Catfish Atty Mods the next Chapter

So I got my authentic Manta in today, and it will not screw onto my Peko. Which at the moment in the only mod I have. And unfortunately the Manta is the only atty I have, sold some stuff to fund a purchase. Anyways, it won't screw onto it. The diameter of the 510 seems smaller than the diameter of the Pekos 510. Anyone else run into this?

Yea.. Basically. It acts like the threads are going to catch, but spins right out of them. Atty will seat all the way to the underside of the deck onto the top of the Peko, but does not thread into it. This is a new one on me.. I haven't had any issues with any other atty on this device. Funny thing is.. The Manta threaded onto my ohm reader just fine. I don't understand. All I know is it's not look good for vaping anytime soon

Do you have any other atty to compare it to? Have you used the Peko with any other atty? Sounds like the 510 on the peko is oversized. Does it have a fdv 510? I have never had or built a Peko so please forgive my ignorance.

I've used it with a bunch of other attys. I just took off the clone Manta I had been using this morning. Unfortunately I sold it, and shipped it out today before trying the authentic. Actually sold all of my other bottom fed stuff to fund a Tmod.

I try... It seems there are a few deficiencies with the manta authentic that I didn't see. When dealing with clones I scrutinize, but authentics I typically don't have to. I should have.. The phillipino 22mm attys have issues previously hence the lack of a Samurai Bonsai authentic run. If I get a whiff of issues on an authentic I abort mission. I have never heard of an issue with JD Tech previously. This makes 2 out of 25. Look over your manta Authentics and let me know of any issues. 1 is a fluke 2 or more out of 25 is an eye opener. I will need the best resolution pics you can take via email.

If I'm remembering correctly the Peko uses the classic FDV 510

Exactly my point. If it makes you feel any better my manta tastes like crap right now. I was in a hurry to build it and didn't even rinse it off. Tastes like Tide laundry detergent. Better than oil I suppose but not much.

My ohm checker that every atty that leaves here has the same connector on it I didn't notice any abnormalities. Actually on had a bad thread but it was re-threaded upon discovery. If I do any more phillipino authentics I will scrutinize. As I recall there was a bad batch of cyclone also. I'm almost glad I didn't end up doing the Omertà authentic run.

I have had similar problems with some FD classic 510's as used on the Pekos. Some are too large. Luckily, I had multiple attys and found one that fit (magma, love that extra long 510). There is lots of variability in the threading on those 510s. Some are just right and all atty's thread right in. I have an A7 that has very small threads and only fits into one of my FD 510s. I have some copper conductive tape that I plan to use next time I decide to change attys. I am hoping a little tiny piece will tighten things up. That looseness is very annoying. They are easy to use but so inconsistent.

I have a Manta authentic and a clone. Both of mine are fine. No issues, other than the wonky post holes on the clone. But both 510 threads are perfect.
