Thanks Paul. I may have to try the triple twisted 30. I have some that I never use anymore, so it may be a good reuse. Now to find videos of how to twist wire. I know that it usually involves a drill...LOL.

Check out Rip's videos on twisting wire. Or just put 2-4 strands in a drill chuck, keep tension on them with some pliers or other tool and hit the trigger. Start kinda slow, but you can speed up a bit after it gets going. Some twists you can spin until the wire breaks, others will kink before that point. Also you can "straighten" the individual strands before you twist if you want.

It's there but I have given up on keeping it current. What are you after? I am not ordering anymore clones... My distributor nearly fainted....
I have tons of attys btw.
I have:
Derringers 30+
Stumpys (5 or less until Friday) 35 more Friday
Rogues (Authentic)
Vectors
Freakshow minis
Atty3 (much nicer Hellboy alternative, authentic and almost the same price)
Hobo3 with pin
Hornets(14mm factory BF)

Also trying to blow out Bambino and Hellboy clones (not bottom fed) for $5 each discount for quantities over ten. I have a bunch.

James, just chuck up an Allen wrench and go from there. At 2.5mm, you might end up having to go 6 or 7 wraps to get to your preferred .4-.5 ohms. There are some good YouTube videos on twisting. Give it a rip. Put that useless 30 to good use!:)

I'm sold out of stumpys.... I will have another 35 on Friday though. I ordered a few EM chuff caps for them as well. The mantas will be done in the next few hours then on to the Nectars.

Just to be sure, I was on the Stand By list for a Manta. Should I hang out til the next run? No problem if so.

Thanks

I actually just did it. It was pretty easy. I used 28 though. I have two spools of wire that have no markings on them. I think one is 30 and the other is 32....man this stuff is tiny. I may try one of them next. I haven't used it yet as I don't have anything that need rewicking at the moment.

Got it! Glad you clarified that for me wolf [emoji4]Now I understand. How about the nichrome wire?

There are three types of Nichrome I know of; NIC200 is for Temp Control devices, Nichrome 60 & Nichrome 80 are used in non-Temp Control Mechs & Regulated devices.

The NIC 60 designation is for the percentage of Nickel each wire contains, the remainer is Chromium16% & 24% Iron for NIC 60, and 80% Nickel 20% Chromium, no iron, for NIC 80. Nic 60 or 80 is about two gauges thicker than Kanthal, so 30g Nic is around 28gKanthal resistance wise, I've only used NIC 80, 28g & 26g, for the last ~8 months and love it, I temper before winding my coils.

I hope this clarifies a few things for you.

As mentioned I think the more surface the more taste and vapor but it comes with a price (faster battery drain) imo.

Thanks tom! That does. I was looking at some Nichrome 80 to try out. I use mech squonkers 95% of the time [emoji4]

Thats what I use my 30g for. I even have a drill-less method that I use that I found on u-toob. Works pretty good, especially since me and power drills don't see eye to eye with my wonky hands. LOL

This is kickin' my ash right now...
(sorry it's not on a CAM atty - but my Rogue is ALSO kickin' ash!)

I figured I'd give twists another try, and this is right at the edge of "holy crap in a good way" and "too hot for me or my wick".
Used a pen to loosely twist 26g, 6-wraps, 2mm, for 0.4 ohm single.

Twist 4 strands of that 32 and twist it tight until just before it starts to kink - good stuff. That's the wire used in my avatar, almost looks like a skinny clapton.
