I dunno, I squeezed a bit though. How are you inserting em? I've been putting one in, bending it's legs up and inwards. Then the next I put on the outside of those legs and bend them up and outwards before fastening.

I just did another build with one extra wrap by mistake. So closer to .5 ohms but it's fine I think. Usually like lower but this atty packs some heat anyway. Cure is tasting good.

This atty oozes flavor. May be the best flavor atty I've ever used.

Thanks I will have to try that. I don't bend the legs of the 1st coil first I do it all at the same time.

Not sure it will help with what you're experiencing or not...happens to me too a bit. As we push our coil towards the posts the ends separate out a bit. May just be a pincher of an atty unless we do really long coils.

I'm actually fairly confident this is skyrocketing to my number one atty spot but I all too often jump to conclusions too fast on attys. But man I love it. I want to tinker with builds to see if I've got it built well but it tastes too good to tinker. I set my coils height wise to about 3/8 inch from where the top cap meets the base of the atty. The flavor is just blowing my mind.

Thanks CH! Got my Manta today and coiled it up. This thing rocks! Great flavor, no leaking, works great with a single coil and the black afc looks good on my black wrinkle Reo. Naturally it squonks and drains great, thanks to your work. Oh yeah did I mention this thing rocks!

Mantas arrived today! I think I'll start like this:

The "spiral heat fins" seem a little small to be effective, but that's OK. The part count is nice and low.

Can somebody recommend a good build for wide open air flow?

I will, next time I have the top cap off. Sorry, I forgot to take a side view earlier, when I set this one up. But if you're setting the center of your coils about 9 or 10mm up from the underside of the base, it's about right. 9mm seems ideal, but 10mm would be fine.
