Isn't this a pretty rainbow?
Anyone else have the VTC discolor much more and faster than other batteries?
I don't stress 'em AT ALL - like, i never even hit 10 amps...

It's not discoloration per se. It's juice getting between the battery and the wrap. It's more noticeable on the more transparent colors. The green of the vac and the new 25rs make it more noticeable.

While it could for certain be that it's more noticeable on light colors, there's NO WAY that it's juice!
That battery's never seen a even a hint of a drop of liquid. Except for a teensy bit of Deoxit - but that was "brushed" on, not enough to seep.
I am certain that our batteries either discolor the wrapper from a little warmth, or else actually leak something OUT that causes this...
And I know it's normal - just was wondering if the VTC's were more prone to do it. Of those 3 batteries, the Samsung's the oldest (and the LG just came off it's very first charge - haven't used it yet).

Cut the wrap off and feel/smell for yourself. My vtcs have "leaked" a substance that smells very similar to unicorn milk. How does it know?

... unless that's what unicorn milk actually is.

I have several VTCs in use, and they all have some discoloration under the wrap. It's apparently common. I've seen others ask about in other threads and forums. I have no idea what it is; but the batteries charge and perform just fine. I'm thinking it's just condensation, which shows up more, because VTCs have translucent wrappers.

I just paid for them yesterday, you should be good. And even if they come in and you aren't ready just let me know that you want it and that you are working on it and I will hold it/them for you. If you are in communication with me I have no issue holding. It's when people just dissapear; I assume that they are no longer interested.
Awesome! Thank you Tom. Anyone have a recent list?

I'm told that Ti might be a possibility but the cost will be astronomical. Who's ready for a Ti dna200 milled bottom feeder for $1000? Now that's high end.....

I might do one or 2 and do a raffle and donate it all to Wounded Warrior. I want one but good grief!

Might I suggest a Ti-6Al-4V CAM-R auction or raffle and donate the proceeds to CASAA?

I'd be seriously interested in a 6-4 squonk mod. I did my PhD thesis on the fracture behavior of this amazing "vintage" titanium alloy.

Some helpful machining tips:

*********Please bare in mind once these are ordered back outs will make me most inhospitable..... Prepare for ridicule. If you need out now's the time. This will already leave me sitting on 15 of them and I'm paying a premium in both price per piece and $100 in shipping. The market is dead for these so I can't liquidate them top fed like most other attys. In a word please earmark the funds and forget about them. I don't want to take deposits, I just don't work that way. I just can't afford to get stuck with 25 of these. The Manta2 is an awesome BF atty for those that have vision but it's a hard sell for those looking for the latest and greatest "HYPE" atty so Facebook sales of these is pretty much off the table. Most of the people on this list are flavor chasers as it should be.***********

These are officially ordered and paid for as of Friday 9-25-15
This is the most recent list

Canada? lol, but seriously there is a need for knowledgeable squonkers in Boston. I have yet to physically meet or even see anyone who squonks. Is that crazy? Anyway, thanks to ECF,there's access to the most experienced, knowledgeable vapers out there. :thumb:

I was walking around Taipei when I was visiting in July 2014. A guy runs over to me out of nowhere and is like, "is that a reo grand in your hand with an rm2?!?" I answered yes, looks like he was visiting from Cali, and noticed my reo, cuz he has one back in Cali. I live on the east coast CONUS, crazy small world in a city of 21million.

Man, I was hoping on all the pieces coming together simultaneously, you know? Anyway, Im trying out this 26650 mod. Does anyone out there know whats the best battery for it: eleaf, king kong, what?
