the last Ill say about that.

Well I bought about 15 whole sale and with shipping and PayPal it was about 50ish a pc. So I plan on selling them for 70ish. I'm not sure what they go for other places because I have not found a retailer anywhere on the Internet that carries them.

I will post more photos when they arrive.

they missed a critical step in the venting of the battery
cant vent the battery though the switch with the way its designed....

looks like even the better version needs a tiny little modification. good lol. makes me a bit happier with my purchase. plus, i prefer the 18650 tube and that one was only a 350 tube.

Just got the I-atty clone in from vaportekusa. Prewrapped at 1.7ohms. Has anyone else used this clone on their caravela clone?

I got one but I cant use it. Its cracked all along the bottom of the tank. Small hairline cracks and one larger one. It arrived that way so I have to send it back.

Nevertheless, Im a little confused by it. It says on their site that it is stainless steel and a glass tank. If it is.... you coulda fooled me. The tank I believe is plastic and this is chrome coated aluminum not stainless steel. Im not a metal expert but im thinking glass and stainless steel would make this way about as much as the agat2.... which I also have and this "iatty" is no where close to that in weight.

I tried to get the owner John to call me to discuss it but he didnt want to pick up the phone and call me. He just said send it back for replacement. This after he sent me a priv carto tank clone by mistake... series of errors with my order... not a happy camper. This should have been checked before it left their hands. You can clearly see the cracks.

So no its imo not stainless and if its glass I dunno. I tried to take the tank apart briefly and it wouldnt budge so im assuming it cant be disassembled.

Anyone else know whats up with these??

i actually have a couple that came with the clones... if i were to use it, i'd scrap the coil and make a sub 1.0 Ohm ... how do you like it?
mine says Zen on it though... weird.

The negative post is pretty recessed like the agi ud. I replaced the coil with a 4/3 wrap of 28g, and I now have it at .8 ohms. While drilling the air hole out to 1/16th, I scratched some of the finish off, revealing brass. I like the looks of this clone, better than my rsst. Performance is not bad. I got a different drip tip, and top section than the one pictured on vaportekusa. The top section is flat, like an agi, rather than the sloping top section that is pictured.

were you able to get the tank separated from the atty? It seems on mine from vaportek that I cant remove the tank. Maybe its cause mine is cracked on arrival?? I couldnt separate the tank from the base or top deck.

The Chinese are not stupid,they make these Mods designed NOT too last forever,this way you keep buying them up,they are basically disposable in a way,just my 2 cents.

I forgot to mention that i was also sent a privo clone, the rba with the tobeco box (blue and white box). I had to wait a few more days to get the iatty clone. I can confirm with you that the rba looks to be brass underneath it's silver plating (the plating is coming off a bit at the top, and that the tank is glass. I know this, cause i dropped it. Sigh, it cracked.
