Thanks Man!!!!
Never mind... I found it!!!!I just built a Kanthal coil for my first Squonk mod... It's vaping like a champ! I've been using TC and titanium G1, for it's obvious (to me) health benefits, it being a medically accepted "pure" metal..I'm so psyched to get a Catfish Stumpy for my squonk mod. I've been using a Stumpy clone for a few mos. The question is... Do any of you use Ti G1 with your mech mods?
I realize that there is an issue with over heating Ti as far as creating titanium oxide, as I understand it that is only created around 3200 deg F. I'm sure that you experienced Vaporers will have opinions and knowledge of such an endeavor.. I hope this isn't on the wrong forum, If it's not a relavent subject matter please forgive me? Thank You Very Much!, Ted
Yes sir. Two regular and two LXV editions. Probably the easiest of all the 2 post attys to build on. I still have one that I use occasionally, well built atty.CH, you have any of these in stock by chance? I remember hearing about them here....JH mentioned them in Mr Mann's dripper thread N8 Mods - Solstice V1 RDA
I had this problem when I started using the dna40 vs. 350j. What worked for me was to increase temp to 530f at first. After a couple of hours I was able to back down to 480-490 without it hitting T. P. Which is still way higher than what I am used to.OK, I moved the Ni coil around & rewicked it but kept hitting temp protect so I trashed it since it wasn't satisfying at all. I did a Ti build instead, 26awg, pinched coil at .45 ohms. Much much better, tons of vapor & taste at 320f (i.e. actual 420f due to Ti being set 100 degree's lower than desired temp)
How do would you compare the Thump to the Stumpy? I know it is better with duals. What about leakage, airflow, etc. thanks!!
This is a pretty ingenious method of wicking. Creates a smooth cyclonic draw... thank you Peng for the info.I angled it a bit more for this picture. I don't vape it with the coil this close to the posts.
