Legend and I appreciate the well wishes. He is laying in bed with me as I type:
I can see the pain in his face but he is doing well.

Awww...bless his heart. He will heal on up[emoji6] I'm guessing the vet has him on Metacam or something similar for pain? If he wants to get a little more active than he should, you can also add Rescue Remedy drops or even some Benadryl . Both very safe ways to take the edge off[emoji6]

One of my ratties lived on it for months when I first rescued her. She was a mangled mess and went thru tons of surgeries to try and save her badly mangled leg. Eventually had to have it amputated. She had been injured for a very long time. Someone found her and took her to a shelter where I did a rescue pull. Couldn't give her up after all that and adopted her myself [emoji6] She is now a therapy dog.

Dogs are so great and very resilient! Give him hugs from me and my little pack.

I know how it feels with dogs.
My jack Russell Wishbone in the picture lived to 16 and it was so hard to see him go, he was a big part of the family.
I lost my other Toy Fox terrier Snippy in September, he was 14 and my Toy Manchester terrier Missy she was 13 in 2013 so its been a REALLY rough few years with all of them dying.
I now have a Yorkie named Lizzy and a Morkie named Ginger.

I'm really diggin my Stumpy. The only problem is that I keep wanting to call it "Stampy"...like the elephant from that Simpsons episode.

Chowderhead, take some time off. These aren't necessities, just wants. I have 3 rescues and if anything happened to any of them I would put things aside and take care of what is the most important. You're not going anywhere just as we aren't going anywhere. I truly wish your "man's best friend" a quick recovery and let business carry on when the time is right. I visit the animal shelter often and if you feel anything like I do when I leave there then you must be hurtin'. Best wishes.

Feel the same way, think more of dogs than most people, my dog is always there with a happy face.

Tom, we love you and your work, but your responsibilities to us (if they can even be called that) pale in comparison to your obvious connection to that pooch.

Most everyone in here has enough CH atties to keep us more than satisfied until you get over this hump.

Take care and put all your energy into your pal. We'll keep the place hopping while you focus.
