I believe the Efest green 26650 is the current preferred battery. I have keepower Hugh current batteries which did well in my dna40 monster.

Look in to the Vappower 26650, I'm using these been well impressed

Mine did two, leave just two holes open, that fixed it for me.

Mine don't whistle; more of a whoosh. But closing down to 2 or 2 1/2 holes on each side helps. Otherwise, it's a great atty.

In my experience there is no clear answer on what causes the Thump to whistle or not. Just a minor adjustment of the AFC/coil/wick is usually enough to get rid of the flute. It's probably a chaotic system inside the atty with lots of non linear effects going on.

I like the Thump alot but wish it was two-post.

If I remember right that helped me, and also adjusting the airholes to 2 or 2 1/2.

I have one of those CV cloud chaser tips on my Thump for now, and AFC wide open. Thankfully no whistle. I do have some good sized 3/32 coils installed that may be making a difference.
